- In this video we will be replacing the electrics (conductor) plate on the 7G transmission. See how to remove it for rebuild or replacement. See parts 3 - 4 for the remainder of the procedure
Mercedes-Benz 722.9 transmissions, also known as the 7G tronic, have been in production from model year 2003 to present. This 7 forward speed transmission with 2 reverse gears has been known to have some common problems that require servicing of the internal, valve body and ECU electrics plate. Please be aware that the ECU plate is a theft deterrent part on vehicles fitted with this 7G transmission, and a locksmith license (LSID) will be required when purchasing Theft Relevant Parts (TRP).
When a fault occurs in the ECU electronics plate also known as a conductor plate, fault codes for the Turbine Speed Sensor may be present along with symptoms like; improper shifting, Limp Home Mode all accompanied by a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL). For a complete description and list of possible fault codes please refer to our help document or contact support.

Do you know which one those solenoids is the "D"Circuit. I have a p2759. hard shift occasionally.
You can use a wiring diagram for your vehicle to identify the solenoid in question.
Hi
Thanks for your video
Would mind if you let me know how solenoids are numbered?

Can I take the plate out of the broken trans & put it in the new, used trans & it will work ?
No, needs programming.
Did you use new fasteners on the ECU or the pan?
Yes.
what keeps oil from coming in the conductor plate side of the plug? I seem to have oil in my plug, but new rings do nothing. Seems it would need a seal on the back of the plug on the conductor plate side. Has anyone seen similar? Plz help 😢
That is an internal leak in the part. You can't seal it with an O-ring, needs a new plate.
If this fails, would I have a check engine light or any light in the dash?
Yes.
How do you program this valve bory

Please! gaskets don't fail just use the old one but tighten DIY tight with real hex head screws discard theirs. Tricks of the trade
That is incorrect. Rubber and plastic degrades. Please replace gaskets.
How to do you marry it to the transmission (coding)
Please see the video for step 3 - coding/programming with iSCAN - th-cam.com/video/xWbZ00pAXX4/w-d-xo.html
Submerge in 5 gal of gas shake it over and over and watch what comes out of it. That's your problem dirty transmission. I have a custom S550 I did it and the key started working again and transmission is fixed. So now you see that your neutral switch connection was dirty.

Thank you, Eric.
Thanks for the info.
U don’t show how to connect the plug
We do in the following parts of the video, where programming takes place. This is due to the old pate being plugged in to pull the data from, before plugging in the replacement one.
Always used ur hand to catch any bolt never a gun simple so I see few mistakes
Thanks you for watching!
