There's no way it's 1800 players in PvP for its max cap per camp. Glad zenimax is doing SOMETHING for PvPat least, whatever the reason is. I'd love to see old school PvP fights back and more incentive to go into PvP. Like bringing out new weapons, ect, only obtained by doing PvP. And I don't mean with AP. I mean, end of campaign rewards
yeah end of campaign rewards could use some extra incentive, I think especially when it comes to leaderboard stuff. But it also sucks that leaderboards are just AP based, even the card game has a better competitive system which is insane to me.
@@mrmondaynzthat's shocking when you consider Throne & Liberty will have dungeon raids with up to 75 players involved. If Throne can do 75 players for one dungeon then cyro which is PvP 3 alliances should be popping double those figures per alliance minimum.
I left the game 2 years ago but I still enjoy watching you play, reminds me of my old times. ooh and you have the best music taste for videos, jazz and ESO!! well done.
You can tell how many people play a camp by joining at the end and seeing your position on leader boards, it’s normally about 200 people on Xbox eu and that’s including alt accounts
Population is around 70per faction based on current estimates and fights. The most players in one group we fought before was 82 iirc (AotP on PC NA) and the population feels way less than those times (also there were some people playing not in group with them so it gave us an estimate of around 90 or so players as a cap).
I do miss ESO Pvp! bgs were super fun when I played.... waiting for them to actually ADD new bg maps/modes... or to update/change IC. when I played back before Blackwood. IC was always either had zero population or me + 2-3 vs ball group of 40 (real balanced there). shit if SWTOR had combat like ESO, I would never even touch ESO. The story is good.. but not even in the same league as SWTOR
Hey man, your builds and guides really help out new players like me! A question: how much does race matter? I've been enjoying my Khajiit maul gankblade, but I just love the look of Argonians. How much worse would I perform if I make the exact same build with argonian instead of khajiit?
Good to hear! It matters, but not as much as optimizing your build. So choosing the right sets, upgrading items, getting all the correct poisons, potions, vampire, skill levels etc matters more. Only when you did all that, it will be noticeable what race you have. So to answer for your case, when you fully (and correctly) equip an entire build, you can get an extra edge in damage with khajiit. It is not necessary and you can perform well without khajiit too. My nb (which you see in gank and bombing videos on my channel) is a high elf, also marginally worse than khajiit for this purpose.
I would be nice to k know the cap. It would also be nice to know what pop lock is. We've all seen all 3 factions pop locked but noticed a substantial numbers difference in game. Could be an RP guild in a cave somewhere I guess.
The announcement is shown in Steam library, so if you don't always start the game from the library (like using desktop shortcut), you may miss this news.
It’s kind of apples and oranges but I’ve played planetside 2, an open world FPS game akin to a shooter Cyro, for around 4k hours and that game has always been very transparent about its population numbers. Both in terms of who is at a fight and max map pops. The game started with 2k players per map, dropping to 1800, then 1200, and then down to 900 when I last played. Comparing the amount of players I’ve seen at fights on continents in that game vs this one makes it very clear that there is almost no way 1800 people are running around Cyro during pop lock. Even accounting for how much harder it is to get to a fight in ESO vs PS2, fights are way smaller and fewer in number. A skirmish in PS2 is 12v12, in eso it’s a 2v1 at a town haha. Slightly related but PS2 also holds the world record for most people in an fps battle at about 1.2k and fights would regularly hit 200 people or more back in the day. I definitely know what several hundred people look like at a fight and the zergs I see standing in front of doors in ESO do not come close. If there are 1800 people in Cyro then there are A LOT of nightblades sneaking around questing haha. Anyway, I’m looking forward to getting together with my buddies and enjoying this mini mayhem event :)
Oh this is going to be a disaster. There have been some 50 v. 50 fights recently (past couple days) where its been impossible to do anything at all, even moving was like playing in molasses. But based on my observations, and using Miat's to see my own factions counts in a fight (and get a rough estimate of the enemies), the cap is no more than 100 per faction, so 300 total. I play in Blackreach though, so maybe its higher in Gray Host (prioritizing resources or whatever).
Maybe if they could update their servers, then we wouldn't be seeing more people waiting in que than there are in the zone. 75 is a low number and waiting an hour or more to get into cyro every day is just pushing me away from this game... it would be nice to see more areas of this game get the attention that it needs, not just the sad item shop.
Need no proc cyro as main campaign with caps in max health & resistances. Anything more than 35k hp & 3k crit resistance needs nerfed imo. The current meta makes poor players look decent and that's a bad place to be 😂
I think they need to give a lot of these sets diminishing returns based on group size in pvp ( while battle spirit is active) for example rallying cry, sets that can use this tweak is powerful assault, arkasis, transmutation, meritorious service and more. The problem with straight nerfing things is it’s hurts the individual, I’m and 100% against tanks but nerfing health and resistance is not the answer. All changes should be worked to reduce the effectiveness of ballgroups, wether that be actual sets or skills or cp, but should not effect solo or small scale players. I think the most effective thing they can do is make group sets and heals worse based on the amount of group members near by.
PvP in this game will never be popular because the combat is garbage by MMORPG standards. The whole concept of needing to "cancel" effects is horrible combat design. And that's truly sad because the game had a lot of potential. I would have been playing it if the combat was streamlined.
Thank you for the effort and helping kerp PvP alive.

Yeah, the cap is closer to 300 total, 100 per faction, maybe even as low as like 80 per faction.
@acastanza I know someone using a mod that displays max players involved in battles... has never reached more than 75 players per alliance.

great to see a new video again

Oddly I got the notice of this from my Google feed mixed in with the news.

Did you see how many polar wind spamming wardens were in that clip 😂
nice !
They should just keep updating the hardware for a solid 6 months of clean gameplay specially before midyear mayham
Never put a camp on the well! Lol

Some how Some way they need to merge all servers
I stopped my active eso pvp gaming until they finally fixed the combat bug and some more. And it became boring to do the same things every day too.

So you would like to take intricacies in the combat out of eso and homogenize things further. That's sad to hear.
First :)
