    This lady is a present day prophetess to be taken seriously and listened to by contemporary and future leaders of Uganda. She is sensitive, tender and humorous. I like her wording and facial expression. Without any doubt, Dr. Miria Matembe deeply loves her/our country. Thank you sister for your concern. George M.Kigozi (Munich, Germany)

    So much love and respect ❤️ 😍 💖 to you, Dr. Miria. Once a person stands on ethics and integrity, most Ugandans cant take it coz their DNA right from the male sperms, conception and breastfeeding babies, corruption, greed and socio-economic and political injustices is their staple food. From the head to root and vice-versa everything rotten. Imagine the spouses, family, members, friends cheat and kill each other, how can we have sane and ethical leaders really? I have experienced corruption and i had to resign my government job to preserve my life. They openly tell you that you must join the system because you dont have a choice. Fire in the name of Jesus Christ. Unless they restore justice, cursed are all who oppress the weak and vulnerable.

    Thank you Dr. Miria Matembe for your Presentation and views.
    As for me, I feel the members of Parliament that removed term limit to allow a candidate with potential continue standing for elections multiple times was really worthy while.
    The term limits were limiting even the good things that Ugandans were supposed to obtain.
    For example, our President H.E Gen YK Museveni has always given space for people to enjoy fundamentals of human rights which is really the gist of matter in Democracy. A case in point is you and the senior Journalist Solomon Serwanja who are now freely expressing your views and will later go back and live happily in your homes without any threat to life.
    He is sensitive of how to administer and provide people with fundamental or necessary needs which is very important in democracy and the reason why people elect or change leaders.
    He has always been changing ministers and retiring other civil servants thus bringing new ministers and new civil servants thus rotating civil servants to distribute wealth among Ugandans.
    He has done several developments which we are not completely sure that other new Presidents would have brought because such wisdom is not common.
    Experience is a requirement in leadership. It creates perfection in all fields both in academic and skills. Our President is more experienced and getting such experienced leaders like our leader H.E. Gen YK Museveni, Like President Putin of Russia, Like President Xi Ping of China and let him go like that we would be regarded as habitual fools. We should exploit his wisdom fully.
    We elect a President every five years and it is only people who feel and know that changing the current President for a new one might bring some shocks in economic, political, social stability thus having H.E The President Gen YK Museveni continue to rule and providing guidance and direction where necessary does no harm as long as he continue maintaining this good governance spirit and as long as he is in good Physical, Mental and overall good Medical health.

    I am not Ugandan but African. Dr. Matembe has outlined her frustrations with Museveni and decries the betrayal she has felt. However, not withstanding the fact that there could be others within the country to take the nation forward, I have doubts that such a person would have resisted the political invasion engineered by the conniving Western States like Museveni could. I fear that, not having a depth grasp of the internal politics in Uganda, whosoever would have assumed the reign would have been beholden to the whims of the West who, at best, are the funders of such opposition parties. I want to believe that Africa cannot afford to mimick the western democracy and pretend to understand their ways and think we could transplant their norms by thinking that removal of leaders every 4-5 years would help us. Germany, Russia and even the US have longer years of Presidential leadership and we don't question them. The US, one may argue, has no such but I would beg to differ because their system is a two horse one and that guarantees that parties could reignite their policies when reelected, a situation that has been the case ever since. Imagine Kagame ruling only for 5 years, would we have had this Rwanda today? No. The West desires to have us fall into that trap for they desire to take out those who would not serve their interests. As for human rights, show me 1 country where people don't disappear or are ostracized forever, that country does not exist! I warn us Africans not to think that the world we interact with has angels ruling them.

    Solomon, I have to be honest with you. There are no angels on any side. Gotta figure this out yourself. Across-the-board the old generation needs to build young leaders. On one hand, we do need to liberalize power, but on the other hand, freedom does not mean democracy. I don’t want to live like the kingdom of Israel and I certainly don’t live a place where I can’t vocalize my thoughts. I’m about somewhere in the middle.

    Lutwa and okello were good people, they had the opportunity to destroy this country but they choose dialogue. Not speaking English doesn't make them ignorant, they embraced many civilian politicians like , kawanga ssemwogere, mayaja nkangi, and many more .museveni and you NRA people made it hard for them, you overthrew them when you pretended to be having peace talks in Nairobi.

    • @thelies-uganda7096
      @thelies-uganda7096 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tell them, they keep on lying thinking Ugandans are stupid. After the removal of Idi Amin the late president Obote was not in power. It was Museveni and those of Lule who were in Uganda messing up the country. Museveni wanted to prepare for war, they knew Obote was going to come back and if election is held, Obote would win. Not because he will rigg but because the liberation war against Amin was fought in his name and many Ugandans then knew about it.
      Those of Matember and Museveni wanted power so much and this lead them to start a war that have caused so many life of our brothers and sisters. A war they have failed to justify it to date. If election was rigged in 1980, where is the evidence? If there was killing under Obote II government why did Museveni and those of Matembe fail to bring the late president Obote to book (Court)?
      Sudan took Gen Bashir to the court. Egypt tood Mubarak who dies in prison to the court? Why is the one of Uganda different?
