Thanks Solomon for the hard talk. Senior Timothy Kalyegira is a well informed analyst. He carefully articulates his views without deliberately embarassing or offending anyone. Hope you can invite him back in the near future.
As a Kenyan I find this a very informative interview on the political landscape in Uganda. If I'm being honest, this is very worrying but we hope things will get to a point where the people of Uganda will rise up and demand for a better country. We wish you guys well.
I have really enjoyed this interview. Solomon , you need host Timothy Kalyegira again in about one year to reflect on his ‘predictions’ and also share his wisdom on the 2026 election .
Thank you Solomon for hosting Timothy . Kalyegira thank you for being consistent ever since I started following you in 2009 on Kfm. I have enjoyed your show. Big up Aiij.
This Karyegira man is a good analyst, I have found a Westerner-balanced analysis of Museveni governance, thumbs to you, and thanks Solomon for the selection.
Thank you for the analysis it really on point and it show someone who is a ful time thinker who has been following whatever has been and still happening in Uganda
Watching Tim's analysis of Mr. Museveni's inner system of governance was like watching a thriller spy/espionage documentary movie. His eloquence and simplicity yet nerve wracking. He just puts you on the edge of your seat.
The moment I saw it was Timothy, I definetely had to pause everything and watch what he had to say. Long live Timothy, Long live AIIJ. God bless Solomon
Great analysis from your Sharp analyst. Important issue raised: informal and formal power structures It is true African leaders prefer informal power structures as opposed to formal power structures that are legitimately put in place by the constitution There are reasons and advantages for this. It is true informal power structures ensure power consolidation, bring in real intelligence, protect the state, ensures the state security and that of the supreme leader However informal power structures don't help that much during transition! Transition tend to be messy because of the intense fights in the informal Governments You can look how president Robert Mugabe failed to execute his transition. Zanu PF stalwarts rejected president Mugabe's succession plan Closer home in Kenya former president Uhuru appeared not to prefer his deputy to succeed him. The results were obvious. Formal Government structures tend to triumph over the wheeler dealers during transitions So the succession in Uganda shall be watched Keenly from Africa and all over the world
Thank you Mr. Solomon for inviting Mr. Kalyegira. Uganda and the world are keenly watching the drama in the NRM/UPDF regime with their beloved son. They will embarrass themselves just like how Israel is doing now.
I feel Timothy Kalyegire needs hosted again and again before. His insights are so brilliant and very articulated. I love the way he puts every word, he is a careful and organized person in his speech. Kudos Sserwanjja for hosting Timothy.
But NUP swept constituencies in the so-called NRM's Mecca(Luweero), and arguably defeated Mu7 nationally, only to be rigged out in the most brutal election ever. So please discard that vain elitist attitude in politics where numbers matter most@juliakatsigwa1088
We have missed such insights for a long time from the 4th estate. Since the 4th estate was captured by the NRA, Tim was brought in memories of his 90's 2000s insights into this thing called NRA and RPF
Balaam is a powerful man. If you don't know. When the president camped in Kakumiro I was present and Balaam is the only one who was accessing the presidents residential tent. Not even ministers were allowed there
Not biased at all, such people are good to have for the development of the country. Kudos to the team.
Thanks Solomon for the hard talk. Senior Timothy Kalyegira is a well informed analyst.

I doubt whether he can join such a party , based on its foundation
But NUP is about quantity, not quality
But NUP swept constituencies in the so-called NRM's Mecca(Luweero), and arguably defeated Mu7 nationally, only to be rigged out in the most brutal election ever. So please discard that vain elitist attitude in politics where numbers matter most@juliakatsigwa1088
