    I scoffed at all cosmetic procedures, anti-aging stuff etc. Then I turned 50.

    • @MalikaSmile
      @MalikaSmile 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hahaha yes, I am turning 50 next year. . I didn't really scoff, but I definitely ignored the whole industry and had a "whatever makes one happy, but not for me." attitude. That has changed dramatically in the last 6 months. I think I might actually be on the menopausal train ? Because I see drastic changes in my face, over a very short period of time. So I have been learning a lot about the subject.
      What I learned up till now : The only procedures I would get done if my eyes begin to droop, is the eye-lid reduction. If done well, it is seemles. And the second procedure I would get done, if the corners of my mouth begin to droop, is botox in the depressor anguli oris. It is about the only place where I would want botox on my face.
      To keep my skin firm, with an even complexion and wrinkle free, I am betting my money on the aduro led face mask, that should be arriving any day now. I will see, when I turn 60, if it did anything and if I can postpone a face lift until I am 70 😃
      To keep/get the muscle volume in my face and not get wrinkly doing weird faces in the mirror, I started using the Nuface microcurrent device last week 😄
      And to top it off, today I bought a second hand HairMax laserband to counter hairloss, that apparently starts when one slips into menopause ? Who knew. 🤷‍♀️
      We will see in 5 years if it was all worth it or not 😎

      I’ve always been afraid of doing the Botox but I just turned 48 and I’m starting to see some aging signs especially in between the brows so now I’m considering it now. I will probably do it for the first time real soon. And just like he said I’ve started to unconsciously lift my right brow causing wrinkles to form only on my right side!

    I'm 25 and I've noticed I permanently use my forehead muscle to elevate my eyelids. I do this daily without actually realising it. If I try to relax it, it's actually hard to keep it relaxed. Now I already have a wrinkle in my forehead due to this. But Whenever I relax this muscle it causes a lot of heaviness in my eyes and they droop a lot. I just look very sad when I relax my forehead because my eyes start to droop.

      @@KH-xj5qw For men it’s “distinguished” lol. I’ve heard someone say this about my SO. He has very deep lines in his forehead and has had since he was in his 20’s. I think in women, though, we aren’t usually though of as looking “distinguished” when we have deep wrinkles, unfortunately!

      I have the same 😬 i lift my brows up to get a more youthful, happy and pretty look in the eyes otherwise i look tired, sad and angry. But now 32 year old I've got deep wrinkles now in my forehead due to this.
      I don't have money for eyebrow lift surgery, so I always lift them up. But it has caused wrinkles. I wanna do botox to lift them up but I'm scared. I tried once and my brows dropped even more and I looked so mad angry and even worse when relaxed

    I much rather have Spock eyebrows than droopy tired eyes, a high eyebrow arch (within limits) is a sign of youth. I like that look because it doesn't last and after a few days it goes down a bit and looks more natural.

    Hi Doc...I had 36 botox injections..this is what you would use on a migraine patient because I have Trigeminal Neuralgia and TMJ issues. I received relief from it but now have a droopy eyelid. He used 75 units of botox could this cause insomnia because it started from day one of botox even though I take a sleeping tablet. I also had a fusion on C5-C6 about 7 months ago maybe this is adding to the facial pain. What would be the best places to inject. I could email you for the information. I live in South Africa. I stumbled upon your videos doing a google search on baby botox. Glad i saw this! I am learning about injections, received some, had the eyelid drop and heaviness, and now experimenting with baby botox for myself. Any thoughts on baby botox? or Micro tox? So far, no heaviness, but i'm very nervous and only on day 4. Last time, day 9 was when the lid ptosis hit. I also do NOT want to drop future clients. I am asian with very hooded lids with visible eyelashes, but the lid drop did completely cover the lashes. so this scenario is sure to be something i'll be seeing or NOT seeing if done properly. LOL. Would love to hear your thoughts on baby botox or if you have a video on that. Thanks!

    Will I get charged again if I ask my doctor to fix the spok eye look! I look evil! My brows lift only on the end and now my eyes are more hooded and the skin on my eyes pulls the sides because the outer muscles on my brow still lift but not the inside of my brow! It’s awful! When I put my eyeshadow on I have way more hooded lids. I also had my neck bands done and I see no results. He did my lips and they are crooked. Ugh! He’s been doing these injections since 2003. This was my first time getting anything done.
