The reason the speeder bikes were not filled out, same as the troopers, is because there was a battlepack to go with it. You could add more with the battlepack (sadly no excuse for it being so expensive and lackluster)
Thanks for letting me know. Figures they would have a separate battle pack to grab for additional cost. At $850 that should have been included for sure.
I got back into Lego in February this year. This was one of the first things I bought. No regrets. I still marvel at the detail and size. The build as you said was tedious but worth it for the end product.
Agree with pretty much everything said here, but if you weren't looking it hit LEGO's Insiders Week sale. 20% off ($170 value) 2x insider points ($70 worth of store credit) Rakuten 10% cash back ($70 cash back) plus the record player and winter train GWPs (not sure what they're selling for at the moment but probably about $60-70 between the two sets) All that combines for nearly $370 worth of additional built-in value. Not sure if it will come back from "out of stock" status now but worth keeping an eye on. I placed mine within a few minutes of going live and it's backordered.
I agree. The Amazing deal on insiders weekend was definitely the best time to get this set! Definitely added a lot more value to the set purchase which made the value much better.
@@StnkyMunkyGamez even at the discount it's still overpaying, the fck are you talking about? and it's 120 based on it's original retail price. 170 after they increased it. you made up 200
I really enjoyed your review. All of your talking points were spot on and I agree with. I got the AT AT during May 4th lego promo and got 4x insider points to semi offset the steep price tag. I will say the build was very frustrating at times and i had to make 3 orders with lego to get missing parts.
Bought it at 20% discount, with two GWP and double point's. But I am totally still not entirely sure I will build it as soon as it arrives. To my eyes, I prefer something like Razor Crest since it has more "volume", more things going on. However, FOMO is a real and I pulled the trigger. Let's the effect once it arrives.
I read some leaks that UCS Razor Crest won't retire until end of 2025. So at least you still have some time to get that too if you want. That's what I'm doing. Smart move is to get the UCS AT-AT now as it's retiring at the end of 31st December this year 2024.
I managed to get 1 from Walmart the other day when they were selling it for $600. If I can sell it for a good amount shortly after retirement I will. If it's not selling, at least I own a piece of LEGO Star Wars history at a greatly discounted price.
I own this set and would rate it a 92/100. They could have added 2 more speeder bikes and a few more snow troopers but it is not a deal breaker for me. The battle packs released at the time fulfill this need. The build was great. The finished product is sturdy unlike what someone else had mentioned. The play features are very good. It is one of the best UCS Lego Star Wars sets ever made. I have the UCS Falcon, UCS Venator, UCS Slave 1, and the UCS Snow Speeder.
I did not currently have the spare funds last night, but instead, i got the ferrari daytona since i am a technic fan and have still not yet gotten it. Unfortunately, i couldn't get one of the atats but I have no regrets since i didn't really want one for my personal collection.
That At-At was out of realm for a lot of people unfortunately at that price. You are going to love that Daytona though. I built that about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it!
I missed the At At as I focused on the Eldorado fortress and Ninjago City Gardens for the insiders weekend so had to get it full retail price from Disney. I i have no regrets though since it's sold out here in EU with unofficial retailers charging 100 eur extra on the retail price already.
I would love to get it, but as of now it seems to be sold out for good (11/29/24). I haven't seen any indication they'll open the website back up for ordering, but if they do (and the sale is still going on), I'll jump on it since UCS/Helmet Star Wars is what I'm collecting.
missed the sale unfortunately, however I still have a tab open to this set and it’s status has changed from “Sold out” to “Temporarily out of stock” To make things even stranger, a search of set 75313 yields no results found…🤔
Good luck, I ordered two Monday when they came back available and just got email that my order was cancelled...not too happy right now. I didn't even mind that I missed out on the double points or the GWPs.
Yes. Still a more a risk on the investment side but if you don’t have it in your collection yet I would say it’s a buy with the insiders discount and promos.
I bought mine a few days before they announced retirement. Debated opening it for two weeks. As soon as I did I go online and see Lego is sold out and they're selling for 1100$ on Amazon 😂 starting to wish I got two at the time to sell one
Right on, cant have it all, but can appreciate these super sets. You have great taste... All I want to collect is those types of kits for a legacy collection that any kid would dream of... mostly castle
Half a month's rent for the privilege is gross. I'm sooo happy I graduated from IP markups, stickers, and design shortcuts. Unjustifiable set prices always ruin the Lego experience for me. Nice editing and narration on your video.
Spot on here. For me personally, it's just too expensive - even at a sale price. Need to draw the line somewhere. With that being said, it's a gorgeous set.
Got this at midnight release for personal collection ( mainly for the extra’s ). I knew it would get discounted later on so I tried to get rid of it to buy it back later. Never thought it would be so easy to get rid of these local ( pretty lucky on location. Bought back double digits every time they were discounted. Sold well over 40 falcons and 40 at at during that time. 2024 was not easy to buy them back knowing they were on the EOL. Managed to get 18, 10 from the insiders weekend.
I don’t get why people say it’s too expensive. It’s the best AT-AT there will ever be, yes and the price reflects that. Most of those who complain about the price will probably pay the same $$$ twice over on two dozens lesser sets and they will have nowhere near the brilliance of this UCS. Guys buy less, buy better.
This comment just doesn’t make sense to me. It is overpriced. The Lego titanic is just as impressive if not moreso, is 200 pounds cheaper and comes with 2000 more pieces, whilst also being arguably a more fun build. Do you see now why people think it’s overpriced?
I do understand what you are saying but The Star Wars UCS sets do unfortunately have those extra dollars added on just because of the IP and its popularity. You’re right though. Great set, just wish price was better.
how don’t you understand? it’s a luxury item some people aren’t in a position to spend so much on it so of course they’ll say it’s too expensive to them, it’s a perfect model i don’t think anyone will argue that
Do you have other retailers in Australia? For example in the UK we still have stock in the Disney store and Smyths. But at full price though. I'm going to wait this weekend and see if there will be another discount in either shops, as I also missed out on the Lego store deal as I was unsure to buy it or not. Big regrets, but at least now I know I want it. Even prepared to pay full price, but holding out as far as I can until another potential discount elsewhere, but once I see stock going down, I will grab it. Lesson to be had on my behalf, I should of just pulled the trigger and got it from Lego.
@Rust·Spencer·Cohle if it exists somewhere, I definitely can't find it. My only hope is lego does one last restock. It is listed as retiring soon, "temporarily out of stock" and alarmingly, unlike most other sets it doesn't have a notify when restocked option. I've stopped holding my breath.
@@LouisTheFlyVids Yeah it sucks man. Interesting that yours says "temporary out of stock" hope it comes back for you. In the UK it's completely "sold out" on our Lego store. they needed to give atleast half of the snow troopers needed to fill the seats imo
