Im sure Im in a minority, but I much prefer this updated, smoother design of what is supposed to be a tie pilot helmet. Even back when I had plenty of chances to get the Tie Pilot and the Stormtrooper, I just didn't like their design. I thought they looked goofy and too brick built, again probably in the minority on that opinion. Thankfully, that didn't last long as Lego got better with the designs over the years. I only ever picked up the Boba Fett helmet, and to this day, I don't regret not getting the other 2. I even hope they redesign the Stormtrooper helmet someday for other variants like the Shadow Trooper or Shock Trooper. My only big critique of the set is the massive stickers. I think some of it could have been brickbuilt and then include smaller stickers, primarily for the forehead section of the crest of the helm

Love that the helmets are back, not loving the $130AUD price tho. Waiting for a sale b4 I buy this bad boy, hopefully we get many many more of this line in the future at a more competitive price

Great review, and a great video from yourself as always 🔥 I missed out on the first helmets (for my own collection), but this is a must for me now I’m on board. Love the look of it, here’s to more helmets coming this year.

Great review. Congrats on getting into the LAN, and I'm sure that is a good move for you, but to be honest, I appreciate non-LAN channels these days. I don't any you trying to navigate being a Lego channel, and I'll keep watching.

I'll probably look to pick up two or three if I can snag a discounted set here or there. Also very weird to see how many people are against adding different figs and an array of natural skin tones to sets. Especially considering they already exist in hundreds of other Lego sets and skin color is absolutely not a political or "PC" statement. It's literally life. People around the world are different. Lego is an international brand. Pretty disheartening if we're being honest. Heavy hide-behind-the-keyboard-anonymity racist vibes from most of you against this. The only argument I've seen that makes any sense is that if they did it for this set they'd likely need to do it moving forward. Maybe that's true. But also, why would that even remotely be a bad thing? Just the fact that some of you have been bamboozled into believing something as basic as skin color is somehow "political" is just super, super pathetic and a very open admission that you're almost certainly a closet racist.

This set is great for a NASA/space collector with lots of nice features, although, more decals could be printed for its cost. In the UK, this retails for £190 - this is far too expensive for 1900 pieces. For comparison, The Endurance is £230 and has over 3k pieces. Concorde, a much larger set, and nearly 2100 pieces, is £170. I picked this up for £125 and that seems a fair price, to me. Also, for a more accurate and fair comparison, the Shuttle Discovery and Hubble were £170 with about 2400 pieces and, in my opinion, is one of the best builds and is my favourite set to-date.

I initially was turned off by this set with it having no black jazz players/singer. But I’m just going to use the extra heads that come in the Pharrell Williams set to replace this sets figures.

Let me guess; you only bought the pieces on pick a brick or bricklink, because otherwise you would have the printed pieces and the manual

Keeping Minifigs yellow = keeping politics out of Lego

My top: 12.- jetpack racer (I hate technology) 11.- plush toy collector (she looks crazy) 10.- astronomy kid (nice prothetic arm, but thats it) 9.- pterodactyl (useful for other minifigs, but in general simple printings) 8.- Hamster (cute design) 7.- Longboarder (excellent trousers) 6.- cat lover (nice design and detail) 5.- cupid (great wings, he is a god) 4.- boogeyman (good head and excellent book, simple printings) 3.- pirate (love pirate theme, Im happy I have a girl now too) 2.- wolfpack master (I thing this one has the best printings and designs, its technicaly the best + the cape is the best I saw and it comes with a massive wolf) 1.- stempunk inventor (its just my favourite, nice printings, love the 19-20th century)

White people are also not yellow colored. The mknifigs from the Jazz Club clearly have Afros, which suggest a Black background without changing the iconic yellow face color

For Lego Modular completeness - Yes. For FOMO - Yes. I cannot think of any reason NOT to buy if you are a Lego fan.

Objection. The moment a Modular includes a Minifig which isnt a simple Yellow (considering the early sets didnt have the facial expressions), is the moment all future Modulars are required to follow the Precedent. Leave Race and Politics out of the Modular range. If you want a different character represented, nothing is stopping the buyer of the set from changing a Minifig head and arms.

I am a new return to Lego and started maybe in 2023 to collecting again (from a kid). Because i got a few Star Wars sets, i did not realize, because they use flesh tones (light, tan, brown). But recently buying some city sets and now my first modular, i see they keep the traditional yellow (emoji color 😂) faces. But the issue is yellow in modern times does not feel like a neutral color. I get what they are trying to do, be colorless for the main lines. But yellow was obviously inspired by white people so maintaining it looks so more aligned with the natural white figures (flesh color) than darker skin flesh color figures.

Jazz club is one of my favorite modular building, the color they use is nice and it's has better layout than boutique hotel which is a hotel but not all rooms has bathrooms

This is a set on the bottom of my buy list as of right now. I’ll see how much it gets discounted. It seems like it will be a good investment but still need to research more on it. Thanks for the video.

totally against skin colors. I don't see how this building refers to black people. Yes, the history of jazz is associated with black people, but it could be a recent jazz club, with young people of all colors. And then, if so, the Parisian restaurant and the 1960 diner should have had white people right? (I'm not American, the translation may be clumsy), other than that i bought it for 160 euros in France (30 % off during christmas)

I have yet to open boxes of jazz club or museum. Other recent modulars I started assembly asap, and will do the same w the tudor once I order it. Just not so excited for those, although I think I will like the jazz club a lot after all the extensive mods I plan.

Between this and the Boutique Hotel, the latter is the better purchase for me, given it is an anniversary set, has more pieces, and has that unique shape among any other modular building. A real shame Lego is retiring 2 modulars from the same designer this year.

Hope its retirement gets pushed back to next year... retirement seasons should have max 1 modular
