THIS IS THE REVIEW I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. For those who don't have an unlimited ammo budget
take your new gun make sure it is empty remove the magazine,
now sit on your couch put on your favorite movie and start racking the slide.
Do that a few hundred times and you will have advanced your break in by a considerable amount.

    Great review, Thanx.
I checked the CC9 out on Handgun Hero against my HK P30sks and against other micro 9s. Because of my hand size, I smother skinny micro guns. They seldom lock back at the end of a mag because of my grip. I like that the CC9 grip, while thinner, is longer than most micros. A big negatory for me is that they didn't put mag release paddles on the CC9. I prefer paddles over 'The Button'.
I've arranged the customizable side and back grip plates on my P30sks for a right sided palm swell and the grip texture is as perfect as my Walther PDP. The P30sks' weight eradicates snappiness and I had it milled to accept a 6 MOA Holosun 407k red dot. It is impossible to miss within 20 yds. The P30sks also has a thumb safety, so I carry cocked and locked like a 1911 and consequently, I never shoot it double action.
I'd love to take a CC9 out for a spin, though, and see if I maul it like I do other micros.

@@strawdemindset you see, there's a reason for that price difference... One has been designed and tested for over 7 years, 750,000 rounds, passed NATO torture testing, and is using very high quality materials like a polygonal rifled barrel CHF'd from canon grade steel. The other started out as a literal sloppy rip-off of a Walther PPQ from Turkey... I would personally never trust my life to a Canik. HK, Glock, FN and S&W fill that role and I personally think the S&W is the best option if money is an issue.

The finish looks nice. I'm not sure how to really know or test it though except for just long term use. For me, I think the finish is one of the most important features on a gun. They added it on handgun hero in the last 24 hours. It's just a little larger than a P365 in every dimension except for it being the same thickness. On paper it's 0.99" compared to the P365's 1.00". It appears to have a higher bore axis... but a lot of people say that don't matter much. It still seems like a good carry gun though. It's gonna be hard to compete though with it being larger than all the others. I'd still buy one if the prices was right though.

  • @richr7215

The VP9 was my first handgun and I used it for everything. Conceal carry, home defense etc. I have over 10k rounds thru it and I've yet to have an issue. The only thing I've done to it was have it milled for an optic. When the VP9SK came out that became my primary concealed carry gun. I'd say I have about 5k rounds thru it give or take and I've had no issues with it and the only modification I made to it was getting an optic milled into it. Are they more expensive than other similar guns, yes, but in my opinion it's worth it. I haven't gotten a chance to handle one but I think the lack of side grip panels could be a deal breaker for me. The reason I like the VP9s so much is the ability to customize the grip so it fits your hand like a glove and I don't think you're going to be able to do that with this one. I hope I'm wrong and that you get great ergonomics with it.

This is a great review! The micro comparison I'd like to hear about is with the FN Reflex, and it would be nice to hear some comparison talk between the CC9 and VP9. The Reflex is my summer carry at work (electrician) and the VP9 is my "when I can hide it" carry at work because, of the guns I own, I shoot it the best. So my bottom line question is can the CC9 replace the VP9 for EDC when it comes to shootability, especially at farther distances like 20-40 yards. That's where the Reflex falls short for me due to size - not because I can't shoot it at those distances, but shooting it as accurately gets way harder than with the VP9.

Thank God, and actual review and not an ad. FN, Sako, and a lot of other brands I love do it too. Their marketing dept. must have given up and just decided to send free guns to TH-camrs. A lot of said reviews failed to compare it to any of the other massively popular micros which is what everyone wants to actually know - then they proceed to shoot 115gr (which HK's hate), the gun starts having malfunctions, then they make excuses and proceed to give it a glowing review. I get that for some guys it's just another day at work and they're using these videos to pay their bills and probably don't actually care that much, but $700 MSRP isn't nothing and people deserve transparency when it comes to these things. After all, it might save your life some day.

My VP9 has been flawless. Just based on the reviews I’ve seen on the CC9, I think the SK is a larger pistol. I’m not sure if you can run extended magazines in the CC9, but you can with the SK. Another drawback for me is the fact that this review indicated that it was “snappier” than the P365. When I was in the market for a sub-compact pistol, I shot the P365 and it was most definitely a snappy gun.
