Lefty here, been waiting for a nice reliable lefty/ambi friendly micro 9mm to come out. Def gonna pick one up once I can afford it and hopefully there will be more holster options by then also.
Story Time: In the early 2000’s I help start up an IDPA club here in the town I live in. I was running the shot timer for a shooter. He was using an Sig Sauer P229 which was considered a gold standard pistol for self defense. And I actually saw a chunk of lint choke up his firearm as he drew it. The chunk of lint lodged itself between the hammer and the firing pin down deep in there and caused a malfunction. I can’t remember if we continued the course of fire or we stopped the clock and allowed him to recover and restart, but pocket lint is a real threat especially in that critical moment when you might need your gun. I appreciate HK taking their time to introduce this gun to the market.
Great video and I was hating on this gun too. Went to a local shop that had one left today. Put it in my hands and I have to admit, so far I was wrong. I'm an HK fan boi, have been since the 80's, so I'm also in that camp of I don't need a reason to buy an HK. That being said, my first question was why this over any 0f their SK models aside from slightly slimmer width.
Alot of the reviews are stating this new HK is snappy like the original Hellcat. I wish HK would of just made a thinner P30sk with the wings on the slide and obviously the VP9 paddle mag release. But im glad HK is innovating. Hopefully they make a better version of the CC9 with more features. How about porting that barrel to make it shoot a little better
It's funny I was looking into picking up an HK USP9C like a day or 2 before this dropped and even though this would make more sense to CC everyday I'd still prefer the USP9C
I shot 100 rounds yesterday practicing and filled mags with 3 or 4 rounds tops and I had slide lock issues. I’m right hand dominant and my right thumb tends to rest on it with my grip, I’ve had to adjust my grip so my thumb rests on top of the base of my palm of the left thumb and I got slide lock. no issues with my USP, UPSc or mark23.
optics ready sub compact usp is all the consumer wanted , 5 years in development means HK second guessed the direction in development but it was too late.
Was it not technically possible to have a magazine paddle *and* a swappable trigger group? Or does H&K just like pissing people off after floating the SFP9cc for years?
Absolutely nothing. People want his for flexing reasons. Great it’s reliable. That’s a givin. It’s not 2015 guntube torture testing. We want the cool. So. No comp no light no xl no established history with quick upgrades well here we are haha
HK still staying true to themselves with the rigorous testing is well received by myself and those that are in the know. Is this gun game changing? No, but it’s still a welcome change and addition.
A DA/SA of this would be incredible. I EDC a Langdon/Gray P2000 v3. I'm glad H&K USA has FINALLY got stuff going, and I no doubt will be having this in my safe but an updated ergo p30/USP/p2000 micro, optics ready... Ooof
Ordered mine yesterday. Been waiting awhile for this one. HK CC9 will probably be the "top dog" of micro's. Have to add that this is the best overall review on this new release that I have viewed thus far. Well done.
I picked one of these up and put over 700 rounds of range ammo and over 200 rounds of carry ammo through it. Varying from 90gr to 147gr hollow points not one malfunction. I think HK put like 3/4 of million rounds through one. Wait if you like but this thing is a very capable micro 9. Accuracy is great and muzzle rise and recoil impulse is amazing for such a small gun. There’s a reason they are sold out everywhere
@rescuetree I never doubted the reliability of this firearm, felt like we got a nuttered version. Why would you change items that made people want the HK firearms in the first place. I have a plate in my hand so the slide assits really made a difference. The mag release is a massive let down for me. I don't mind waiting I have a plethora of other HK's to shoot in the meantime
Rented/Shot 50 rounds through the cc9 about 1 month ago. It definitely has more snap/ muzzle flip than my Sig or Vp 9 I was not impressed. Lot of wait for a lack luster gun.
He asked in the beginning, will HK set the new gold standard. The answer is no. They're trying to catch up by giving us a g3c clone ies meanwhile everybody else is giving us ported barrel carry pistols
I'm a huge H&K fan. That said, I really see no compelling reason to ditch my VP9SK OR for this. And I prefer the paddle release. Maybe if I didn't ALREADY have a VP9SK and a P365XL with optics, light/laser, and holsters already completely built around these to carry, but now? Not worth making the switch.
i only cared about the mp5, im not a small gun guy by any means especially for 500$ plus haha but i do really like the testing aspect as you said they were very cleaver and 3/4 of a millions rds speaks major volumes plus being the first gun to come from hkusa and its modular with more to come haha i absolutely have nothing to argue against haha after this video im actually really interested in this pistol and super excited for hks future products! love yalls content thank you!
It looks like a Taurus G3C. It does not have the dark finish that HK normally puts on their VP9 series. the one in Germany is the HK SF9 More than likely HK will bring that gun over to the US about 8 or 9 months after this release, I'll wait for that one. That's the one I wanted in the first place!

Is the VP the only HK you've shot? The CC9 looks to have the same finish that they were putting on the USP series in the 90s.
I have no idea how somebody compares an image of this gun and a Taurus and actually thinks they look identical. About the only thing they have in common is the profile, which is wildly immaterial thing in comparing firearms.
I feel like the paddle mag release would be difficult to operate if the grip is small. I can’t imagine trying to operate a paddle on say a p365 my finger would be way to long.
I love the HK USP i own and the MK23 imaa buy one day so im not a hater but this is... One of the micro compacts of all time. I dont think the vanilla p365 sells that well these days. Most guys want a bit more grip. Not to mention thisll have a HK price tag. Its a just meh guys. Id love to see a polymer framed, thinner p7 usin these mags, and longer ones of the same design. Still love u guys tho. Always glad to see Chris and James. Jake was there too lol
i love the way they tell you why they did not cut a light slot .. '' well your not going to have one '' ..is not that up to the buyer .. a slot even tauras has a slot for gods sake ..
One is a tested and finished product, the other is built by a mediocre meme company that takes military brass out to lobster dinners with $300 a glass scotch in exchange for contracts to ship off their subpar toys. I’ll let you figure out which one is which.
I’ve got a couple custom 365’s XL and Macro. I like my 365’s but only after a lot of custom trigger work and aftermarket products. I’ve put over 900 rounds of both carry and range through my CC9 and although my 365 Radian build will make tighter groups at 10 yard’s during a bill drill this CC9 is the most capable stock micro 9 I own. It’s super accurate and the recoil impulse and muzzle rise is incredibly good for such a small pistol. I’m extremely happy with it and I now carry it more than my 365’s. Just my .02
Looks like it but the shooting experience is completely different. I just came back from Texas Gun Experience and got a chance to rent a CC9. To me it’s more like an ergonomic P365X with less felt recoil if that makes sense. I thought it would have more felt recoil because of the slightly higher bore axis and how stiff the recoil spring is compared to my dad’s P365X, but you can really get your hands on the gun to control the recoil for such a tiny and thin pistol
I'm an H&K fan, but I don't see the point of this gun. The VP9SK is only .58" longer and .32" wider. Is that difference really going to make the VP9SK significantly and practically less concealable than the CC9? Saying "The VP9 is 33% wider." sounds significant, but the size in practical numbers is 1.31" wide versus .9". If that difference prevents someone from carrying a gun because 1.31" is just too burdensome, that person might need to have a heart-to-heart with themselves. Of course shoot-ability and reliability improvements matter, but the VP9SK is very shootable and reliable. I was hoping for a USP in 10mm with a picatinny rail.
Its about exactly the size of a Springfield XDS 9mm that came out in 2012, only it holds 2 extra rounds.. Like all carry guns that are using the stagger stack magazine technology.. I still have one of the original .45acp ones, it was a cool carry gun, but damn stiff recoil with .45acp.. They were on the used market everwhere when the 9mm was released a year after the .45 version came out.. Small 9mm's single stacks were just becoming popular, as the S&W Shield 9 & XDS went head to head.. I liked the XDS Better than the shield..
People really just want an updated optics ready sub compact usp

@@DocMitchell69 I dont think that this features will bring any LE to take the USP as duty gun and most people wouldnt carry a big gun like a USP. Even the USP C is quite big. What you want is just a small niche. There is no money for HK to offer this. The VP9 has a rail and is OR. I you want a DA/SA the P30 has a rail and just need a OR cut.
@@Gieszkanne Um the USPC is, other than width, smaller than a G19.
@@Leckrovov But width is was matters with cc. The CC9 isnt smaller than the VP9 SK just slimmer. And the USPc isnt smaller than the G19.
The fit and finish look impressive so far...

P2000SK for AIWB and 2000 for 4 o'clock IWB.
Tonight on 1911 Syndicate: The boys finally review a new release gun they didn't have to buy, James Williamson has appeared more times than the AZ Yeti, and H&K's new USA made pistol looks suspiciously like Taurus' USA made handgun.....
at 3-4 times the price
2x a s&w shield
@@katana258 They're like $530 and they're not a Taurus. Anybody who actually thinks this gun is somehow comparable to a Taurus in terms of things that actually matter, like fit, finish and quality are smooth-brained.
God; what a couple days difference make in weather in GA; looked perfect for filming.
Where’s the sfp9cc that I really wanted.?
Europe, barred for civilian import sales to the US by the ATF point system I believe
I'm an HK fan boi, have been since the 80's, so I'm also in that camp of I don't need a reason to buy an HK. That being said, my first question was why this over any 0f their SK models aside from slightly slimmer width.
Much easier to conceal.
Yeah I'm a HK fanboy and I'm skipping this one. I'll just carry my VP9SK instead.
Hello. Do you know which model meprolight your guest had on his CC9 ? Thx.
That's what I was wondering.
Was it not technically possible to have a magazine paddle *and* a swappable trigger group? Or does H&K just like pissing people off after floating the SFP9cc for years?
so what does this do that any other 9mm does
Absolutely nothing. People want his for flexing reasons. Great it’s reliable. That’s a givin. It’s not 2015 guntube torture testing. We want the cool. So. No comp no light no xl no established history with quick upgrades well here we are haha
Great video, lots of useful information.
HK still staying true to themselves with the rigorous testing is well received by myself and those that are in the know. Is this gun game changing? No, but it’s still a welcome change and addition.
I'm fine with the design of this, but really needs the larger mags and quick!
A DA/SA of this would be incredible. I EDC a Langdon/Gray P2000 v3. I'm glad H&K USA has FINALLY got stuff going, and I no doubt will be having this in my safe but an updated ergo p30/USP/p2000 micro, optics ready... Ooof
No paddle mag release. No sale.
Ordered mine yesterday. Been waiting awhile for this one. HK CC9 will probably be the "top dog" of micro's. Have to add that this is the best overall review on this new release that I have viewed thus far. Well done.
Not when caniks hold 17
Thank you 🤙🏻

Comments speak for itself...waiting for gen2

What are the optics they have?
You guys are always killing it. Love your videos and style. Keep em coming!
Thanks bro
@@1911syndicate kind of cherry picking the comments huh?
@@FL-Kaiman Just like you.
Rented/Shot 50 rounds through the cc9 about 1 month ago. It definitely has more snap/ muzzle flip than my Sig or Vp 9
I was not impressed. Lot of wait for a lack luster gun.
Does it hydro lock like the VP9?
Looks like a Taurus, but feels and shoots like an HK should. Definitely feels better than the 365 or G43x/48.
Is Jake right eye dominant?
He asked in the beginning, will HK set the new gold standard. The answer is no. They're trying to catch up by giving us a g3c clone ies meanwhile everybody else is giving us ported barrel carry pistols
Great video gents! Can yall post the models for the optics yall have in this video? Thanks
Does anyone else want a USP in 10mm with a pic rail and an Aimpoint Acro P2 cut?
One question on the cc9 how it’s the overseas sell? I live in ecuador and I would like to purchase one!!!? Thanks guys for the intake!!!
About 40 minutes into the video I heard mention of this thin gun still being rated for plus P plus ammo; is this able to be confirmed?
i only cared about the mp5, im not a small gun guy by any means especially for 500$ plus haha but i do really like the testing aspect as you said they were very cleaver and 3/4 of a millions rds speaks major volumes plus being the first gun to come from hkusa and its modular with more to come haha i absolutely have nothing to argue against haha after this video im actually really interested in this pistol and super excited for hks future products! love yalls content thank you!
KKM, PMM, & Herrington making comps for it as we speak 😂😂
Make one hammer fired decocker only please
The end of the video was def worth the wait
I was getting worried we didn’t have enough small polymer 9s to choose from
Love the production quality, and the pistol looks great. James is always a great guest.
You are literally the first person I've heard say that "this pistol looks great."
@@bsmithhammer If you find that distressing, that warms my soul. Literally.
@@kennethbaker5223 Aww....you love overpriced plastic pistols and you have a soul. That's adorable. 🤣
What about the mp7??
Can’t wait for the sales on these when they don’t move after 6-9 months
So far every gun shop I’ve called has sold out of their allotment.
I feel like the paddle mag release would be difficult to operate if the grip is small. I can’t imagine trying to operate a paddle on say a p365 my finger would be way to long.
My thoughts as well
I love the HK USP i own and the MK23 imaa buy one day so im not a hater but this is...
It would be a complete chad move to get a P7 cut for an optic.
i love the way they tell you why they did not cut a light slot .. '' well your not going to have one '' ..is not that up to the buyer .. a slot even tauras has a slot for gods sake ..
"With Irons, don't be a hostage." Well said.
I guess I'm late to the party since I don't own a micro compact. I'm interested in one of these.
Tag on the Hk reliability it is a nice micro gun if you’re looking to fill that role
Give one GOOD reason I should sell my Sig P365 Macro for this.
I like this but it looks too small.
Just my .02
Thats a weird looking Taurus G3C. This would have been great like 6 Years ago.
Super original comment man
G3c doesn't look good. This one looks perfect in my eyes. Too late? Lmao for whom? You getting old?
Looks like it but the shooting experience is completely different. I just came back from Texas Gun Experience and got a chance to rent a CC9. To me it’s more like an ergonomic P365X with less felt recoil if that makes sense. I thought it would have more felt recoil because of the slightly higher bore axis and how stiff the recoil spring is compared to my dad’s P365X, but you can really get your hands on the gun to control the recoil for such a tiny and thin pistol
Gx4
8 years and the mags do not load the last round .gee think some more of that maybe a few more years to work them out
I'm an H&K fan, but I don't see the point of this gun.
The difference is significant enough to matter. More of a diff than the G19 to G43X. Should check it out in person
Give it a try. You'll be surprised with how much easier it is to carry and still as capable.
VP9SK is a bit heavier as well. There definitely is a purpose for this gun imo.
Eight years and no paddle😭
It's not a German HK. It will never get paddles. HK of Germany wanted nothing to do with a micro 9.
Looks ugly
