I'll admit that while I was disappointed that the SFP9CC didn't come to the U.S. and I won't be getting a micro-9 HK with a paddle, the ambi mag release button is a great idea if it works as well as the paddle (I'm a lefty). The firearms market really doesn't know how many left handers they are leaving high and dry by not making true ambi guns. I hope they make a lot of money on this.
I’m guilty of being an HK fan and I had a knee jerk reaction to this the first day all these videos hit. My main point was that many of the HK fans did see videos of the SFP9cc, and that’s what they had their hearts set on. Also, many of the HK fans are wanting legacy features like the paddle mag release or maybe even something in this size in a da/sa arrangement. That being said, I’ve tried to take a second look at the CC9 and I really think it’s going to do well. Maybe it doesn’t satisfy what some die hard HK enthusiasts wanted, but the truth is that this will be highly competitive among the greater market of people and could honestly bring people into the brand who may not own an HK yet. I think the “Taurus vibes” remarks are a little harsh, and I just look at it as an HK answer to the P365… and that makes plenty of sense.
I just had to step outside of my initial disappointment that this wasn’t the German model. I kept considering the P365 after these several years it’s been out and still didn’t get one. Being honest with myself, I was waiting for an HK P365 and just didn’t know it 🤑

It's not as snappy as a hellcat but it's a bit more snappy than the 365x. I wouldn't compare it to the macro because that's like G19 sized compared to something that's M&P Shield sized.
@@Hoodstapizzo Hmm I couldn't really say in comparison to that particular firearm. I have shot a hellcat and p365x fairly recently and can say the hellcat was way more snappy and wobbly feeling. The 365x was very accurate and it wasn't super duper snappy. I'd say it's less snappy than something like a p30sk but the shape of it makes it feel easier to control. I noticed the same thing with the p365x.
@@Hoodstapizzo The Shield plus guns are a bit softer to most people because they're a tiny bit heavier and the grip is a bit bigger so it spreads recoil out...but oddly, the HK grip is beefier than the 365X, so it's surprising that it's snappier (but I have heard 2-3 people say that now). I'm spoiled because I have a radian on my P365X and a CR920P, and those are both super soft/flat shooting guns.
I really like the concept of this gun and I've never owned an H&k. I've heard that they're the best for some of the best. I love the idea of having a micro- 9 but I don't like sig, I have a wall therap PDP 3.5. I love my pistol. But it is a bit chunky. H&k are some of the only guns out there that can compete with Walter in my mind for quality. So I really want to get my hands on one of these and see if it's worth buying. If any of you who are reading have had a chance to put this pistol in your hand but let me know how close the size is to the Walther PDP 3.5.
I have 3 PDP's, one 5" Pro, one 3.5" F-Series and one new 4" F-Series (that i had to return to Walther because of a stripped front sight screw) You're right, they're thick as bricks. I have yet to find a model pistol that suites me like my PDP's though.
@charlesbeall2589 you're right. The PDP is my favorite EDC to date. I just think the slimmer body on the hkcc 9 might work out a bit better. I'm about to get one and see how that works.
That lineup at 3:57 has one glaring absence, and it's the Walther PPS M3 which has been rumored for years but which I believe doesn't exist. Walther seems to have completely lost their competitive instincts when it comes to the CCW market in the U.S. I don't understand it at all. The original PPS M1 actually even looks like the H&K CC9 in form factor, has a paddle and only would need a slight magazine redesign. Wth, Walther?
I wish they had kept the paddle mag release and I would prefer a no optic cut option but otherwise I love this gun. I had seen the SFP9CC and I actually thing this is a much better looking gun so I’m happy with it. Ordered mine as soon as I got to work Monday. Will wait until Xmas discount add on so I can get it 25% off.
Are there any hammer fired micro 9s out there yet? I still carry my PPS M1 because there are no other slim paddle options out there. I was hoping this would be the one, but I understand why they went with the button. At least it's ambi.
I don’t doubt these will sell but I don’t think I’ll be one of the buyers. I’ve tried all micro 9s and the Shield Plus has been perfect for me, it’s optics ready and I got a rebate earlier this year for $400.
I’ll gladly take a CC9 over a Taurus any day. Never had a failure with a HK. Have witnessed a thumb safety fall off a Taurus 709 out of the box and a model 85 with locked up action also new in box. To be fair that was during one of Taurus’s dark periods and I hear more good than bad now but seeing that first hand leaves a lasting impression
