Hey dear! 🥰 I have a small channel with high quality cooking/baking and DIY videos! I have worked hard on it and I would be really happy if you could take your time to check it out!! Thank you so much in advance I really appreciate your support!💜
Hi. Loved the video tutorial. Thank you very much. But one question. How many days in advance can this be made to be used as topper on a cake? How should it be stored if it can be made few days in advance? Thank you once again.
Perfect! I’m trying to learn some new candies to make for Easter this year. I’m going to try this. Thank you for teaching me something new! I make cooking videos too! It’s a pleasure to learn from other talented creators like you! I hope we can learn more from each other! Have a great weekend!
Hello thank you for this video. Tell me my lollipops change color they lose their transparency (opaque) for what reason. Is it due to the cold when I prepare them and place them on the cake in the box for the next day, thank you for your answer
I love your tutorials. You always have something fun and amazing. Instead of corn syrup could you use Karo syrup? Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜
Hi Lorraine, We don't get Karo syrup in the UK so I haven't tested it myself, but I've just looked it up and from what I can see it is a Light Corn Syrup, so I think it should work in exactly the same way, so it should be fine to use.
How Sophia, Yes just as Bianca said. You can find all the written instructions here: www.cakesbylynz.co.uk/index.php/2021/12/how-to-make-candy-lolly-cake-toppers/
I've just made these and waiting for them to set. But I've noticed the lollies i didnt colour are an orange colour rather than clear. How can I make clear lollipops?
I actually prefer the hand poured lollipops! Their imperfection gives them a whimsical/vintage vibe. So much fun! Btw… I love hearing the difference between American English words and British English words. What did you call your stove top? We call them burners or the stove top. 🙂
I really liked the shape of the hand poured ones too. I agree with you that they have more of a whimsical vibe. Also I called the stove top the 'hob'. I'm not sure why it's called that, but that's what we call it in the UK 🙂
This is so weird, I picked up the glucose syrup the other day, but had no clue how to use it plus I wanted to make some edible ice to top a frozen cake, and as if magic this video comes up 🤣🤣 can I crack this after it's gone hard to give me ice effect? And how long can u keep these
What good timing. I'm so glad the video was useful. You could definitely use this technique to make ice and crack it once its gone hard. Just be careful of any smaller shards as I found that once its set it can be quite sharp if you crack it if there are any points.
I have not actually tried freezing these. I would say freezing them is probably not a great idea because of the moisture in the freezer would make them go really sticky and the cold temperature may make them crack.
I have just made these and they've not come out clear. Waited until temp reached 300°. The colour is golden not clear. Why would that happen? Liquid Glucose was used. Does liq. Glucose have an expiration? Mine is clear. Or did it happen because of the 300° temp? I need to solve this.... Please advise. Thanks.

Love this tutorial. Your videos are always wonderful. Thank you for giving what else the liquid glucose is called. I use corn syrup here in the US. The lolli’s on the top will be on one of my granddaughters birthday cakes I’m making in a couple weeks. 🙂
Thank you so much. It's always hard sometimes if something isn't available where you live or is called something else, so I am so pleased the alternative was useful. These are so fun to make and I hope you're granddaughter has a lovely birthday.

How many mins did it take for the mixture to be ready on heat
Hello thank you for this video. Tell me my lollipops change color they lose their transparency (opaque) for what reason. Is it due to the cold when I prepare them and place them on the cake in the box for the next day, thank you for your answer
Marvellous! 🍭
Thank you 🍭🍭
Awesome video , thank you but we need to bring at what temperature
Hi, I'm so pleased you like it, thank you. You need to bring it to the hard crack stage which is 149°C or 300°F.
Can we use this sugar, water and glucose mixture to make a rose in a mold? By using soap mold? Is it ok?
So loving all the ideas you are sharing Liz - you are very kind🙏💝❣️
I'm so pleased you're enjoying them. Thank you so much for watching
How long do you wait for them to set? They are not getting hard

I myself have tried Karo syrup and it gives the lollipops like a yellowish hue like caramel
Hi, can I leave then on the cake in the fridge over night?
Thank you lynz!
You are so welcome. Thank you so much for watching ❤️
How far in advance can they be made? I’m thinking of doing a sugar sail?
❤how did you get your candy so clear ?
With no added color, sugar tends to be transparent.
can we add cmc powder if we dnt have liquid gloocuse
Hi what temperature 🌡you cook it at thank you.
149°C or 300°F

I followed the procedure and ingredients. I use corn syrup instead of glucose but my lollies is not drying :(
Could you draw circles on baking paper instead of using a template under a silicone mat?
Hi, Yes definitely. I would draw the circles on the back, then flip it over. That way none of the pen or pencil will transfer onto the lollies.
I'm trying to achieve the clear look but my mixture always turns yellow. What am I doing wrong?
I've tried these several times and my mixture starts turning brown before it reaches temperature any idea why?
Hi there, can somebody share the measurements in CUP? i dont have any weighing scale with me 😢
