    I didn't have a nice flat spot on the side of my instrument panel on my 07 600RR, so I stuck the indicator right in the center of the tach. A lot of people put it really far lower left on the 07-12, but I found it awkwardly away from anything you'd really be looking at.
    It doesn't block the needle, it just blocks the center of the dial. I found it refreshing having it right there.
    Thanks for the video.

    One of the simplest add ons for our bikes. I put one on within a few days of having my bike, couldn't stand not easily seeing what gear I was in. Simple insulation and programming. I put mine just left of the dash cluster, easy spot to see and or if the way.

    I'm still learning to ride, mod 1 next month. Great video, thanks for uploading. Great dynamic with your child which I hope to emulate with my daughter when she's a bit older. Nice one.

    How do you find the blue colour, does it show well enough in the daylight? Is it still working? Were you tempted to buy a handlebar bracket or is it stable enough with the double sided tapes? When you had it in learning mode you didn't need to rev it, you just had it on tickover yeah? The Healtech is expensive, so are you happy with this cheaper alternative? Just picked up my CBR600RR and as a newbie I think it will be a great help. Also do you have a link for the sliders you put on the bike? Sorry for the essay..

    • @jaudicedbrow
      @jaudicedbrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, still working as it should. The Healtech was a bit over budget, so this is more than decent for the money. It comes with proper 3M double-sided foam tape, so it's not going anywhere - no need for a bracket. The blue? If anything, it's a bit too bright actually, but you'll certainly never have problems seeing it in daylight. It would be a bit annoying if you regularly rode at night.
      Learning mode - yes, just tickover is all it takes, but you'll need a paddock stand to get the back wheel off the ground obviously - or a very long stretch of open road.
      Sliders - The front axle sliders are from www.ebay.co.uk/str/jaybeebikerbits. I also had a set of theirs in the rear axel but they fell out... twice, despite nyloc nuts and threadlock. Now I have R&G, held in with gaffer tape, like a poor man's lockwire, otherwise I suspect they would also have gone walkies. Main sliders are also R&G. Ebay is full of 'em, or see here: www.rg-racing.com/.

      @@jaudicedbrow Thanks, most helpful. Didn't want the red indicator, my bike is black n white, so I thought it would look nicer. Paddock stand, disc locks, chain brush etc all being ordered. Hence the sliders request. Thanks again, bring on the good weather!!!

    Hi did you set this up on a paddock stand? I thought the rpm had to go higher than idle speed for it to program correctly but looks like it worked fine for you? I've just bought one and have an abba stand so wondering whether to do it the same way or on the road!

    @patrikguban3173 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you know how can i restar the indicator? I somehow messed it up and it learned just 5 gears. When i shift to 6th it still shows 5th.
    Thank you

      @RG-rh9tx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reset 6 times by turning the key in off position when the digits of the indicator are between 3 and 5.

    Is the gear indicator still working with no issues??

    • @jaudicedbrow
      @jaudicedbrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, all good. Obviously a decent rider would know what gear they are in from the revs and the speed... but for a duffer like me, it's really useful, especially on track.

    Friend, could you indicate where the sliders or fairing protector are placed on this bike! CBR 600 RR, thank you

    • @jaudicedbrow
      @jaudicedbrow  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They replace one of the engine mount bolts on each side. You have to drill a hole in the side fairings to fit them.

    Hello i have this gear indicator and not work flash F, help?

    • @jaudicedbrow
      @jaudicedbrow  ปีที่แล้ว

      The indicator plugs into the bike's diagnostic port. It is possible that there is actually a fault with the bike. There was this time when mine started flashing F, and I thought there was a problem with the gear indicator. But actually, it turned out there was an unrelated electrical problem with the bike (the earth connection to the frame had come loose). So the 'F' was in fact correct.

    • @emilmilenkovski4104
      @emilmilenkovski4104 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jaudicedbrow so it is possible that there is no ground on the motor?

    • @jaudicedbrow
      @jaudicedbrow  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@emilmilenkovski4104 No, I just mean it's possible that the indicator is reading a genuine fault on the bike. What that fault is, I couldn't tell you - it could be any one of a numer of things. But... there is also the possibility that the gear indicator is faulty. You could chase this for weeks, tear the bike apart, and never find the issue. To be honest, if your bike is running okay, my advice would be to ignore it and go without the gear indicator.
