- Japan has literally thousands of instant ramen. Today we’re trying out some noodles from Tokyo’s Daiso store, where almost everything is just ¥100!!!!

Always good for a quick snack. On my travels for fun and work, I always buy a Ramen packaged in a Bowl with a lid. I can use it many times for either Ramen or
after cleaning it well I use it for milk and cereal etc.
I love ramen! I got spoiled living near a ramen restaurant growing up, so when I want to spoil myself a little, it’s what I make. Adding veggies, fish cake and soft boiled egg just makes it perfect! More styles of instant Japanese ramen are now available in my megastore. Love the variety of flavors. I like some heat, but I am no chili head. For me, it has to have good flavor along with moderate heat. I think the miso one looked the most appetizing.
I’m the same. Spicy is good if there is a good balance of flavors.

I always have instant ramen noodles in my pantry for a quick meal. I cook them in homemade low-sodium vegetable broth and add lots of fresh veggies and, usually, some tofu. I haven't, however, mastered the art of splatter-free slurping as you have, Shinichi. If I were eating ramen wearing your beautiful red puffer jacket, it would end up looking like it had dark polka dots all over the front. 😂 Love to you and Satoshi. 💙💙

We have Daiso here in Hawaii but not much food usually only snack type stuff but we definitely love instant ramen out here!
Went to HMart to see if we could find some of the Ramen you tried. Not packaged exactly the same as in Japan. Will check out Daiso here to see if they carry any Ramen. Our Daisos are pretty small compared to the ones in Japan.😢
you can usual find less popular Korean ramen brands in normal Asian grocery stores
In the UK we can get Nissin Cup Noidles but probably not the same range as Japan.

I actually drain the noodles (throw away the soup) and pack them up into individual portions and freeze them.

I guess I missed the trip where all this stuff got picked up? saw the snacks one the other day and caught the daiso one earlier. also is that the optimal way to do ramen, flavor packet in the bowl first then noodles and broth on top? may have to try that next time I get ramen from the store. some interesting sounding selections here!
Some packages say to make the soup that way and others say to add it while cooking etc. I just follow the directions on the package

Eat them here in the US a few times a year, 30 cents per pack. Maruchan is the maker, so bad for you, but after beers on a Friday night they are great !
those taste nothing like the Japanese and Korean ramen I recommend you buy some they sell shin ramen at Walmart now
I’ve noticed that serving instant ramen at casual dining places is fair game and pretty common in Asia, with HK, Indonesia & Korea being notable examples.
Are there any places in Japan that do the same?

I was kinda sad he didn’t like the Jin Ramen more. That’s one of my faves and would give it more of an 8/10.

Is there halal food for looking up Hokkaido. Last time Kyoto and Tokyo I have guidance. She(Kyoto) and he(Tokyo) visit me at halal one. Problem if I'm travel alone that I can't eat wrong one.
Yep I do but the cup of noodles chicken flavor the other ramen is to salty for me
Just eating a bowl of Koreno spicy ramen noodle while watching this. A bit disappointed too cause i add the right amount of water but it kind of plain and not spicy overall

Shinichi I have a question and I hope I am not being rude. I see people eating ramen and other noodles with a wonderful slurping action. It almost looks like you are swallowing without chewing. I do the thing where I fill my mouth but have to bite off the rest of the noodles which I KNOW is very American. I'm trying to figure out this slurping technique.
Oh yes I love instant ramen. I make a breakfast ramen with Chicken Ramen, Two soft boiled eggs, thin SPAM slices and chopped scallions.

Ate tons of instant noodles, until I looked at the amount of fat in each.
i try to avoid instant noodles as they have a very low nutrition value and should always be combined with food like vegtables and protein
