Run Cal, RUN! You don’t need this guy. I’ve never disliked a Retropower video before, but like others, I can’t see what this person brings to the party, other than his own profit margin.
I get the feeling Cal thinks Simple Simon is much of a bell end as I do. I do wonder why RP chose to get involved with this joker - despite the way he talks of the process, he designed, engineered or built nothing. Absolutely no need for Redux to exist other than to feed one mans ego. If you are fortunate enough to be able to commission a build like this it would be sensible just to go straight to RP. Simon adds absolutely nothing. Awkward.
Redux is branding, its almost the complete opposite to Singer. It essentially trades on the idea of Singer's Imagined concept but without the direct engineering or evolutionary creativity
Really common business practice. For example, Red Bull doesn’t make, bottle or distribute their product, they are just a marketing company that outsources everything else.
@@lanceboyle4255 But in fairness to Red Bull. They did invent the stuff. This is just 1 mans hobby. Whereas Singer (Rob Dickinson) did his own car first then people asked him to make them one. Well this is the first video on here that I feel the need to criticise. I found the whole video very boring, self indulgent and with a lot of smoke being blown up certain passageways. I have been a petrol head, rally car builder, restorer and professional Tech most of my life so to make me almost switch off takes some doing. But I did stick it out. The 'arty crafty' camera work was irrelevant and the deliberate use of out of focus or out of frame shots is exceedingly pretentious. I mean why? I am pretty sure those same wealthy people will, when they get wind of who is actually doing the work, bypass Mr Lord / Redux and employ Retropower direct and I am sure Retropower will be more than happy to sell to them. Wealthy people and competitive businesses have no loyalty and neither should they. I am afraid I have little sympathy for Mr Lord who, as he said, has not invested in people and equipment the way Retropower has. @@WickedTRX Agreed. This has a ridiculous £333000 price tag attached plus a £40k+ donor car. The best thing is at least they dropped those awful design cues that were on the old website, like the E46M3 side vents etc.
Agree
Getting arse-plugged by adverts. Woke ones. The Virgin Atlantic one is beyond

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmh. Only if you like BMW
Feck me I lasted 20mins. Callum should have just given him a swift kick in the swingers and said if you want us to create a commissioned masterpiece just put your money on the table and leave us experts to it.
Lord Redux is obviously a weapons grade, 72 month air dried purveyor of the most boring monotone bollox I’ve ever heard. Even by Rupert standards, he raises the bar. I say this as ex-Army, who just happens to have got my hands dirty by twirling a few spanners to create a one-off chariot to escape SWMBO
who cares about this guy's crappy bmw history? not me
From my perspective……🙄😂
A bIt too much ideology at the start here.. show me the details guys…
The car looks incredible, like a finished piece rather than a stock E30 with a load of bits hacked on to make it more suitable for motorsport as the stock ones do.
Don't get the hate for the Redux guy either, he had a vision of a product, managed to market/sell it then went to people who know what they're doing to build it. Seems like a fairly standard business idea progression to me.
I'm ex military, and would never go on about what I've done, where I've been, it's a no no. This guy though, I can take a stab at what he did, and it's not impressing anyone but himself. Couldn't watch video for long, sorry, not for me.
Thank the gentleman for his service to his country!! And don't forget to welcome him home...
Why?
Opfhhhhh!!
What a cop out get back to the REAL cars you are working on which is why we follow you.
Retropower is their business, not yours, you make no contribution to the company, whatever, so there's no reason for them to take your arrogant demand seriously. You use the word "we", you do not speak for anyone here so perhaps edit the wording of your comment to "I".
@@nickturner2813 nope it's my opinion you don't like it too bad, if they don't like my comment it's fine everyone has their opinion and you have just expressed yours.
As for the 'WE' I am sure I am not the only one with that opinion, but WE will never know.
You have no idea what I contribute to that company and neither do they.
Sunroof 🤮
Hand waving ? VIDEO !!!
