Two cars for me.. The Kimera EVO37 and the GMA T.33.. One has Rally genes distilled dowb to a road car, the other has F1 genes to distilled down to a road car (everyone wants the T.50 Fancar, but the lower tier T.33 fits my aesthetic better)..
Ok and? He still is a good presenter and makes his Videos entertaining. What he does in his free time shouldn’t matter at all and if he’s not harming you with what he’s doing it should be not of your concern.
The car was impressive, but everything else about this video was equally impressive. The cinematography is excellent and stood out even more than your typical high quality videos.
I found the crossover from the Supercharger to Turbocharger volumetric curve optimisation (on this map at 4,200rpm) absolutely fascinating. - I’m sure one of the problems that this company suffers regularly is Ferrari F1 trying to poach their engineers!! 😊👌”fantastico” …

This literally brought a tear to my eye. As a young lad I watch Group B rallies over and over and again on vhs. It was like a drug , I couldn't even blink in case I missed a split second of the action. The sound of the 037 was just skin tingling insanity. The fact these guys have brought back my childhood memories in the dedicated way they have is emotional for me. I just wished I could hug them or at least shake their hands. Thanks Kimera team and thanks Henry. Words can't describe this feeling, nothing holds a candle to 1980's Motorsport. Lost forever now but never ever forgotten.

I wish to make three points: First, bravo Henry, you are without a doubt one of the very best at what you do both in the content and the cinematography. Second, OMG what a jaw droppingly exquisite car! And in the Martini livery at the end…. absolutely epic! Third, very impressed with the Italian dude’s beard 😀
It also shows you don't need a huge engine to give more than enough power. 2.2l twin charged engine is and absolute monster. There is a reason that v12/v10(and soon v8s) are gonna die. They where perfect before the modern tech made a smaller boosted engine more efficient and more powerful. The engine in the Gr yaris is a prime example. A crazy powerful turbo 3 cylinder that has as much grunt as a NA v8 from not so long ago while burning 1/2 the fuel.
@@PosyaKisa true. Tbf f1 started with tiny engines(by racing standards) 1.5l NA engines. Then Enzo came along with his 'there no replacement for displacement' mentality. Its clearly not true because all of the most powerfully engines ever in f1 have been 2l or below and forced induction. The 2l BMW could hit 1000hp(1350 if some stories are to believed) and a 2020 hybrid engine can hit 1000hp and run for 2500+ miles at 65% thermal efficiency and doing 6mpg.
This has got to be one of the sexiest cars ever built. Right I there with the f40. I’m a sucker for late 80s and early 90s styling and this is a winner. They power train in this also would be an absolute blast to drive. A complete edge of your seat drive through and through.
Maybe it's a sign of the times that I look at this thing and think "Half a million? What a bargain!". When I look around at the sea of mundane automated supercars chasing pointless performance numbers at the expense of the experience it's cars like this and the things coming out of GMA which haven't forgotten where the joy of driving really stems from that keep my enthusiast flame lit.
The impressive cars aside...look at the garage !!! I just love the simple, tasteful, subtle (not flashy and crazy lightings and flooring!).... just simply stylish with substance.
This car is insanely beautiful, that last one at the end is especially epic, I know I will never get to drive one but I am glad someone is making them!

I'm a huge Lancia fan, and the 037 one of my childhood icons. I would have this quicker than I would food to eat! The Martini 7 version, or their test car, even more!
I don't have the vocabulary to express my feelings about this car, and the quality of the production from Henry and the crew. My jaw literally dropped when he rolled out the martini livery 037. Just speechless.

Love watching Hagerty TH-cam channel. Group B was the ultimate rally racing. I loved watching them. Those boys were the best drivers in the world, driving at incredible speeds and having to traverse the course with people all over the place, it was crazy madness in automobiles. It was fantastic. Wish they would bring it back.

Kimera EVO037, MAT Stratos and RUF CTR Anniversary are possibly the most beautiful cars today and curiously both pay homage to cars from more than 30 years ago. Has the pinnacle of design been reached a long time ago?
Really nicely done. The car is gorgeous, the video is beautifully shot and edited, and Luca's goatee having winglets for downforce...amazing! That car, in that color, in that landscape is probably the most desirable automobile combo I've ever seen.
Thank you Hagerty and Henry. This is a great car with a wonderful competition back catalogue (very well done Mr Betti and your partners). Hopefully Stellantis will resuscitate Lancia properly (Mr Carlos Tavares, you are needed in Italy!). There is also an massive message here for the firms still producing vanity sized cars: (a) if you are not under or close to 1000kg (take a bow Alpine, Gordon Murray and the better 964 custom jobs), then go back to school ASAP. (b) do you really think that a warmed up people carrier will ever be a classic car ? When a Lotus, Porsche or Ferrari weighs as much as a fully kitted XJ6 then something is very, very wrong.
If there is a god, I humbly thank him for Lancia people (designers, engineers) to be born. Generations later, their creations are still fascinating people like the restomod guy, Henry and even me.

When I saw the Martini version of the EVO37, I actually cried. It is a perfect successor to the Lancia 037. I think it just replaced the Delta as the ultimate dream car.
I have a lot of time for these classic restomods. So much more interesting, and pertinent in today's driving environment, than a new supercar. Hurrah ! ❤
