I like to have built rifles in wildcat cartridges then for a time I was considering building a rifle on the 338 - 505 Gibbs. Neck down the 505 Gibbs to 338 would be wild in velocities. The problem was to find the rifle action for the 505 Gibbs was going for around $5000 + There is no shortage of US custom action builders just the cost of the Mauser type action for a 505 Gibbs is so much I gave up on the idea of a 338-505 Gibbs
That guy is a damn good shot and handles brutal recoil quite well. Very impressive, especially the 505 Gibbs.
Thank you very much 🙏
What did his shoulder look like after that?
@@robertslegers257 it’s wasn’t bad at all. If you press the rifle hard enough into your shoulder you wo t have any bruises
Handles it similar to how a revolver is handled. Gotta gently pull up and then lower.
The 505 GIBBS DEMANDS RESPECT.
The most ethical cartridge for jack rabbits.
It’s like I would feels the power by myself! Crazy Calibers!🤩
What was the scope on the .416
The .500Jeff shoots a bigger bullet (.510") @ 2350-2400 fps at higher velocity than the .505 Gibbs that shoots a .505" bullet @ around 2150 fps.
500 Jeffrey yes sir
