Wow. Concidering you recieve the same force to your sholder as it takes to go trough those boards, I am pretty stunned. A full blow with a normal constructionhamer will only make a dent in a board like that. Or when you try to stab it with all you got with the best knife you can find, I would be surprised if you make it through 2 boards. Yet this leadspout blows a hole in half a forest. I must give it to you Scott. No way I could handle that force. My collar bone shatters, and my shoulder ball pops out of its socket even thinking about it.

Scott what about setting up ballistic gel behind the pine board box and seeing if you can fill catch the brass rounds? Maybe the pine will slow it down just enough

How about a comparison video between the 375 H&H & The 416 Rigby, Ruger or Rem Mag?

So it's time for a collab with someone with some welding skills. Make another pineboard box, but have the outside be made out of some plate steel. Leave each end open, and one side. Having it almost fully enclosed will help keep the bullet stable running through the box. Use tabs instead of full support across the top and the bottom of board, which will minimize chances of ricochet. I had one similar when i was younger for plinking and goofing around

Flat nose bullets penetrate with more stability and run straighter once they start penetrating. 458 Lott is rad and penetrates well. So does the 500 Nitro Express rifle with flat head brass solid bullets. As evidenced by your pine board box test.
