  • Amelogenesis or enamel formation starts at the bell stage of tooth development and is composed of three main functional stages. Namely the presectetory, secretory and the maturation stages. Each of these stages is further divided into substages. The presecretory stage is divided in to the morphogenetic and differentiation phase. Secretory stage is divided into initial secretory, secretory and final secretory phases. Maturation stage is also divided into two other phases called the transitional phase and the maturation proper phase.

It’s nicely explained with all the diagrams. Only thing is too fast. If you keep it original it would be very good video. Thankyou for sharing your knowledge.

In the proper maturation phase the water and the organic material of the enamel matrix is replaced by inorganic material and this process is accomplished by the process called modulation
there will be cyclic changes in the shape of ameloblasts rough ended and smooth ended
rough ended ameloblast will secrete some protenazez to degenerate the enamel proteins these degenerated protein will mostly be diffused by the leaky junctions of smooth ended ameloblasts or engulfed by rough ended ameloblasts
The rough ended ameloblasts will secrete Ca ions to alkaline the ph and will initiate mineralization
