Swap Case on Dell Optiplex 3020 - Front i/o Cable and Power Button Failure; Solution+Connection 2/2

Hello everyone,
in this Video i am going to show you how to get rid of the Front i/o Cable Failure during the boot process of a Dell Optiplex 3020 after moving it into a new case.
It is a very simple solution. All you need are scissors and the willingness to sacrifice your old cables from the original case it shipped in.

how do you handle the Audio front panel in a new case that uses a USB 3.0, do you just use a USB 2 to USB 3 connector?

i fixed the front i/o error by looking at the usb i was putting into the green socket..theres an extra black earth wire on the dell one..so i just jumped a wire in my usb plug ..the one above the blank hole over to the earth wire to its left.. just used a piece of wire and it works..i also now have the usb ontop of the pc working

The front audio doesn't work for me. I changed the pc case.

Hi, do you have the pin map of front audio connector ?

I just did a continuity test because I had the same question, turns out the wiring is the same as the standard HD Audio connector EXCEPT pin 7 (the one under the blank) needs to be grounded out to pins 2&4 (Presence and Ground, on my Lian Li case these were already together but not sure if all are the same). I just used a scrap wire and jumped 7 to 2/4 and it works perfectly. Hope that helps!
