Best perseverance moment for me was after breaking my spinal cord I had to get strong enough to re-learn how to walk, starting with a walker and then moving to a cane, and many other things. After finally being able to walk unassisted the next HUGE thing I had to persevere through was the dreaded depression! I lost the ability to do so many things in life due to being partially paralyzed, but over time and with the help of an amazing and loving wife and getting into woodworking, I'm 100% over my bought of depression. Stay strong friends and always look for the silver lining because life truly is beautiful and worth living, even if the days seem dark.

I'm still not giving up, i was diagnosed with Chronic fatigue syndrome, Anxiety and depression a few years ago, my health slowly gets worse but i still try my best to accomplish something significant each day. Anyone who reads this remember that struggling is only a small part of life and if you share and speak you will never struggle alone.

Was told I would never be able to play american football again as a sophomore in high school, due to a gruesome ankle/leg injury. I broke my ankle in 4 places including the growth plate, had 3 fractures as well, and a break on my fibula and tibia. I received 4 screws and 3 plates in my leg/ankle. Spent hours upon hours rehabbing myself over the next year, and managed to come back as a junior. I ended up winning all conferences honors as a linebacker that season. No matter what anyone says never give up on what makes you happy you'd be surprised at what you can do.
These videos are like a reverse AMSR, where there’s nothing, nothing, nothing, then BOOM, someone sinks it and it’s so amazing. Good work everyone with HR!
I was homeless for a year and a half. Couldn't keep a job, but i kept trying until eventually I got an opportunity at a local business and the owner even got me a place to stay. If it wasnt for him 2 years ago now, id still be homless. Never give up, youll make it eventually.
The best story about overcoming something for me is still something I am consistently overcoming every single day. From a young age, I experienced the death of my father, physical abuse from a step-father, cheating girlfriends, the death of my best friend, and physical body harm (not self inflicted). I am currently undergoing mental health assessments and getting help from friends and family, who endlessly help me through these times. The overcoming I have done, involves not taking my own life and doing my absolute best to help others who are struggling to overcome their own issues.
Senior year of high school I tore the ligaments in my right knee playing (American) Football. Was told I would never walk right and i would always have a limp. Docs also said I would never get to continue the family tradition of serving in the military. I never let the doctors tell me what I couldn’t do. After 2 years of working on it, I managed to keep pushing and was able to joined the US Army. Its been four years since I joined and I continue to never give up and I never will. On my first overseas tour I found the HR Family on TH-cam and haven’t missed a video yet. Im sure this will just get lost in the messages but thats ok. #44clubforlife
Yes, an ACL rupture usually counts you out of most armies, even the french foreign legion will pull you up in the physical for that. US army is quite flexible to its own rules so there is often a way around it. I had a severe knee injury when 18 but it is still an absolute terror. Though, i needed 5 operations in the end and it healed a little less well each time. Some things like colour blindness blocking you from being a pilot aren't true though.
As much as I'm sure these vids like this are more of a pain for you guys, I sure do enjoy seeing these types of videos trickling back in. I do enjoy the videos at the tower, but miss a lot of this kind of stuff too. Always good to see it.
@Mr. David As far as I'm aware the dimples only help with aerodynamics, air passes over it more smoothly. A golf club can definitely put spin on the ball however.
Theoretically yes it is possible to alter the design of the slingshot so that it is pulled back in two vectors via some sort of bar that it is slightly bent behind- although this will also greatly affect the distance so it would be difficult to find that balance.

MY MOST AMAZING NEVER GIVE UP STORY - I met the woman of my dreams and started dating and after a few years we got engaged and a few more years we got married. As I got older I wanted more from life so we decided to have a baby. We found out we were having a baby girl. The time came and we went to the hospital. Sadly we had complications and a 12 hour labour. My wife tired and there was nothing I could do. The nurse told us if the baby does not come in the next attempt my wife would need to be rushed to surgery cause of the strain of her body and wasn’t looking good for the baby. She never gave up and all of a sudden there was a head followed by a body. She never gave up on our baby but it wasn’t over. The baby wasn’t breathing fully and all the nurses did everything to help. They never gave up. Stood by my babies side holding her tiny hand willing, praying she is ok. I never gave up. Then some kind of miracle she started to cry, breath, eyes wide open. She never gave up. I held her for the first time and took her to my wife. Together not one person that day gave up. This month Emily is going to be a fit healthy 5 year old girl. Something could have changed that day but someone somewhere say what we’re had to endure and they gave us a chance. I hope you find it in you hearts to read my story and would love you to pick this as your story for the competition. Even if you don’t I hope you read this and take any love or message away from it and finally guys. In this current lock down climate...... never give up. Peace brothers keep it up
My never give up story starts in 2016, I had decided I wanted to join the us military but I had been diagnosed with adhd. Some of you may know this will be an instant disqualification but I sought out a professional and had my diagnosis changed and reported this to my recruiter. This then sparked years of back and forth between his higher ups and I to get the paperwork they asked for some of the places they wanted paperwork from didn’t exist anymore ,it was a struggle. Mind you even after getting all this paperwork they could still deny me but I didn’t quit 3 years later February 26, 2019 I shipped out to Lackland afb to begin my training for the United States Air Force. Since then I’ve served a full year and are stationed in Okinawa japan and now living out 2 dreams, to serve my country and visit one of my dream locations explore and I wouldn’t change it for the world!

After 2 years of working on it, I managed to keep pushing and was able to joined the US Army. Its been four years since I joined and I continue to never give up and I never will.
On my first overseas tour I found the HR Family on TH-cam and haven’t missed a video yet.

Yes, an ACL rupture usually counts you out of most armies, even the french foreign legion will pull you up in the physical for that. US army is quite flexible to its own rules so there is often a way around it. I had a severe knee injury when 18 but it is still an absolute terror. Though, i needed 5 operations in the end and it healed a little less well each time.
Some things like colour blindness blocking you from being a pilot aren't true though.

@Mr. David As far as I'm aware the dimples only help with aerodynamics, air passes over it more smoothly. A golf club can definitely put spin on the ball however.
Theoretically yes it is possible to alter the design of the slingshot so that it is pulled back in two vectors via some sort of bar that it is slightly bent behind- although this will also greatly affect the distance so it would be difficult to find that balance.

MY MOST AMAZING NEVER GIVE UP STORY - I met the woman of my dreams and started dating and after a few years we got engaged and a few more years we got married. As I got older I wanted more from life so we decided to have a baby. We found out we were having a baby girl. The time came and we went to the hospital. Sadly we had complications and a 12 hour labour. My wife tired and there was nothing I could do. The nurse told us if the baby does not come in the next attempt my wife would need to be rushed to surgery cause of the strain of her body and wasn’t looking good for the baby. She never gave up and all of a sudden there was a head followed by a body. She never gave up on our baby but it wasn’t over. The baby wasn’t breathing fully and all the nurses did everything to help. They never gave up. Stood by my babies side holding her tiny hand willing, praying she is ok. I never gave up. Then some kind of miracle she started to cry, breath, eyes wide open. She never gave up. I held her for the first time and took her to my wife. Together not one person that day gave up. This month Emily is going to be a fit healthy 5 year old girl. Something could have changed that day but someone somewhere say what we’re had to endure and they gave us a chance. I hope you find it in you hearts to read my story and would love you to pick this as your story for the competition. Even if you don’t I hope you read this and take any love or message away from it and finally guys. In this current lock down climate...... never give up. Peace brothers keep it up
My never give up story starts in 2016, I had decided I wanted to join the us military but I had been diagnosed with adhd. Some of you may know this will be an instant disqualification but I sought out a professional and had my diagnosis changed and reported this to my recruiter. This then sparked years of back and forth between his higher ups and I to get the paperwork they asked for some of the places they wanted paperwork from didn’t exist anymore ,it was a struggle. Mind you even after getting all this paperwork they could still deny me but I didn’t quit 3 years later February 26, 2019 I shipped out to Lackland afb to begin my training for the United States Air Force. Since then I’ve served a full year and are stationed in Okinawa japan and now living out 2 dreams, to serve my country and visit one of my dream locations explore and I wouldn’t change it for the world!
