Fridays are always better with Tony and the guys, best way to transition in to the weekend.
Hell yea man, thanks for watching! We’re having a blast over here!
Or transition to a woman
You said transition😂
@maruiacancerc I seen your post on @pole barn garage ...I hope it's not a bot or spammer but I hope you get better wish you the best of luck
@@jamesduhon8252this is a fake account!!
I hated seeing you leave HRG but this channel is way better! Love this project. I daily drive a Syclone, wait until you launch it on a wet road, it's mind blowing.
Let it rain, can’t wait to try!
Videos, or it didn't happen... 🤣
🍻
Lucky and Tony had a chemistry when they worked together, but I know what you’re saying.
Give it time and Lucky will be here...
Let me borrow your Syclone I definitely won’t wreck it
I like how Tony let's his crew talk and make meaningful contributions. His channel, he's clearly the boss, but he does it right. Seems like a cool dude. Keep up the good work fellas.
Nah.
If you're going to have a working unit you have to
I own a 86 Grand National and have always been a huge fan of the Cyclone and Typhoon. Love what you guys have created with this and it blows my mind you did it all for just over $5,000! Nicely done fellas!
That thing for $6000 is a beast. Can’t wait to see what you guys do with this thing. More with this PLEASE!!!
cant imagine what a new owner thought back in the early 90s leaving the lot with a syclone. Amazing project , love it !
I bet a lot of them were thinking "I just broke the speed limit" within about 50 feet of the dealer ;)
Right?! It must have been like driving a space ship in 1991!
They were probably thinking . .
"" There's no way I'll be able to justify buying this truck to my wife & I'm gonna be spending the remainder of my short married life, on the couch, ""
I bet their butt pucker factor was really high the first time they got on it. I had the fortunate opportunity to ride in one about a year after they came out and even after driving and riding in faster cars that truck is still one of my favorite ride alongs I've ever been on.
@@Adam-nv9zoSo cool. Thx4 sharing.
As a former 3time Typhoon and 1time Syclone owner...great job! You can easily get that last 1 sec reduction with the patented SyTy "holeshot method". Pull up to your starting line and push the brakes hard as you can. Hold pedal. Click into neutral while holding brake pedal still. Blip the throttle while pushing the brakes even further (this requires proper vacuum and brake actuation btw). You will feel the pedal drop further. Click back into drive while STILL holding the brakes. Stand on the gogo pedal and feel the truck HOLD on the line, twist and shout. You will note the RPMs WAY up compared to idle launch. The truck will now be on the edge of rippin shiete. Stomp to the floor whilst releasing the brake. Your head WILL snap back and smiles will nearly make you piss yourself. You will EASILY see 4sec 0-60s. You're welcome!
The drive at the end is priceless. Gave me the feels, big time. That genuine satisfaction of a successful build. Love it.
I love your channel. I hardly ever comment on TH-cam videos but the passion you put into your projects (that normal people can actually afford) really comes across. I can imagine the amount of work you put into making all of it happen. From all of us to you guys - keep doing what you do. You’re one of the only REAL car channels on TH-cam. A big fan from the UK - (who drives a Jeep XJ 😉 )
Thanks so much for support, appreciate it! Xj's are some of my favorite small trucks!
Yesss XJ’s FTW! Thanks for watching man!
Relate to the comment a lot, I normally am not compelled to comment but this channel is great vibes and am loving the content
This is the truck ever
BEST! Thanks! I love this thing!
Out of all the trucks that ever, this is one of them.
This is definitely the everest truck ever.
Truck is so bad ass it blew away proper grammer....who cares wr know what you meant 😉👍
If I was to ever, this would be the truck.
MAD respect to you and your guys , no crazy shop , no huge dollar builds . And the amazing cars you crank out is fabulous, keep up the great work !! . Cheers 🇨🇦
The Stay tuned boys have knocked it out of the park again with this one. The smiles on the test drive here is what we're all really chasing with our project cars.
And I feel like i'm with my friends when I watch.
This truck build is the definition of hot-rodding! I love it, great job guys! Can't wait to see more of it
This is one of the most wildly entertaining builds I've seen. I can't even wait to see where this goes!
Thanks so much for watching, this is a fun one for sure!
100% this! Favorite Stay Tuned build for sure!
I love how this is turning out. I’m literally sitting in my bed smiling, and as pumped as you guys are. And I’m not even driving it. Lol
Gas blowing out of the exhaust, calling out for a google makes this the best channel period. Keep on keeping it real guys
For me it is the Sick-clone right now, what an awesome build! The sound, the launch, the AWD, the trans controller, the blow through carb, the cheap turbo, everything just is just so good and everything works. Love it! Thanks for the video.
Hands down one of the trucks of all time
agree. definitely the truck ever built
TA I've always been amazed by your meticulous explanations of how things work, since the HRG days with Lucky. Every time you give a breakdown I rewind at least a half dozen times. Thanks for the excellent content.
This project speaks to my soul! I'm so glad its turning out so well!
Hell yea, thanks for watching!
I love the enthusiasm. Really shows how much enjoyment you can get from doing something you love with your buddies
This is one of the coolest builds. Bang for buck. Smiles for miles. Makes all the right sounds. Just a cool fun truck.
Congrats guys. This is awesome. Maybe a higher converter, nothing nuts say an extra 500 rpm, to help spool the turbo if you need it. Also an intercooler for when you double the boost. 🤘
I would go with at least a 2500 in it
You guys make work look like fun! Wish I was close, I’d stop by with snacks!
We are having a blast making this stuff!
@@StayTunedTAI like the houseplant you guys got going by the window!
The banter in this episode is absolutely hilarious. Love seeing the crew so fired up on the test drive too
The no oil pressure gauge explanation was so fucking spot on! Hold my beer and watch this, We sending it to the moon regardless!
The genuine happiness from the guys driving this is great its contagious 😂
Such a straight up honest automotive channel fellas! Youre gonna go a long way with such quality content like this 🤙🏼
Great video. Ya'll put so much work into this it's insane!
It was a thrash for sure, but it was worth every minute!
3 out of 4 is way better than 1 out of 2. Way to go guys. Really looking forward every week for the notification with this content you guys put out.
I felt like I was right there with you. The rear facing shot, watching the terrain go by and the look on your faces was awesome. Good work, very entertaining.
Absolutely love this build, great work guys it's a fun build. Can tell you guys are having a blast!
Syclone ran 14psi stock, with an intercooler. You guys are going to blow it out of the water when you turn it up.
Lack of an intercooler might be a problem with that
Im glad you got your own thing going dude. I enjoyed you on the hot rod channel but super stoked you have your own deal going on and its going great! This peoject was awesome look forward to whats next.
I was passed by a Syclone driving through Washington State back in the day and it was my primary inspiration to V8 Swap my all-show no go 88 S10 over the 1993/94 winter. I was never passed by another Syclone again, or a Vette, or a Chevelle, or a Camaro. My 3.73 Geared, 700R4, 355 SBC powered mini truck was a monster. I miss being young.
When Barb smacked that crossmember right next to Zach's head lmao. "thank you for that, I loved that" 😆😆😆
Love this stuff!! You're gonna start a whole new craze of Cyclone builds!! Great job!!
Damn, that is an awesome pickup. You guys never cease to amaze me.
Always fun to hang w/yall on a FRIDAY!!🎉🎉🎉
I can’t wait to see this thing tuned on the rollers!! It’s obviously making good power.
HAHAH oil pressure gauge, "don't ask, don't tell!" LOVE IT!
Absolutely love this channel, definitely enjoy how much of the building process you show. We can see all the work that goes into the builds. And you build sick cars on a budget so it’s a bit more relatable to the average car guy.
Hello Hello from Canada!!! This is by far one of the coolest fun builds you guys have ever done since I started watching your channel. It does not need to be perfect from the start, but for what you guys have done to it and the money you've spent, its a real little beast with so much future potential. Hell an eBay turbo and junkyard parts with no tuning has got you here, so I can't wait to see what you do with it next. Awesome fun to watch guys!! 🤘😁👍
Man with the insta and Facebook posts I never have looked forward to Friday more!!!
You and your crew's enthusiasm is infectious.
This is my favorite Stay Tune build yet. Can't wait for tuning and paint. I know you'll do it right.
Thanks for sharing y'all's talents and adventures, brother!!!
A million people will build this now. Thanks Tony and Team.
Loved this build, man! And the best is to see how stoked you guys are for how good it turned out! Awesome job guys, keep it going! Greetings from Germany
That truck is killer, I love it! This channel is easily becoming one of my favourite channels for automotive content. Keep up the great work!
I LOVE THIS TRUCK! What an awesome build! The pure joy from everyone riding it is something else!
I think this was yur best episode yet boys! So much fun and entertainment in one episode! I was grinning ear to ear right along with you guys when you took her out for her maiden rip! LOVE this build! 💪👍👍
Im loving this build. It’s always been cool watching you because you build cars that are achievable for normal people.
Love this channel! You guys make me want to crack a beer and start wrenching on my cars!
This series was the coolest so far. I LOVE IT! Totally takes me back to my youth. The original came out right when I was getting my license. Every kid my age wanted one. Keep them coming!
Love the video and the sole clone!!! I’ve been wanting to build one of these for years. Proud of y’all for not melting the pistons out of the 4.3 on it’s first outing!! Can’t wait to see more content on this unit
Love this build right now! I have been looking for just a regular cab 2WD S-10 with a manual. Pretty hard find these days. I just want a little cruiser with a 2-4 drop on IROC wheels.
Just find an automatic, and toss a T-56 in it. There's plenty of automatics to be had out there yet.
The factory manual trans that came in those trucks was a weak suck anyway.
Good ol' irocs!
Clock your torsion bar differently on the hex (stock or new one to get perfect) and the the front end will go down real low and you know all about lowering rear springs
Doesn’t need Drop spindles on the front?
@@deadlegintheface568 only if you want to keep the shocks you’ve got on it and leaving the stock spindles you lose travel. Drop spindles are the better way to go but you’re definitely not doing it on a budget at that point and that’s the whole point of his truck and I don’t think he really cares about stock ride feel
@@600wheel drop spindles used to be 269$ ......really don't think they aren't that expensive at all.
I have 2 sets of drop spindles on old square s10s and a set of drop spindles on a 2001 2wd blazer xtreme that has the same 3 bolt hub assembly.
@@ryurc3033 changing the adjustment on your torsion bars is free. I never said they were expensive I’m saying this truck is built as being budget friendly free is better than 269 and since Covid and everything doubled in price I’ll bet you they’re closer to 400 now but it doesn’t matter free is free
The rear springs have way too much arch from the old lift kit. Stock springs are nearly flat.
Furkin’ love it! You have taken a dream of mine for years and made it reality! Thank you for all of your hard work!
Your excitement is contagious. BADASS!
I have a real nice rust free 87 Ranger XLT if ya wanna build a cheap mini Lightning. Ur channel rocks. Dirt cheap and fast. Love the 70s Firebird too!
Yes. Just wanna say that I second the motion of building this dude's Ranger into a mini Lightning
They'd just want to put an LS in it... A late model Ecoboost 3.5 swap would be nice and eat this S-10 alive!
It turned out awesome. The grins on everyone's faces are really telling. Looked like a fun project and the budget makes it attainable for most people. Can't wait to see what it's like after some tuning.
Cool build! I was a senior in High School when the GMC Syclone was released to the public. There were a few of them that ran around our city. I thought they were the coolest thing on the road back then. Nice Job, Tony and crew!
Tony - really enjoying these videos and hearing you explain the technical aspects of how all the systems work. Thanks to you and the team for all your hard work!
I am glad you are getting so much joy out of this build. The smile on your face says it all
We’re having a BLAST over here!
Gotta show love always. This episode gets it really right for me. I like the mechanics side and the reward of seeing something run/drive. Gotta have both.
I absolutely love this build! Always wanted a Syclone.
So much gratification through this entire build even from the sidelines! Thanks for the series!
This build is so incredibly awesome. DUDE! YOU GUYS CRUSHED IT!
Absolutely love the build. Was a huge fan of of the Psyclone and Typhoon. Im glad to see its possible to make one from old scrapped cars. This is why i love junkyard hunting
That's cool you guys, congrats on getting it on the road. It rocks
Great to see success and tons of fun for you guys!
Excellent! This truck rips! Reminds me of the S10 (2wd long bed) my buddy Pete put a 455 Olds in, except his truck would obliterate the rear tires. AWD is definitely the way to go.
Man, I think I was smiling as much as y’all were! Awesome work brothers
Love it tony, cant wait to see a posi in the rear end and some track footage, got me feeling like buying one
1st test drive: 4L60 exits the chat...😂 Side note: Glad the build came out good and made all your efforts worthwhile! Cool to see you so excited!
Love your work guys. Thanks for all that you bring us!
Very awesome to see this coming together!
Been waiting for this moment since your first cyclone investigation. Congrats and keep the awesome content coming!!
LOVE THIS
Can't wait to see more. Well done, gents.
Make sure you're using the updated coversheet for your TPS reports. Yeah.. that would be great.
Such an amazing build. The excitement you boys had getting out on the road is killer. Love the content.
1000% worth it just for the smiles this thing is awsome. cant wait to see it on the track or see the old owner retraction to see it when its fully done
Really great idea. One of the best build's yet Tony. 😎👌
Been looking forward to this episode. Love the unique low buck build. Cant wait to see you get it dialed in.
Killer low-buck project! Well done!!!
This channel just embodies automotive fun. Thanks for the videos guys, you’re all killing it
Hell yes. Huge relief. Want to see this thing shred. Glad you're addressing the fuel system. We know you're sharp Tony but things get overlooked when thrashing.
Subbed. Fun watch. Need to see more of that thing.
Man I proud of yall , it's pretty wicked for the 1st outing and it does that and drives n runs that good. It's about a second away from my stock Typhoon which is incredible. I have the typhoon and a 89 S10 blazer with a 406 small block which is faster than my typhoon but still the typhoon is a blast to drive because of what it is.. I can say as a typhoon owner you honestly have your self a syclone that's exactly what she is now. Congrats after ya get it tuned and get it going better and cleaned up inside Def paint it find some syclone side skirts bumpers through a hood on it. And it wouldn't be no different than the originals are. They Def ain't the fastest things around anymore. But they are extremely fun to drive they sound really neat. And thats what I love about mine , I'll never get rid of it because I grew up with it and it'll continue to go up n value hopefully lol. And funny thing is you can build em for dirt cheap 😂 and you could make it considerably faster than it is now and still not even be 3/4th cost price of the original ones
Man this thing is so sick. Love the budget build and your take on the cyclone. Fricken sweet.
Awesome, looking forward to the updates 😀
Great job guys! Hello from Maine! Love the truck, built not bought! We all are looking forward to see how u continue to improve it and make it better. I hope your channel continues to grow for you guys!
Wow, 11.8 afr on that carb out of the box? That's awesome!!
This is just my kind of build the kind of things i dream of as a 16yr old hot rodder, you are such an inspiration, big love from the UK lads
Absolutely Epic!
I just purchased a manual ‘87 S-10 (my 2nd) with a 2.8.
It was my dream to have a Syclone too, but they were too expensive and I always dreamed of doing a build exactly like this. Thanks for proving that it’s not only possible, but those smiles at the end say it all!
Shit, I’d almost be willing to give you the new ‘87 I just bought just to reproduce what you did here, or I’d even give up my job for the chance to learn how with y’all!
Thanks for this!
This is one of coolest things you guys have done!!!
Hell yeah, TA. What an awesome project. Takes me back to my childhood
This is the most RK thing I've seen in a minute. Killin it man!!!
Awesome build and great video! That truck is going to be a lot of fun on the street.
100% an amazing build.. definitely my favorite on TH-cam right now
Really neat build. The salad shooters are a nice touch.
Loving the direction of the channel
That thing is insane!!!! Your buddy Finnegan is gonna be so envious..😁😁
