How to Setup and Install the Tormach 24R CNC Router

Note: At 04:38 the rear of the controller shows an RGB connection. Those are no longer included and have been replaced with an HDMI connection. An HDMI cable is included with the new controller.
The setup of the Tormach 24R CNC Router is relatively straightforward. Since it's built with welded steel and an iron frame, it comes completely assembled. This is convenient for ease of setup, but you do have to take some things into consideration. Tormach recommends using a forklift to remove the 24R off of the shipping pallet. This is the quickest way to get it into your workshop. Because we know that not everyone has a forklift we also include a link to a separate video for an alternative method.

The installation and setup look really straight forward. The solid base looks nice. Any details on setting up the vacuum table?

The 24R's vacuum table is designed for 2 ft. x 4 ft. spoil boards. It has 3 zones, with 6mm gaskets, and includes 6mm locating pins. The vacuum pump inlet is 1.25 in., and the 24R can be used with any vacuum pump of your choosing, but we offer a Storm Vacuum pump as an accessory: tormach.com/storm-vacuum-pump-for-24r-kit.html
