Before corona, my family was about to sell our house in the mountains at Almora to relocate to Delhi. Then corona happened, I came home for WFH and during these 15 months, I realised that no big city can give me more happiness than this small hilly town. I am saying NO to migration now and trying to build a new house in the hills.

Whenever I hear hills and Uttarakhand I get vibes of watching Ruskin bond series adapted on DD national...it was beautiful and shot on real location as beautiful as you are showing and with similar childhood stories as yours! Simply blessed and lucky childhoods of those who grew on mountains!
"Ek Tha Rusty" . I lived in hills most of the my life and now living in plains. But whenever I want to relive those beautiful moments of time when my thoughts were kindled around mountains , I watch "Ek tha Rusty". I can relate easily to Jamie and his childhood activities. I pasted newspaper cuttings of crickters , scorecards written by hand, movie posters, interviews, reviews and what not on notebooks. Wonderful time it was. Thank you for reminding me Rusty and simultaneously my joyous beautiful childhood.

I still remember when your Late father Shri Tom Alter ji visited my school Raja Ram in Dehradun where I interacted with him, it was such a joy seeing and talking to him. Landour is a beautiful place and I use to visit with friends after bunking college classes 🤣, this video reminds me of all the memories that I have in my hometown. Thank you Jamie for sharing the video.

"आज़ाद पंछी थे" सही में पुराने दिनों की याद दिला दी नहीं तो सिल्वर सिटी के फ्लैटों की बंद दीवारों में जिंदगी ही बंद सी हो गयी हैं, क्या नहीं किया बचपन में, कुछ नहीं होता था पर फिर भी बहुत कुछ था भले ही क्रिकेट खेलने के लिए बैट ना हो तो क्या, फट्टे से या थपकी सही उस से ही खेल लेंगे, बोरियत शब्द तो था ही नहीं पूरे दिन करने के लिए कुछ ना कुछ था, मस्त दिन थे गज़ब दिन थे यार

Your wondrtful stories of your childhood in the eighties...evoked slightly less stories of mine of going to Dalhousie our family home Silverton...which is now a heritage home which my brother and his wife ran for 26-27 years...we have now leased it out to 1589 group of hotels run by the Clark's group of people. Silverton is the name of our property in Dalhousie.
My late father was from the Army and I remember driving in my car with now my late mom and late dad when we were posted in towns of Punjab...or by train when we were in Delhi. Unfortunately due to Pandemic the fun of travelling has gone.

Pehli bar aapka video aur hairaan ho gayi ki yeh angrez itni aachi shudh hindi kaise bol rahe hai. Ab bus ek video se toh mujhe nahi pata chal raha hai ki aapki story kya hai.
