Terrific video series. This is way above my head but it's entertaining to watch you build. You're a very clever man.

Great update video Wayne .. wish you had done some mods on your Routemaster build .. (I know others have, but they never show the detail of how to actually add them to the exiting wiring for example) .. you could do an update video by installing the Partworks Upgrade power mod & collaboration Bluemaster Mod by Ian Campbell & Horlixs ? Would have loved to see you add the nearside side light that was missing & added flashing front indicators (although only one side should be flashing front/back as RM’s didn’t have hazard warning capability) .. just a thought!

I'm really enjoying seeing this one come together, the movie era enterprise is such a beautiful ship, I think this model is going to look amazing with all the work and attention to detail you're putting in

Awesome job man. I would have the time but unfortunately not the resources right away to do this. Being on a fixed income makes it a tad bit difficult because I'm the type of person "who wants it done now" LOL Of course, I must remind myself "Patience my young Padawan"(ok, maybe not so young) "This is the Way

Looks nice. There's a lot of aztecing to do on the exterior of the refit Enterprise, I'm looking forwards to seeing this done as it's my favourite of the Enterprises.

The electronics are still a little above my paygrade. But I did appreciate you explaining the Buck Converter. I also followed how you programed the Nano Arduino and connected the two together. After that, I got a little lost. How you are able to correctly identify each wire without labels is amazing. Two things though. (1) as you were removing the tape from the saucer section, I notice some "debris" - I hope it was dust and not residue from the airbrush. (2) When I mask off around panel lines, I find that applying a wider tape to the area and using a fresh Exacto blade cut the tape following the panel line. This ensures a razor edge and eliminates paint bleed. When you removed the tape, I did notice some micro-rough edges - but you'll probably never really notice it unless you examine the ship with your magnifying glasses. 🙂 This video series is really educational, and I look forward each episode! 👍 p.s. I thought you said "But Converter..but it's really a Buck . . . LOL. I found it in my U.S. Amazon search.

OK, we have a very different system for working out if masking went well or poorly.
The grey area is inset - the grey should start from the intersect. The whole way round you start it a mil or so inside the intersect at the top, and go a mil or so over the intersect at the bottom, and you have excessive bleeding on the entire piece.
I'm not trying to be harsh for the fuck of it, but you don't turn a pig's ear into a vienetta but just saying it is so.

  • @Vondoodle

smashing stuff - i to always have a tiny bit of bleed under tape when airbrushing - its very annoying

Your almost as good as Lou D with lighting models.......🙂😄 Either way at least you can both solder, where as I can't solder for toffee..... It's coming along nicely, are you goung to do the Azteking like lou and Phil did?

Just out of curiosity, what happened when you tried 12V? Going at or above 12V often burns out the voltage regulator on the Arduino
