    Thank you
As a Borderline woman with the honor of three grown children I needed to hear someone acknowledge the value of both the parent and child’s perspectives in all three cases ESPECIALLY the last one…as my caring can be so intense I have to hear how it’s often to step back …as you say just out of reach sometimes

This video further emphasis the true complexity of relationships, in this case, parent-child.

So what about people with npd having had a childhood with major neglect?
I am no professional, just from my own experience I recognise this may be an ingredient. But also as explained npd is utter coping: when loneliness makes someone's emptiness shape themselves into a puffed up ego because of it; for survival.

A truly interesting topic! I'm just curious if there are some precise "developmental windows" in which the development of the personality (and thus the phenomena described by Dr. Choi-Kain) takes place in time in most of the individuals, or if there is much more subjectivity in this framework. Starting from that, could we expect some future personality traits from the early interactions between the child and the caregiver during the first months of life? Thank you as always!

Did I already comment, "Fantastico"?? Just watched for the 3rd time, and refreshed my "share" on FB. Wee!

Oh no. I have participated very actively in preventing my younger wife from ever having to face consequences and I have certainly contributing to her remaining the “center of focus” far past its natural time… 🤦🏻‍♂️ I suppose many other factors are at play as well… childhood neglect/abandonment/instability/unpredictability… but still… I most definitely had my hand in this and it was all done with the purest and noblest of intentions. 😕 What now? 😬

I think this is so accurate…I am a firm believer in rites of passage.

What if you were parentified in an abusive environment and missed the nurturing and development ? Then you end up *f****d like me and alone and fearful .
    I’m
Not sure if DBT helps in this case

😂😂😂I don't know what kind of patients are they seeing... some of them started to take care of their parents at early age...
