I bought an old corolla for my daughter. Twice she drove into the back of a suv and crumpled the hood and smashed the headlight assemblies. Twice I replaced the hood and headlight assemblies. I took a dog leash and a 45 lb dumbbell weight to yank the frame back in shape. She moved to n.y. city and I gave that car to my wife's brother who always had car troubles. He can't believe how it just runs and runs and nothing goes wrong with it.

Scotty, my first new car (1976) was a Toyota Corolla SR5 2 door lift back. Four cylinder manual tranny only option was air conditioning. Took a chance on a new brand in town.
Eight years later it was still running great with 170 miles.
Ran the gamut of different makes cars over the years.
Both, my wife and I have settled on Toyota Avalons.
Sorry to learn 2023 was the last year for the Avalon model!
