@@spinnmotion9704 Not true. Title would only say "1996 Chevrolet". Old car. Cheap insurance. Insurance companies don't really charge based on what it is if it's old. If you tell them how much you paid or the miles, then you messed up. If you're making payments, you basically have no choice but to pay full coverage. Most of the time, it's required. When you're getting insurance on an old car say like a 79 Camaro ("1979 Chevrolet"), just be like "yehh It works sometimes. It's a real beater. Just gonna drive it locally down to barber every couple weeks." On my '68 Pontiac which wasn't even running yet, I told them how much I paid for it and the miles were 38,000, and they were charging me over 300 a month and it wasn't even full coverage. Big mistake.
My first car was a 2003 G35 sedan 6-speed. Picked it up for $6k with some miles on it. Pros: 260-280hp, one of the best sounding engines ever made, rear-wheel drive, optional 6-speed manual, sedans have great insurance rates, room for more than one friend, decent safety ratings, Nissan parts are abundant, big trunk for woofing sound system Cons: No pop-up headlights
My first car was a 1980 1.4l chevy chevette with 52hp and 4 gears! Now that I finnished paying the installments I can finally save up for the transfer fees!
James is fucking killing it right now okay? Don’t try to slow him down with the “oh I’m worried for you baby” bullshit. James, if you can hear me.. I love you
Well here we are, been watching for a few years now and boys, it happened, I bought my first car, it’s a 1988 Toyota supra. It’s an automatic and is n/a but for what I paid for was definitely worth it. Obviously it’s not the smartest choice of a first car I know that already. I just wanted to say thank you donut for getting me in to cars this wouldn’t of happened without you guys.
Ohhhhhh, did I want one of these back in the day! Wait, I still want one. My 2nd car was I think probably the closest analog of the time, an 85' 300ZX (bought around '96), first car being an 85' Honda CR-X, oh yes, Si (both manual). I would have traded the Z for a Supra in a second though. It is a bit too bad that it's an auto, but you can still have fun with it, and it's still a cool ass car. I say well done son.
My first car was a Black 2013 Suziki Swift Sport. Was deam fun in corners. And you had to work the gears to go fast. Fun gokart. And cheep to maintain.
I'm almost positive he is beyond tired of these shaved James comments lol. 99 percent of them are about his beard and 1 maybe actually about the video.
My first car was a 1 liter Seat Arosa (prefacelift btw.). The car cost £900, the insurance cost £2500. Madness. Had the little shit lowered so low it bottomed out on potholes. Fails it's not, turned out the whole underside was fucked and dead hahaha.
Insurance for is expensive everywhere in the world. I pay 2600 euros a year for full possible international coverage on 2017 audi s8 and I am 22 years old. Tried to insure my 991 911 GTS in germany and it was like 7000 euros a year and in my country it was 3200 euros a year with even better insurance. So yeah everywhere else is expensive for me.
@@Chromastoma I mean part of the problem is your age, and the type of car your using as an example. It wouldn't ever be cheap for someone your age, anywhere, ever.
my parent had bought me an accord as my first car and i have to say that it isnt fast but you can still have fun with it. I got it before I was into cars but as soon as i started driving, i realized that I have a passion for it. Not only that but if you know how to drive it well then some people would think you have a turbo even though its stock.
I’m proud to boast that my first car was a 1988 Corvette, baby. Also managed to buy a 2002 WRX wagon that same week. …I had been saving up for a while. Really proud of my determination, got to experience two vastly different driving styles and eras at a young age.
dad still has his ‘06 sequoia and the only problem is that the electric locking mechanism on the left door doesn’t work. that’s it. drives it every day.
My 07 EL Eddie Bauer only has 120k but she's a champ. Threw a level kit on it, f150 20s with Wranglers, and an insane sound system. My 04 got up to 140k before it was totaled, my 99 did 250k before I sold it and my 01 did 175k before I sold it
@@johnlarsen7068 depending on the country. Shipping to Europe isn't cheap, but it's nothing compared to the tax and stuff you pay to make it legal. F.e. in Hungary the VAT is 27%. Donut Media: The Corvette C4 is a good first car Me: Yeah, I kinda agree My 2006 Corolla: You sure bro? check your wallet. You cant even afford my maintenance
C4 corvette was my first car. I fixed it up, 6spd manual for 5k. Convertible, green and was is still fast. I now own another. I will always remember the first day i tamed that car.
I didn't have a car till I was 19. I had saved up a tiny bit of money but I spent it on a guitar and amp, because my buddy had a 70 Chevelle for his first car. I would rather sit as a passenger in his car than most cars I could afford. I did finally get a 1996 Dodge Intrepid (3.0 V6). Had it for about 8 years, it was pretty fun (for me), but I don't recommend anyone own one longer than 4 years, because the suspension goes to trash and replacing it will cost about half what the car is worth.
My man had a 12 hour heart attack and that wasn’t the first time he had one. Get well bruh! Please take your time with recovery, your people have been holding it down
A+ broski! u can't beat a good panther body. Most comfortable car I've ever rode in. You don't feel potholes as long as the air suspension is in good shape
Congrats. I sold my 2011 Towncar last year and bought a 2013 Prius. It's a plug in hybrid and my commute to work is short so I haven't had to purchase fuel in months now. In legitimately was mad that fuel prices tanked because I couldn't take advantage of it. Prius guy problems. I also put a bumper sticker that says I used to be cool on the back since I used to have a C6 Z06 Vette about 10 years ago. My friends think I've lost my mind. I'll likely be getting a Tesla P90D soon as well. 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds.

I own a MK4 Golf GTI and James is right its super reliable, I have driven it over a million kilometers and till this day, he's still running, FUN too, The turbo makes it all the more exciting and more pleasing to drive. Show it love and it will love you too.
I remember my first car, it was an '03 Civic Coupe. Wrecked the poor thing on a drive to college at one of the worst designed left turn intersections I've ever seen. Now it's probably crushed up in a cube somewhere in car hell. My second car was a nearly identical '04 Civic Sedan. I drove that car until basically the wheels fell off. It's still on the road actually and someone I know drives it now, of course it had to be fixed up a bunch. Now I drive an '11 Accord Coupe, and I like it a lot. Big jump in power from my two Civics since it's got a 3.5L V6, so it pulls pretty nicely. It feels kinda unique because newer Accords no longer come in coupe configurations. I'll probably drive it until the wheels fall off too which'll probably be a long time because Honda.
As a e46 owner (although i have a 325ci) I cannot stress enough how fun they are to drive, just make sure your subframe mounts are in check and make sure you do a cooling system overhaul and it'll take anything you throw at it

Just gonna drive it locally down to barber every couple weeks."
On my '68 Pontiac which wasn't even running yet, I told them how much I paid for it and the miles were 38,000, and they were charging me over 300 a month and it wasn't even full coverage. Big mistake.
