Hope to see you in CSBK sometime! I'm a Canadian in the US competing with wera at the moment but looking forward to trying a season up there and jamming with ya'll back home!
Thanks for the breakdown. So there is a name. Subconsciously I know about the racing line, but I didn’t know there was a name for it lol thank you for sharing this information. Keep up the great work!
Awesome video brother, very informative! In my opinion, that was a very reckless move by rider #21 @2:59, he almost took 2 other riders out. Going into the carousel with so much speed and on such a tight line is a recipe for disaster. Very well handled by the rider on the outside who almost got taken out.
Thanks bro!!! Glad you found it helpful. With regards to the other rider, sadly, its just part of racing. Everyone has different risk tolerance, some will be more aggressive than others.
Is the picture at 2:31 showing a 600cc or a 1000cc? I know there should be a difference in how a 600cc and a 1000cc perform on the track, which is why I’m asking.
Good little video... But you forgot to say that the correct line for one corner may not be the ideal line for THAT corner as it can put you in the wrong part of the track for the next corner. You need to learn each section of track as a sector and work on that sector over any other part of the track then start to link those sectors together. If you simply try to learn the whole track as a whole it is too much to take in and up your pace too. It is better to work on sections and say learn turn 1 and increase your pace towards turn 2 but when you find that its making turn 2 harder to get right then adjust turn one to get you into turn two better and this will lead you into turn 3 at higher and higher speeds. Then you need to adjust your line to make turn 3 work for you better. It is possible to get turn 1 and 2 really quickly but find you are running into turn 3 too hot or your line is way off for turn 3.. You need to concentrate on where you need to be and the pace you need as you work out the track. If you try to do the whole track in one go it is too much to think about for a new rider and will make you slower. Break it down to sections you can look at, remember and alter one step at a time. As you get more experience learning a track will get easier as you will have many different corners and combinations of corners in your head which you can call on and use to help speed up the learning process. But initially break each section down and just ride the rest of the lap how you would normally. You may find that for much of the lap your lines are close to where they need to be and it is just fine tuning. Just don't try to learn too much as it is too much sensory overload once the pace increases. Keep it simple and break it down.
Great analysis and explanation! Thank you!

Yup agreed, we all have different risk tolerances.
