@@cbgbstew4072 yeah your probably right because I’ve never played bass nor the guitar so to me, it’s amazing lol
Your playing is utterly mesmerizing.
Super! Enjoying listening watching this with my 9 year old son. A great example of what good practice can turn you into.
Fantastic. Fave video of the month. Snappin!
We've been hit by...
We've been struck by...
A Bass Criminal.
🤣
We've been slapped
Been tapped by, been slapped by ?
The level of dedication and talent from the man is unreal
Charles has the ability to take an incredible song and bring it to a whole new level 😎😎
rush e in c major?
Hi Charles. Thank you for this video. I am 35 and after I watched it I bought myself a bass and I am starting to learn now :) Hopefully one day I will be able to play 1/100 of what you do :) Is there a lesson for this song ?
لا توجد كلمات تعبر عن مدى روعة هذه الموسيقى و العزف الاحترافي ...انت موهوب ومحترف .تحياتي
DUDE!!!! OMG! 🤯 This is my new favorite of yours! First, my favorite MJ song. Second, Holy shi...t! What an awesome rendition! They are the funkiest, melodic lines I have ever heard. MORE PLEASE...👏
Dude, I am surprised Alien Ant Farm hasn't hired you as their bassist, because damn, your energy is just off the charts. You light those frets on fire and do things to a bass that most of us could only dream of. Seriously, you're comparable to many legendary bass players, and have proven yourself to even surpass them in terms of technical skill.
Absolutely amazing!! Insanely good and such a good rendition of the song on a single instrument. Looked like you enjoyed playing that one too 😁👌
Hey Charles,
i am crazy for the tabs, Where exactly can i find them? Quite confused by the patreon homepage. Thanks man. so coool
Hello Charles. Is it possible to record a video for us, please , talking about your bass settings, showing the best tips to fit well for slap and tapping?
When you present us with a poll, assuming ANY bass player could pull it off...sometimes we take your insane talent for granted. It's THAT good, Charles.
Charles I'm sure you get these kind of comments all the time so I don't expect you to see this but I just want to say you literally made me show interest in music for the first time, I saw one video and immediately decided I wanted to learn bass and have been playing ever since (for about a year and a half)). So thank you!
What an amazing arrangement is this Charles, excellent piece of music! Thank you so much 🙏
You play the bass exactly in the way that satisfies my deepest eargasm like it’s perfect
I love how, as the playing gets more crazy, his smile grows and then by the end he is shredding and loving it
Dude!!! That's disgusting!
Playing at that insanely high level should be a crime! That's illegal!
Seriously, man... you makes us start loving all over again these classics while enjoying hugely your versions!
Be proud! MJ would.
*Kess Bar:* "Playing at that insanely high level should be a crime! That's illegal!"
It is. He's a _smooth criminal._
😎
I would love to see you and Getty Lee have an in person jam session and BASS-OFF! That would be Epic!
If Michael were alive and would see this, he’d hire you for his next tour
1:27 nailed it
I always have to smile when i see and hear you playing. It´s just so amazing, like from another planet, not only technically but also compositionwise.
Funk is the basic energy that rocks a typical Michael Jackson song. Awesome playing!
*Here's a brain that can coordinate that sort of activity, meanwhile I'm standing with the icebox door open trying to remember what I came in the kitchen looking for...* 😮💨🤦🤷😁
Amazing job, Charles! You won't stop impressing us
Charles, great, as always... I've been following you for about a year now. I wanted you to know how much I (and I'm sure many others) appreciate that you show your hands so we can see how you're making the sounds you're making. I don't know how many takes you go through to get a perfect one, but whether it's 1 or 10, the vids we see seem to always be flawless, and inventive musically as well. Thanks for all the work - you've clearly benefited from those 20,000+ hours. ✌❤
I was blown away, but at 1:36 my bowels let loose, I threw up, urinated, and bled out of my nose and ears, all at the same time! Then when I thought it was safe, it happened again at 1:58. Charles is right now the most outwardly bassist I've ever heard, and that includes Victor. Only one who can probably keep up is Davey. And I love the fact that Davey helped Charles get noticed. Both those guys are class acts.
I will never ever pick up a bass guitar again. I'm taking up the drums.
I know you're a super successful TH-camr, solo artist, and session player. But do you ever do random busking anymore just to blow people's minds?
Would watch!
Would get wood!
This is a sick idea bro ❤
Same!
Would be a cool mini series
Huh, idk if im just tripping but this sounds EXTREMELY similar to an 8-bit or chiptune version of the song. Alot of the bass notes sound really digital on the end its super nice!
I had the priveledge of Marcus Miller playing an exclusive 'I'll be there' from MJ just for me on my birthday. I just couldn't believe the beauty of the notes he played and the pure magic of his performance
This sounds awesome! One of my favorite songs back in the day, and you do it justice!
You do a lot of showcases of your insane skills.. can you do a video about how you practice these skills? (Or if you already did, point me in the right direction? Like.. how did you develop that tone and consistency, how did you develop your speed and accuracy? Etc)
Punaise mais t'es une tuerie à la basse !! Thumbs up ! 🔥
This song was already funky AF, but you just turned it up to a 11
I like that your the 11th comment
That's smooth, you're a criminal!
*you're 😏
Like this???
I am again blown away by the skill you have. Speechless🤯
Love the smile when your runs turn out...perfectly
I just can't stop on repeat.. that funk!!!!!!
Dude! You're a monster! Always with such great feel and groove! Davie504 should kneel in your presence! 🤘🤛🔥
Davie is a great bass player but Charles is the best bass player of all time possiblly... not even joking here. 🙃
@@MrDmadness No for real bro... his touch and style, approach, technicality... I mean he's like a video game character that has all the features at 9.5/10 PLUS cheat codes enabled lol! 😲
Everything's fine but i have one most important question..
*Is Annie ok?*
I’ve only just now found your channel and I have to say that your videos are the biggest inspiration for me. I haven’t played bass regularly in at least ten years and they’re mostly ornaments for my man cave but watching your videos makes me want to get them down more often.
Every once in a while I see a video that makes me re-appreciate TH-cam. Your video is one. Amazing.
I hit LIKE quicker than a SLAP!💯
Бро, я просто офигел)) Так держать! ✌️🤘
How to make guitarists redundant
Yoooooo, WTF!!?? What a instrumental bro' unbeleable, the best music, i don't have woeds!!
Давно надо это было уже обыграть! =))) Браво! =)
Саня, ты в порядке?
I'm not able to express how cool, amazing and insanely brilliant this cover is ...
I like how he's slowly but surely digging a hole in his LeFay bass, I wonder if one day we'll be able to see through it... That'd be pretty cool I reckon.
Like the solo is amazing, but I literally cant wrap my head around the Part at 0:23 it's just mind-blowing
1:35 is more impressive in my opinion
Can you play little wing of Jimi Hendrix like Stevie Ray Vauhgan? pls
Possibly your best video/cover. Amazing.
Sounds just like Alien Ant Farm
I wouldn't say just like, but it's pretty hard to slap that bass line without acknowledging AAF.
