Fish aren’t the brightest things and just react a lot of the time. Just keep goin at it and you’ll find em 👍🏻 keep tryin different techniques as well, sometimes it’s as simple as changing colors others it’s change the whole set up. I rolled into a cove in a lake one evening in a row boat. It was very calm and quiet evening. I was looking and moving towards a bank that had a couple trees laying in the water by some pretty grown banks that were not real access able by foot. There were some low hanging branches. I saw a large mouth bass jump a foot or 2 up out of the water and bump a baby bird out of it's nest. when the bird hit the water it disappeared. the water swirled a bit and i just said wow. That was the craziest thing that I had ever seen fishing.

The good thing about top water baits is you never get snags and you watch your fish jump for your bait .. I have to try that spider this year ... Thanks for the cool video 🎣
It's more the precise casts and a good sense of location than it is the lure. It's the fisherman haha, but that being said I am also considering the lure as my ego is writing checks my skill can't cash.
You should do a slo-mo replay of some of those... like that last one. Jumping out to grab that spider and then hauling it back under the bank. Would look awesome zoomed in and about 1/3 speed! Really enjoy your videos!🤙

I’ve wrapped the foil from gum packs around hooks and caught huge smallies.
