- I'm back in the kayak for an evening of topwater fishing! On this trip I put the new Headbanger Spitfire up against some angry smallmouth bass!

Dude, I’m an old guy and my wife just showed me that I can comment! I’m 51 and an avid outdoorsman and camped all my life. My brother and friend caught a pike last June 2020 and the rest is history. I’ve watched all your videos and learned so much. (Bought your rods n reels too😂) I’ve gone on 18 trips since last June and loving fishing! I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your fishing experience with us. Your demeanour and way you post your videos is awesome! I’m from Ontario and once covid is done I’m going to come to MN and ND to fish. 🙏

I've never seen a strike as instantaneous as one of the ones you had. That was a great endorsement for that lure.
I’ll get a lot of reaction strikes like that on this river when I toss my lure next to one of those smallie hiding spots. I really like the minnow profile of this lure though, I don’t think the fish will think twice about smashing it!

Happens all the time, some lures hit the water like a bass killing a bait fish, provoking strikes.

That looks like a lure I will have to pick up for my river Smallie fishing. I learned to be a better netter from watching your vids. The way you use the line to keep the fishes head out of the net. It avoids the lures hooks from getting stuck in the net. Brilliant!

He's fishing in waters filled with fish, and aggressive ones at that. Where you fish really has a lot to say, and sometimes you also just get unlucky.
That’s awesome, it’s funny because love throwing Topwater but also throw Swim Baits and catch some tanks here in Georgia. I went river fishing here a couple weeks back for Shoal bass they are an angry fish to catch.
