I revisit this channel when I need a mental reset. This is one of the most human channels on the platform. Sometimes I need to listen to a video of a speaker who isn't afraid to pause and think before they talk, whose every waking moment isn't spent trying to hold millions of viewers' attention with nonstop, mashed together sentences with no breaks to process what was said, with flashing lights and fast music. It's refreshing to just listen to a man talk like an actual human.

Man this is so right. Been struggling with marijuana and porn use for the last several years. Currently 12 days off both. I’m realizing many of my negative thoughts and emotions stem from my childhood and now social media and society. If I can give you any advise, try to be on your own for a while. Narcissists generally tend to view people as a sort of "resource", as in using them to feel better about themselves. See what happens when you take away this resource and start relying on your own for a while. Not trying to judge, it's just generally what happens and it's often not something you do with complete awareness. I know two people with narcissistic tendencies and if there's one thing they always struggle with, it's being on their own and being content with themselves... but I think that's exactly the root of the problem, and a fixable one. Stay strong, apologize to the ones you might have hurt, and work on yourself without relying on others for a while.

This is exactly what I needed to figure something out. I’ve always thought some women have inherent femininity and I don’t have it, when in fact I had it too, but it was covered by anxieties, fears, overburdening myself with work. I started working on eliminating those issues in my life and my femininity awakened! I no longer feel shame or guilt when men offer help for example, but a year ago I felt miserable, not worthy of being noticed / taken care of, guilty and shameful, as if I ‘m a burden to everyone. I tried to do something to find that confidence and femininity, when in fact all I needed was just cut off all the issues that were hiding those qualities from the world.

Life has a way of teaching us in hard ways lessons we often would rather not learn. I want to offer you my words should Dwayne not be able to respond. But my heart goes out to you both. Though I am not a sage like Dwayne,
I have walked as one does in life when confronted with loss and fear. Before I continue, I wanted to add that I am sorry that your wife has breast cancer I hope that she can be cured and that total strangers online are rooting for you both with all the love I can send you. Having said that I want to pivot to the matters of your troubled heart. When I was going through a period of great heartache and tragedy, I desperately looked for solace everywhere I looked I tried reading for solutions to sooth my agony I tried to "solve" the fearful emotional parts of me with advice from others and books on how to save me from the loss I was enduring. I even took up drinking to numb myself from the torture of my fearful heart. The only thing that saved me at all was to confront my fear and acknowledge it head on and let go of your will to control the outcome. The hard truth is as much as you want to protect your wife you cannot. Ultimately, we cannot control the outcomes in our lives fully and we have to accept that we will do our best for ourselves and our families and hopefully we will win the battles that we want to. Aside from that I would suggest daily gratitude for what you have in your life. Be grateful. Be grateful for anything large or small in your life but do it daily and with meaning. Hold her hand, look her in the eye be present with her and together fight this fight as you both decide to do. What you are going though can damage your sense of peace. I hope you can both get through this together and if you are religious maybe it's a good time to get engaged with your faith more. I am not religious per se but I do believe in faith>fear. Not necessarily faith in God but faith in the idea that great things that are possible in the face of fear. Be faithful and dare to win! Be brave in the face of fear. There is no salve on this earth that can sooth the thoughts that may plague you. Keep your chin up you can do this together and keep being grateful for each other and accept that there is much you cannot control.

Believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will hold you through the hardships and strengthen you through your growth. Grief and loss are such a difficult part of the journey of life, but it’s nothing that Jesus can’t fix. Trust Him today. I’m praying that He will give you guidance through the Word and peace in your soul.

I’d say it depends on the length of the race. A 2 mile run absolutely guy who didn’t pack himself down. In a long distance race you might want the pack. 6p’s my wise friend. Prior prep prevents piss poor performance.

Consider asking Jesus Christ to enter your heart and your life, and to help you out. You'll be suprised what will start happening in your inner and outer life. And pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ for everything you need, physically, spiritually, mentally, health wise, finacially, friend wise etc, - with thanks giving - every day, and start reading the bible, every day. And I promise you.. things will start to turn around brother. Let go and let God. God bless you brother.

Some weeks ago my wife and I where sorting up some old pictures and I noticed and I commented., hey, we made a very pretty couple!
    -Yes, we did.
I saw it, she looked so fine always have but I could not grasp my self, who is that lean, tan, atletic looking guy? Lucky bastard...but I felt not so about my self and there was reasons for it.
My wife she told me that she got all the same feelings over her as we are from the same kind of twisted background where nice was not ment for us, as in that time the Todds and the Lizzards family actually they where all mighty splended.
Perspectives, in today we have gained us some weight but we both feel good, in a right way. We got kids and grand kids a good stock of fine looking atletics and they are to know about it that we are proud but thats it, the looks is not all, love is all, to love its own.

Lately, I've begun working hard to develop my communication skills. I've always been the quietest one around with the mumbling, monotone voice. I want to become a better communicator, but the "fat" for me is the trepidation, the anxiety of social interactions. My socializing muscles are atrophied, but I also have a layer of anxiety fat over them. Thanks for the eye-opening lessons as always.

Bad diet is mine. I had a very poor excuse of a father and his side of the family was just as cruel and cold. I finally had enough of the strings attached relationship and they sent me money for my birthday and I sent it back and I didn’t say anything. I just sent it back. They sent a long swear filled text message and said I am officially blacklisted from the family, All family events etc. I was amused because I had already blacklisted myself years before because their emotional abuse was so much that it put me in a mental hospital for a suicide attempt. I’ve dealt with mental health issues for many years but I am on medication and therapy that has evened me out. I do eat poorly to hide my emotions and I find it hard to cry even when I need to because my dads family was a “ don’t cry / feel “ kind of group. You swallow your pain and put on a smile and fake it until you make it. I’m a sensitive gentle person. I care a lot about others. I have a homeless person 5 dollars and cried because they acted like I gave them 5000 and I couldn’t imagine what that must be like to have to live that way. I can’t stand for animals to be hurt or killed because I see them as Gods beings so I’m Vegan. Thou shalt not kill. I don’t want to be the reason an animal cries or spills blood when God gave me beans and fruits and seeds and vegetables to keep me healthy and helping his other creations and creatures. Thanks to my mom and my brother and medication and therapy I have come to realize that I can’t take care of others if I don’t take care of myself. I’m walking daily and cutting out carbs and sugars. Life is short and I want to make positive changes for myself and the world I live in and if people consider me a sissy or weakling or whatever other names they have then that’s fine. God made me. God can judge me.
