Nice one mate. My favourite car from one of my favorite films.
I applaud Sean Connery for choosing to star in this instead of Lord of the Rings!
Every twist and turn of this film is gloriius madness, which is certainly how I like to live my life!
Best wishes from an Englishman making armour and music in a French forest. 🇬🇧⚒️🇺🇲

Even 6-wheeled limousines are outdated. It's something that's very rare.

This limousine will definitely remind me of the Tyrell P34 F1, as first seen in the Transformers cartoon sci-fi series episode called "The Key to Vector Sigma Part one" about what's well-known. 🔑 🗝 🔐 🔟 #️⃣ 3️⃣ 🔑

The term “motor carriage” was applied to very early automobiles.
That was shortened to “motor car” and finally “car”.
The two steering axles idea goes back at least to the 1930s. It was supposed to provide more safety on winding European roads, but as roads got better it kid of faded away but enjoyed a resurgence in 1960s American “dream car” designs from automakers. The Ford Seattle-ite is a good example, bubble top and all.
Nemo’s car to me screams for a V-16. There’s plenty of room, but would it be a steam engine?

      steam powered - hmmm - that's an idea ! 🙂

Ive seen the actual screen used car in person at Dezerland in Orlando, Fl. The car is based on a cadillac eldorado front wheel drive chassis. Pretty awesome car to see in person its huge.

*Think* that one is a replica. According to most records, the original was contructed using a modified Land Rover chassis with a Rover V8 engine (and according to one account, was a pig to drive). According to Hotcars, the replica sold for more than the original! By the bye, there was a matching kit of Nemo's Nautilus.

I'd love to see a mainstream model company release this "automobile" in styrene. I don't do ebay/paypal, so anything from small specialty companies is pretty much unavailable for me.

If you could get your hands on a 1/24 scale Monogram Dusenberg or I don't remember if they did a Caddy with a V-16 but I think they did a Lincoln with a V-12.

A guy put one in a fake Rolls Royce car way back. He used to like to use it on the Autobahn in Germany, where he would sidle up to sports cars, change down and zoom off.

I see prices like that on ebay sometimes - but I wonder if they really sell? I have also seen a resin one on there for far less but not recently. I bought this new when it first came out so it was far less money then. It really needs to be reissued by Wave so it's affordable to everyone.
