OMG thank you so much it works perfectly! I’m really frustrated when I try to install Windows 10 Pro on my ASUS laptop it always ended up in Windows 10 Home SL, while I can choose Windows 10 Pro to install in my MacBook.

This method works! I built a new pc and installed home by mistake and couldnt activate my windows key which was for pro. didnt know what i was going to do!
I'm in this exact same situation! However, this procedure appears to delete Windows 10 Home from the h/d before installing Windows 10 Pro. Is that what you did or did you do an in-place install (i.e. without deleting the Windows 10 Home partitions)?

What version of Windows 10 does the USB have? I'm having the same issue since this laptop has a Home Single Language embedded version which doesn't give a shit if you have Windows 10 Pro or not in the thumb drive. I wonder if those files you showed in the video were in the USB Pro version too.
My USB have a multiple version of Windows 10 which includes Home and Pro

One thing you have not mentioned clearly is that the Windows 10 pro edition will be installed without activation. And the person has to then purchase a product key online to activate it.

You must backup first all your data. You will lose all your data if you wipe/format it

I can't even start the at the beginning in cmd. It doesn't matter if I run as admin or not. When I type cd Desktop It says "the system cannot find the pat lh specified" and if i type cd\ desktop is the same result. Any ideas?
You can create the config file in any folder and copy it to the USB drive

Installing new OS require to delete all the partitions, please make sure to backup first all your data

Bro, where's that 'con' file? Because if you type the very first command, the console shows an error since there's no such 'con' file on desktop to copy out.
"copy con" is a single command for creating the file
Greetings, this looked so promising, but I could never get it work - command prompt kept refusing the initial commands you posted in the video, for example "Desktop" was always declared invalid entry. My command prompt was automatically booted in administrator, so my initial line view stated "C:\WINDOWS\system32>" it was downhill from there. Is there something else that can be entered in order to create the ei.cfg document? Thanks in advance
by starting at the "copy con ei.cfg" I was able to bypass the prior lines that included the word"Desktop" (which ALWAYS elicited an error message). I was able to arrive at the end (Control-Z), but the ei.cfg file was never created on the desktop (I'm not surprised); it was copied, but then I could never paste it to Notepad or any other app. *sigh*

You need a separate license for Windows 10 Pro. To re-install home, just delete the config file

If this appear every time you boot up the laptop? If yes, the old partition of windows 10 is still there, you need to select the default operating system
