If you are running Windows 10 Home and want to upgrade to a better version of windows 10, then this video is for you. Its very easy to do and you wont have to reinstall windows, just follow my step by step guide.

Allways backup stuff on different drive

Don't hide actual key it's in Google if failed try disconnecting network from pc key is vk7jg-nphtm-c97jm-9mpgt-3v66t btw thank me later

Thanks for doing this. I was always under the impression that I would need an ISO and such. Sounds to me like Windows is merely fully installed, and the keys release certain features, based on the edition. Another nice video for you Brian.
When you upgrade your key, it downloads what it needs

I did this with an old Windows 7 Ultimate key I had saved away in the drawer recently. That works great too as long as you own the key.
Do you have to reactivate the key or does the same key apply to Windows Home too?

Thanks for this video rather simple but in reality upgrading isn't that simple especially for activation! The upgrade process is quite different from the fresh install of a Win10 Pro from a purchased Win10 Pro key since upgrade's keys from MS are different. Could you please explain? Thanks in advance and keep on delivering your nice videos on your channel!

just a tip, I upgraded from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro, I used a Windows 7 Pro Key (from an unused box set) and it worked just perfectly.

Will work with any of these: Windows 7 Pro, Windows 7 Ultimate, or Windows 8/8.1 Pro . Doesn’t seem to matter if you’ve used the key before, as I’ve used the same key to upgrade two different machines.
These are the keys I think some of them Windows key selling sites are using, they are probably from when they have done computer rollout and have surplus keys available to resell, but this is just speculation.

I just selected windows 10 pro when installing. Surprisingly it worked and it didn't even asked for a key.

@garyr7027 ohh my workplace just made me do this. Not sure why as others were using 10 Home. Pain in the ass haha.
@@jakes-dev1337 yeah pain in the ass for sure, especially with nearly 1TB of installed games. Years ago it wasn't that much of a issue with reinstall, I've done it many many times, but not with today's programs. A lot of my games are steam games, some online only some on disc, it would take me a over a week to reinstall all that crap then update it, plus back up my admin folder... forget that nonsense.
Yeah but we get gigabit internet now so 1TB isn't so bad anymore to reinstall.@@garyr7027

There will be no data loss when you upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. So, you are safe to upgrade you're Windows.
I upgraded from windows 7 home to windows 10 home during the free upgrade period of 2015, can I use my genuine windows 7 key to do the upgrade to windows 10 pro?

Its more about it being legal then cost, I don't know any online companies
i been looking at ebay sellers , some have them for as little as $5 , dont know how trustworthy or if theyre legal licenses .

Some years ago, I purchased a CD version of Windows 10. The disk has both Home and Pro on it. Since I had been using the Home version, I selected that without much thought. I also bought a license for the disk. My question is, do I have to buy another license key to install the Pro version?
I have to ask you, with these el cheapo windows keys, if you don't activate it within 24 hrs then the key itself no longer works. And once these keys are activated if you decide in future to upgrade your motherboard then windows will ask you to re-install the cheap key and then it will no longer work. What do you think ?
I read this a few weeks ago when i had same questions as you. So it turns out, "OEM" keys can't be shifted to new hardware because once they are activated, they are tagged with your current hardware. "RETAIL" keys however, can be migrated and doesn't get affected by change of hardware. However, Retail keys are just a lot more expensive than your average OEM key, which can be hard for a mere $5 on Ebay etc.
It won't be a problem because I only rebuild my system every few yrs. Which makes the retail key kind of pointless as well. Thank you for your reply.

What I'm most concerned with is the best administrator account. Accept or decline an email / online ID? Are there advantages to _not_ using that suggestion? Privacy is important, but so is easy authentication. For example: No, I don't always want to login with online credentials, but using those same credentials to own the file system of a backup disk for two or more PCs seems good. That owner can grant membership in a backup group to a user on each system.

Look can you help me i have 3.10ghz cpu 200storage 6ram the installation goes to the end then rolling back changes i have been told its the PCI Family controller i unstaled it then connected via usb sriver with phone to wifi then does the aame thing why it do that
When you list the features on Home and Pro I do not see what the big deal is? The Pro version just looks to me to have a bunch of extra "bloated" programs that I would not use? Can someone explain why they felt the need to upgrade to Pro??

I have a Win10 Home installation linked to my Microsoft account, and when I try to upgrade using the generic retail key that you were using, the upgrade fails with information that Windows wouldn't be activated anymore if I were to upgrade it (which is something I don't mind about, and I do not have a Win10 Pro Retail Key at the moment).
Is there a workaround to this ? I note that your version was not activated. Would deactivating my windows prior to the upgrade solve this problem ? If it fails, am I sure that I will be able to re-enable it ? And if so, what is the process to safely disable it without losing it ?
It may be useful to note that my Windows automatically activated when I installed it on a brand new empty SSD after removing the broken HDD which hostred the windows install when I bought it, which means that the key is stored somewhere on the motherboard.
