      true. I find that it's a good idea to try to implement meditation all the time and not just when things are bad.

      I feel the same- I couldn’t concentrate at all during a bad depressive episode and meditation didn’t help then, but once it had lessened a bit and I had some breathing room, I found this really helpful in easing myself back into a better mindset. Good luck to you out there, we can get through this ❤️❤️❤️

      It is the toughest thing a human can go through. Through your pain, you will only grow resilience - a positive of the pain. Remember to try to compartmentalise certain situations or things that make you feel so depressed. Acknowledge them, put them in a box, don’t ignore them, just say ‘I will deal with these things at a later date. Hopefully this will allow you to get on with your day in a somewhat more pleasant state of mind. Love to all who suffer this horrible disease, we can get through it

    If you are reading this, just know the bad times will pass. I’ve been going through depression episodes for a few years now, and nothing has made me feel better as quickly as meditation. I know it’s hard to focus when going through times like this, but everytime you start to think about or feel pain, recognize it, and let it out with your next breath.

    this ten minutes made me realize that i'm being unfair to myself too much. i always hate me and say "why cant i be normal like everyone else?" but when i say this, i am breaking that little child's heart in me and now i wanna hug her and say that im sorry. she was always so powerful and deserved love. she get through everything, im to cruel one for hating her. now its time to hug myself i guess

    The influx of cortisol triggered by depression also causes the amygdala to enlarge. This is a part of the brain associated with emotional responses. When it becomes larger and more active, it causes sleep disturbances, changes in activity levels, and changes in other hormones.👍

    I never understood what depression was and how it could truly affect someone’s mental state until I started to go through it. Even focusing on this video alone was hard because my mind was racing. I’m always tired even after getting enough sleep, my grades are dropping, and I don’t even have any energy to do the things that I love anymore. I’ve been so tied to my bed and constantly cancel on plans. However through it all I still have a little hope that things will get better if I reach out more to get better. If your reading this and you have felt or are currently feeling like this I want you to keep trying because even though you may not see any hope now trust me in the end there will be that light at the end and ur not alone.

      ive been through alot in my life and nothing brought me to my knees like severe depression. so much so i tried to end it all. i couldn't take the pain any longer. nothing, like grief of losing a loved one, addiction, physical pain, nothing hurt more than depression for me. its absolute torture. honestly you gotta find a reason, Even one, for living. my daughter was mine. find yours and hold on to hope. it doesn't last forever. ❤️

      Sure, but when you're "doing nothing", you're probably not actually "doing nothing". Like he says in the meditation, depression is exhausting and really robs us of our energy. You're not "doing nothing." You're resting and healing. Be kind to yourself.

    I never really knew that I need this meditation soo badly.. I started crying in the middle of it.. I lost my dad 5months ago and I am very close with him... I don't know what I am going through..       I wish they were readily available in my place.
      Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac.
      He's constantly talking about killing someone.
      He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

    I was at the verge of a panic attack. I was stressed and overwhelmed and couldn't stop crying, but this made me feel better. To anyone suffering, its ok to not be ok and remember that God loves you no matter where you have been or what you have done. Sending love and good vibes.

    I have recently developed anxiety, and I’m not sure if I have depression or not, but I’ve had a few dark moments where I’ve felt very hopeless. I was having a bad day today. Within a minute of listening to this…. Your voice… the music. I absolutely lost it. I’ve never felt such a release in my life… it felt like so much negative energy was flushed out of me in those tears. And then I started laughing…. I was completely overwhelmed with hope and joy…. This video made me feel so safe. It gave me so much new found energy to face the day. Thank you so much… I can’t stop smiling.

      I think "This will pass" part is true. It can take so long that you might think you'll never laugh again. But someday somehow it will pass. It can't go like this forever. About the "you are not alone" part. We should be realistic. Yes, you may not have friends or a supportive family. And people don't change very easily. But who knows, maybe you'll meet someone soon and she/he can bring a little light to your world. Try to stay strong and I know it's hard but please don't lose hope. There will be better days for sure, trust me. ♡

    I am recognizing that for many years I have been very depressed. I too cried through much of this. I have been ill for 45 years, in a rough marriage for 25 years, and lost my entire family, my dog, several really good friends, had to move over 5 times in 10 years. I need to heal.     To anyone in the comments who needs to be reminded, you matter. Sometimes it's hard to remember, sometimes it's even harder to love yourself. It's okay to be sad, and it's okay to be depressed. You are allowed to feel negative feelings. But this is a reminder that you really, really matter to this world and you deserve to be loved. You deserve to love yourself.

    The only thing that kept me from breaking down today was that i bought a homeless guy who was eating on the sidewalk a waterbottle. He reached out his hand because he could barely speak and shook my hand. Poor fella. Hope you all are okay, here from jersey.

    My depression has been ongoing for 2+ years because I haven’t been able to get health insurance yet, but I am starting to see the end and getting insurance next month. This video was helpful. I hope all you who feel like I do see the end to it as well. Between the suicide prevention counselors and things like this I’m still here.

    Meditation only started working for me when I hit rock bottom and got sick of what depression had done to my life, but from the comments it seems that a lot of people here didn't have to reach that point before trying to improve themselves.       Yes i'm doing better now because I moved back to my old place/home. I lived on my own in a apartment for 4 months but that maked me really depressed and gave me my OCD back because I wasn't happy there.

    This video had me crying I have been going through so much it was time to be compassionate with myself. Some of the things are not my fault and hopefully I am meant for greater things. I lost my job after I had a accident and I am still recovering. All of my goals had to be set to the side and also my life its hard to have severe anxiety and depression. This audio helped so much. This darkness will pass.

    thank you so much for this. i randomly clicked on it, and this is something i didn’t know i needed🙏🏾. i cried almost half the video but it helped, i actually felt peace and my mind felt quiet for once. usually it feels like my mind is racing 24/7, and just cluttered with random thoughts and stuffbut listening to this laying down with my eyes closed made everything go away. i was finally clear headed, might have to re-listen to this🙏🏾🖤.

    I had to stop halfway because I suddenly felt scared that by “washing away” my depression I was simply delaying the inevitable. That it would come back and all I’ve done is put a blanket on top of it.
    Logically I know that feeling calm and at peace wouldn’t invalidate my pain. Just because I feel better now doesn’t mean I didn’t suffer… But the fear is still there.
    But I also left it running in the background and the calming music and voice helped me a little bit. Thank you.

    I’ve been going through some depression lately. And I’ve found that doing these meditations help soooo much! Every time the meditations finished, and I see the green screen at the end, I feel as happy as ever. Like I have a fore's field of happiness around me. Thank you for making this meditation. It helped me and prevented me from harming or harming other people from my sadness!

    What hurts even more is your family doesn’t believe you and they think your depression is too dramatic. I’ve had 3 suicidal thoughts so far.

    i thought i was doing fine…at least much better than before, trying to work on myself and forgive myself, but today was just a really emotional day, i cried for hours even though i tried to calm down my tears just couldn’t stop…
    During this meditation i tried to hold back my tears and clear my mind but even without realising i was already crying again…and when i heard the words “you are not alone” i felt comforted. Its been a while since i heard those words.

    I haven't meditated in a long time. Been a couple of years. Going through a divorce, got played buy someone else. I really lost myself this past year. My main goal is to find love within myself and to not look for self worth in others. I'm only 22 and it's already been a tough journey for me, but I know that's what life is about now. Feel the pain, but have room in my heart for the good. I'll be alright.

    I had never been a meditating person. But few days I've tried these videos. And I have experienced something out of this world. It's like during meditation I go into this sort of peaceful place that I do not have to forcefully imagine. It just comes right up. It's like a green place with morning mist or a place in comfy home where there is breeze and in that moment I'm fully aware of my surroundings also and I'm there also. It's like I'm not distracted but I'm also in a place full of peace. It's surely a different experience which I cannot describe but it's true that in that moment I can feel each and every part of my body and my mind is just fresh as a daisy. No wonder people talk about meditation so much!

      The good thing is that regular meditation can actually bring this sense of peace into your life when youre not meditating. It takes time though as the connections in your brain strengthens after each session but trust the process and eventually your "waking life" will be almost as peaceful as when youre meditating.
      (Im not a professional/expert in this subject but have done alot of research on this topic. It would take 10 hours to explain everything but that^ is a summary of a particular effect of daily meditation)

    I usually have cold and clammy hands all day. After doing this meditation they finally became dry and warm again as a side effect. Thanks, I'll definitely be saving this one.

    I am experiencing depression tinnitus and migraine at the same time. It is so hard to focus on meditation. I cried a lot before meditation and even at the start of the meditation but I stop crying at the middle of the meditation. Anyway thanks a lot for this video it helped me a lot. I stop crying.

    I started this meditation not thinking it was going to help much but about halfway through I put my pride aside and lowered my walls and I started to feel all of the fear and self doubt slip away I was able to think about the people in my life that love me unconditionally and always have my back.     I've been listening to this channel's different kind of meditations. Right now,I could tell that they really take into consideration every meditation they will make. In other meditation videos they have many words in the middle of the meditation to guide us,but in this video about depression they just guide us ,not much words because I think they knew that every single one of us have a lot of words and situation in our heads and they walk us to be patient with us by saying less words.

    This video really helps me. Just had a huuuge meltdown. In the moment during the meltdown, you have to kind of rely on some inner strength to get you through it (surprised I can even still do that) cant even focus on the video but after the fact when you're exhausted and sad, this reeeally really helps. I feel like I can breathe again and the heaviness has been lifted a little. Thank you!

    In this moment, I am not depressed, but going through SOOO much at this time. I love all of these and do them daily. This one almost brought me to tears.     I made it about 3/4 of the way through before having enough and turning it off.

    Thank you for this meditation, i struggled with depression for a long time, I recently had a relapse in depression since i stopped my antidepressants 2 and a half months ago. i restarted it and it's been about 3 weeks now. I do feel more concentration but still feel very depressed. This really helped. Depression feels so isolating, like i'm the only one in the world that feels like this. desperate, painful to be awake and know that you can't snap your fingers and it's gone. I am however hopeful that this will get better it did before and i lived thru it.
