Ha ha, I’m me younger days did same thing. 8x10, northern Ontario. Wed stay right on the ice for weekend. Bunch times propane wouldn’t work, that means -40+. As a plumber I’m always carrying my pliers and screw driver, so I was able to replumb the tanks to be inside. Beer would freeze in yiu hands even if we had beer koozies on them, but caught lots fish and had lots beers. Kinda miss it actually.
Nice shack. If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost of the panels as well as the cost of the total build? I am planning to build a new shack in the next year or two and would like to build something to this
@@401Adventures we aren't 100% sure, never had it on a scale but I can tell you it's lighter than most wood framed ones this size. Can pull it with a small 400 ATV.
@ that’s awesome as I’ve been considering building a light weight tiny house that can be pulled by a car and was wondering about using those foam panels on an aluminum frame

Love that shack. Reminds me of "Grumpy Old Man", course you'd have to be the younger version of Walther Mathau🙂
🤣 thanks for watching!
What a beautiful way to close a video!
@@thomask4836 couldn't agree more!
Pretty nice setup. Do something with your stove before you burn the place down. Wood around it really?
We added a metal ring! 🔥
Very nice job on the shack and the fishing! Had to SUB.
Awesome thanks for the support!

@@eddygoodwin7089 I can't remember, it's been a couple years. Thanks for watching
@ cool thanks
What sonar is that attached to the ammo can??
@@djelemental612 thats my Deeper smart sonar bobber. I use it year round, super cool device. I have other videos on it! Check it out.
what catch covers are those?
@@FL4Tsti they are by a company called catch covers lol
@JoelTremblayCA nice. I just bought the same exact covers so I can use buckets.
How much in total to build this and how much ice is recommend for this structure ?
I'm not sure how much we have into it, kinda lost track lol. We typically wait till at least 12-14" of ice.
do you eat any of the fishes you catch?
We certainly do! On this lake though, there is a size limit and a number limit of how many fish you can keep to eat.
what's the weight of your ice shack
