What a beautiful job y’all have done on your ice house the only thing I can see that would make it look better is to paint the underneath of your bunk.
A tip for permanent shacks if you are going to keep it on the lake put blocks under so it doesn’t freeze cuz I did that and I lost it in the water bc couldn’t get it freed
The gennie came in clutch! lol. You could also think about a small wind turbine that trickle charges the Jackery at night. They're pretty cheap these days. Most only need 5-6mph wind to work. Just check the temperature rating on them if you do go that way. Combined with solar panels and a 48v system (2 batteries), it could remove the need for a generator, but keep the gennie handy. Just like camping or going to a place on your holidays, it will take a couple of trips for you to get a good idea of what other gear you want, the best layout and use of space etc. So far it's looking pretty damned good in there. Enjoy lads!
Add some foam sheet insulation underneath the top bunk. Use an inflatable sleep mat along with memory foam on the cot. That is what I do when I am sleeping in a cot.
Looks like your ice shack is working out great. Catching fish, eating, and staying warm, what more can you ask for. Hopefully not too many fixes are required after the first trip. Did a nice job.
You might want to add a vented heater unvented heaters produce a lot of moisture when it’s cold, ceilings, and walls. Will get condensation on them. I put an unvented heater in my first FISH HOUSE bad idea.. I approve this message…
Greatest name for an ice shack ever. Not going to lie, every time someone referred to the shack as the BBC, I giggled a little and said to myself..."he said BBC" 😆😆 Congrats guys, Keep up the great work !!!
Not sure if that type of heater is vented, but with four of you in the shack sleeping, I'm concerned for your carbon dioxide levels in the shack. You might want to consider a ceiling vent, they also let moisture out. It would be a shame to lose you guys as my fall and winter entertainment up here. Great videos!
Catch and release panfishing bums me out. I love eating fish and don’t get to go as much as I’d like. But good job boys! Then the end comes with the bucket. Hahahhah weeee hoooooo!!!
I've always been told to not leave your shake connection to the vehicle, as if the truck for whatever reason went through it won't take the house with it. Odds are slim but it's possible
But I will say I do like the house. Don't know if you saw my other comment, but good idea is to put wood blocks under the frame so it's not directly on the ice makes it much easier to lift if sitting for extended time
The paid advertisements during the video is remind me of the live TV shows from the 70s and before. You did a great job Johnny 7:54 no need for the Shake Weight 💦
Best ice fishing vid I've seen this season, amazing what pride of ownership can do for your soul, saw it loud and clear.
🤟🏻
I'm a person who uploads videos with a camping car in Korea. The quality of the video is really good.
Thank you for the video.
You’re welcome

You don’t need blocks. It will be just fine

When lowering the house always lower the front down first and then the back. Then when raising it always start with the back then do the front last

I really care what goes in my body , then proceeds to eat nothing but processed foods...😆

Can you review the Jackery? How did it do powering the lights and oven? How long did it last? What was your backup plan?
I think if you ever make another fish shack think about using light materials.
Wondering where u got that flip out couch or if anyone knows where I can get one like that.
It’s called a jack knife couch
Thanks mindack for the vid I'm 14 years old and hoping to do this!!
