If you're not going to release the fish kill it quick and put it out of its misery. You tossed the fish in the snow and it has feelings too. A slow freeze and hypothermia takes time before death.

When I was younger I use to hate when a older person would say "When I was a kid....". Not that I am....... Over 45(ish)......... I find myself saying the same phrase. Lmao While I dont camp any more, I do miss it, and it is kinda fun to watch others adventure out.

Never drive off the ice with your set belt on.. from experience ice was 2ft thick, snow covered northern Michigan, the truck hit a ice shaney hole, not covered? in 34ft of water, we thought they all went down with the truck.. then few seconds later, one popped up.. then another, few min.. long seconds later, the drive had his set belt on that all most did him in, we new them all, he said it was the hardest thing ever to get the belt to release, it was around 10ft down he said, the onky thing you could see was the bummer it git caught on the ice, tail light's stayed on for several weeks, they got it out in the springtime,

I moved to MN from MD back in '87... I was riding with a friend I made out here the first winter and without announcing it he drove down a boat launch and out onto Baker Lake. I opened the door and jumped out. He stops the truck and gets out - we both stared at each other for a minute thinking the other one suddenly went crazy.

Dude, you’re truly making me want to sell my house that I just paid off and get a nice travel trailer, a newer Land Rover to tow it and hit the road. Just to experience the freedom of traveling the country and seeing everything at Little cost… fishing, camping, getting out into the wilderness and just experiencing the wonderful life I lived as a kid that I haven’t experienced since. I love to watch people enjoy nature, exploration, and living, simply off the land. Only a small percentage of people anymore have the privilege or know how to do so.
In any case, keep enjoying this life to its fullest. Treat every day as a gift and a blessing. Enjoy every second of every moment. And as I always say: live life every day like it’s your last… Love like it’s your first.

I was ice fishing on Lake of the woods in Minnesota several years ago. We were 12 miles out on the lake and we had 8 inches of snow dumped on us. We were nice and toasty in the fish house
you need to kill the fish fast not torture the fish in the cold
I've only been ice fishing a few times and I froze my butt off. I've never seen a trailer like you have but that would make ice fishin so much more enjoyable

Looks like you could use a 12-volt electric blanket. I've had one I've been using from 08 they're fantastic. !!!!! And I think the only draw like 96 watts.

I live in Tower, MN ...... I remember what storm your talking about since I plow..... But come on lol 20" isn't that much it's a big storm, but far from terrifying..... If there indeed was no snow on the ice it was the first big storm.....Your not a true Minnesota if your not a little bit excited...... terrifying storms don't come until April when you want the snow and ice to be gone....,
