@@saugatdutta4095 I used LG Tone free FN7 and the difference is not that noticeable, but when I bought the Airpods Pro the quality is quite noticeable especially with the spatial audio! So I guess it depends on the earbuds you use… I switched from spotify to apple music because of the quality and some artist I like that are not on spotify but Spotify’s algorithm is unmatched in my opinion so now I use them both lmao
You switched at a good time. The sound quality has always been good, but they implemented lossless audio this year, so I don’t even miss my CDs anymore.

I have a 1T Hi-Res and Lossless music Catalog on iTunes on an old Mac mini. Can you explain what is happening when you convert from iTunes To Apple Music (bought new Mac mini). Is it downloading your actual MP4 and AIFF files to the cloud ? And if you download an album to your phone for a Plane flight (From your library), but then later delete a downloaded album from your phone, does it also delete the actual file from your computer hard drive where the original file resides ? Thanks TTA, I get it now. My music journey is almost exclusively within my library so I've not used Spotify or Tidal because they give you music like what you asked for but not actually what you asked for (if I'm wrong here it's because I'm stuck in my ways and haven't kept up with the times - I try!). It looks like Apple Music will give me my library which is great but it also has all those other features for which I'd be paying $10.99 a month but not using. So you can see my problem. I'm not into "Hey, music is music, who cares about artists?". That's a bit harsh but sort of gets the point across. Anyway I just Bluetooth my library to the car and cruise along. I'm not a Luddite, just picky but I do add to the library when I hear somebody great - like Adele or Billy Strings (yeah, I'm 'way behind the times). Cheers and play safely.
Failed on first tips. SongShift say my Sync Library isn't enabled - which it is. And yes, I use the correct Apple ID. And no, there is no Sync Library-setting on the iPhones Music-app - only on the desktop-version, but I presume this is a global setting connected to my AppleID? The SongShift GUI has changed since this tutorial is recorded, so jump in and make a new version :).

Apple Music made me an audiophile. First taste of 24bit/96kHz audio streaming and there was no going back to cd's. At home from my iMac [via TosLink optical cable] to Samsung surround sound cd/dvd home theater system or in the car. With Apple's proprietary Lightning to 30Pin adapter cable [complete with built in DAC], even my 2009 Mercedes Harman Kardon 5.1 surround sound audio system catapulted past sensational cd quality when Hi-Res Lossless tracks streamed directly from my 14 ProMax through the onboard OEM iPod jack.

Hi David, I'm David. I'm trying to create new public playlists searchable across the Apple platform (not just to ppl w my info) while changing my current playlists to private.
Apple Music drives me insane because I use it mostly for my physical collection but it doesn't properly support multi-disc releases. The metadata for each CD includes a disc number. Every other bit of music software honours this disc number so that tracks are played in the right order - disc 1 and then disc 2 etc. Apple music completely ignores it so every music CD that has more than one disc alternates the tracks on each disc (track 1 disc 1, then track 2 disc 2 etc) making it impossible to play the CDs in the right order unless you artificially use a program like mp3Tag to give each disc its own unique title (which then doubles up the number of 'albums' you have to wade through). This is beyond lame and means I listen to music on my Sonos system rather than iPhone most of the time. How hard would it be to get this right?
So.... I bought a $1,000 phone (without a charger) and there isn't an app that will just play local files? I have to upload them to some cloud service and stream them? WTH is up with that? This is my first Apple device and apparently they are control freaks. I don't buy music. I mix and master client music and I need to listen to it on my mobile phone with playlist ability. Will someone please solve this (ridiculously stupid) issue?

Apple Music is fantastic but let me provide a couple pro tips 1-Lossless and Hi-Res Lossless should only be used. Do not use high quality because it is actually low quality and anybody with a good ear can tell the difference 2-For anybody who wants to increase the sound quality for only $9 go out and purchase the Apple 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter. It includes a built in DAC(digital to audio converter) and notice how the sound quality with improve slightly
That DAC is not good enough for Hi-Res. You need to spend more than 10 dollars to get a suitable DAC. The video doesn't make it clear that your headphones must be wired to properly listen not lossless audio.
@@rickd438 I learned that the DAC cannot support hi-res. For my money the $10 DAC can support lossless without having to spend a lot of money for expensive headphones that are wired. Most users have their Apple earbuds and with this $10 DAC, you are set with lossless and up to 24/48. Very, very reasonable and affordable

Can't use Bose Soundtouch with apple music, can't sync lights with Phillips Hue .... i'm ok with Spotify.
