Never could stand the shape of the Viper mice, can't use them.. GPX Superlight is the goat for a reason. Small, but safe shape.
Hi (btw sorry for bad english), i would want to known your hand measurements (and your prefered mouse), also i cant decide to pick between picking up a g502x (wired), a glorious i2, and also the basilisk v3 (wired). the thing is also a rocket jump ninja page sugested me the pulsar x2h mini (i have 18.1 cm x 9.3cm hands), but i don't known if im gonna like a symmetric mouse with less buttons, actually im using the g502 hero but i consider it too heavy (i grip like a palm but kinda claw). I could be very grateful if you give me a answer or a recomendation.
@The Techne please help! I`ve been searching for a mouse that has the side buttons a bit behind, currently I have the Superlight and it fits perfect in my hand and I love it, but it is impossible with my grip to access side button 5 (without changing my grip, during gaming it`s annoying to do that),(the one towards the front). I keep purchasing mice and returning them...if you have one in mind that has the same measurements like the superlight but the side button a bit behind, please let me know. Thank you.
Great video. I was just comparing the two mice yesterday and you can definitely see where Razer took some creative inspiration from logitech. I don't think it is a killer either because of how loyal a lot of ppl are to the GPX. Personally I absolutely love the new Viper V3, its been amazing. That all being said, I would also be curious to know how many ppl that main the Viper V2 are pissed off about the changes to the mouse, because for me it was a night and day difference in feel between V2 and V3.
Strange but I felt the Viper 3 felt slightly grippier than the superlight, but I've been comparing to the superlight 2. Both such incredible mice, and the difference is so small between the two. I do slightly prefer the Viper v3 however. Note the super light's optical switches do ease up a little over time, but agreed they're too much and feel cheap. The Viper3's are better but I still prefer the mechanical of the Viper3 Hyperspeed. Oh well!
Yeah it’s a weird mix, the viper is wider, but the gpros hump is bigger.
Techne, did you see the new (roccat, turtlebeach) updated kone, aimo mice series? I know you liked these mice. How about a fresh review on them?
these mice are out for pre-order but not yet released, they gonna be shipping mid may or something, there's obviously a review embargo since there are zero reviews out there for both the Burst II and the Pure Air... I think is dumb but surely reviews are coming out eventually
@@patkluivert4110 we'll have to wait.
So excited for these updated versions to arrive

Superlight 2 battery life is 104h.
I’ve had the super light 1 for a few months now and I have to agree with you on those side buttons. Just horrible horrendous super squishy side buttons.
They are so bad
@@TheTechne I’ve always seemed to misclick them during online matches. I think I’ve pressed them but they don’t trigger because I didn’t put enough pressure on them. It’s infuriating.
Is it better than Viper Signature? I mean specs, and everything
gpx2 with pulsar supergrip tape, tiger ice skates, sky pad. best combo have ever used and have tried so many mice
So a store has a deal on the gpx for 100 eur and the viper comes in at 150 eur. Been using razer maba wireless 2018 for the last 6 years, should I grab the GPX as that's quite the price difference?
The viper outperforms the Gpx
I think the tapered front makes the Viper V3 larger in hand as your left side finger and pinky are forced more in that direction. I prefer that as it allows for more control in my relaxed palm grip.
Techincally the Viper is superior and has better stock feet but at the end of the day shape is most important as if if doesn't fit your hand or playstyle or even game, it doesn't matter what sensor or hardware its packing.
Idk which one to buy between deathadder v3 pro and superlight I use crawl grip mostly i want to buy a wireless mouse it can be different mouse too if you guys can reccomend
The newer batches of the gpx2 have really really good clicks, they are not heavy at all anymore. Mine (white version, batch 2403) are almost as light as the gpx1. These extremely heavy clicks seem to be a thing of the early batches.
Now I wanna try one
Either way the strong click wears down overtime (my experience with the gpx2 so carry) I like the strong click tbh. Feels like a real, expensive click.
There is one thing I would like to point out that i don't see many reviewers mention about the middle mouse wheel on the GPRO superlight. You can click the middle mouse button from the side. Sliding your primary left click finger into the side of the mouse wheel registers as a click, and is a HUGE timesaver as i don't have to lift my finger to hit middle mouse button. I don't know how many mice do it as nobody mentions it, I only know this after owning the superlight and its a gamechanger for me.
Techne mentions it as a speed bump in this review over the razor, but doesn't mention that's a feature of the superlight to register a middle button click. Can anyone confirm if the razor has this side click function on the middle mouse wheel?
Nice tip. This is great.
For me personally owned the VMSE really love the materials and weight but the size and shape is not my cup of tea, owned superlight before but never liked the software compared to razers (and the polling rate as well), so once i saw this and the new shape looked similar to superlight and the size as well, can’t wait to get this to my hand!
my gpx 2 is getting here tomorrow, but I wanted to see how rival mice compared, and this video was really informative. Personally upgrading from the g pro wireless, I feel more at home going for the new gpx
the GPX is tried and true, you can never go wrong with one. I don't think anything will ever truly replace it
love the coating on the RV3
The white and black Viper V3 Pro have different coatings. The white one is 1gram heavier but much grippier.
Will you be reviewing the sora v2??
Why? Isnt the viper v3 pro good enough?
@@rpns.3403 price
I have tested it a bunch. But not sure about coverage yet
@@rpns.3403different shape and size
Me still with my gpx1 since day one, waiting for a g703 superlight. And not the sprime, but the actual 703 size.
The superlight 2 is the real superlight killer.
My v3p is arriving today and really excited for it
I couldn’t stand the SL2, but I use to use the original GPW, and the first Superlight just felt more like home
lucky!! :O my Razer Viper V3 Pro doesn't arrive until Monday the 29th of April lol (I'm from BC, Canada)
@zZDOOMZDAYZz I was surprised this morning for sure. Ordered it launch day and shipped from Hong Kong. Was still in Hong Kong when I went to bed. And woke up this morning to out for delivery in Utah
@@Meltdowncloud1 that’s insane!! I also ordered it on Launch Day as-well! I ordered the black one, did you order the black one or the white one?!
I prefer the Harpe Ace
I have smaller hands, i could never stand the g pro superlight, so i got lamzu atlantis mini, that felt ok, but a bit too small. so i got the viper v3 pro today, feels perfect for my small hands, the shape does it all, g pro is just as you said it, egg shaped, and feels weird, while viper v3 pro makes my hand feel at home. Hopefully it lasts long, time will tell!
yeah the hump on the gpro is noticeable, but the v3 is wider. I also prefer the v3
I heard the coating of the white viper v3 pro feels so much better. Are you gonna test it ?
Yeah I heard Boardzy say that also. I have no plans to cover the white one
I recieved my white v3p just 2 days ago and i dont think the coating felt all that sticky. Boardzy said that his was a early reviewer unit bought from ebay and the retail version might not have that coating and i think this is the case.
Because honestly i bought the white one hoping for a grippier coating but its honestly pretty slick in my opinion.
But in my experience with white mice the coating gets grippier over time because of sweat etc. So i'll have to see after more use
@@doggofvyeah that’s what I was thinking
@@TheTechne got my white one today feels a lot more grippier compared to my black v2pro and white dav3
What is the best mouse for palm grip ?
On my copy the left and right buttons feels kinda weird- it’s like heavy - mushy and crisp at the same time. Anyone with that problem ?
Might be the opticals, and that slight bounce at the end of the buttons. Does this happen when pressing up further on the 1&2?
Yeah is the same ish
If the GPX 2 is too awkward for me but the viper v2 pro is really comfortable, will i like the V3??
my video today will be perfect for you ;)
@@TheTechne oh...looking forward to it

I went from the original gpx to the gpx 2, and i gotta say i love the switches so much more, no double clicking, im unsure if the scroll wheel will be good after a while cause i know that used to be an issue on the original gpx, but just for the clicks and polling rate superlight 2 is an amazing pickup if youre willing to get a new mouse, but probably not fully necessary if u already have a superlight 1 and dont have extra cash to burn...
Which would you say is better viper v3 pro or the sora v2?
Viper v3
To answer your question yeah youre crazy about the coating lol the v3 pro like glues itself to my hand where at the gpro I always have to adjust my grip
I just want a wireless white mouse in this shape since my v2 pro wheel is YET AGAIN BROKEN... and gpx2 is nice but that price is terrible.
I've used the VP3 for probably 20 hours and it's awesome. The clicks are crisp and the buttons have zero play. ZERO. Probably the best mouse Razer has ever released in terms of quality (Not counting the Viper Mini SE). Feels good to be back on the Viper family of mice. My mouse history is Deathadder -> Mamba Elite -> G303 -> Viper Ultimate -> G303 SE -> Viper Pro 3.
It is all about shape, if the viper 3 can lock your grip in a little more then it's prob better. Super lite pill is just too safe. razer = coating better , logitech= build better. I prefer the DAv3 but wold be interested to try this mouse because the skates are what i wish the DAv3 had
110% agree 👍
Teche, Should I get the V3 Pro or settle for the V3 Hyperspeed?
just get the v3 pro lol
🤑
@@stonie8629 I want to but I have a Dareu A950 Pro i'm using right now lol
Pro
@@TheTechne Thanks Brotha!. I'll pIck it up this weekend.
Such a tough call for me. I was more tempted for superlight 2 because of the qol of the charging dock. Slapping it onto the dock at the end of the day. Viper v3 pro seems all around more appealing. Unless superlight 3 is just simply better.
Logi needs to drop a SL3 now
Which one is better Viper V3 Pro or Deathadder V3 Pro?
different mice for sure, but I pick the DA
The controversy of the Superlight side buttons reminds me to the controversy over the magazine release on 3rd gen Glock pistols.
People would complain about how hard they need to manipulate their thumb in order to reach the magazine release, to which Glock engineers would rightfully point out the magazine release was made that way on purpose, so as to make it less likely to accidently hit the magazine release during an inconvenient time.
With that out of the way, I'm sure an engineer at Logitech can give one the, well, logic, behind the side button design, with more area to rest one's thumb being a readily noticeable reason.
As for the 3rd gen Glock pistols, Glock acquiesced and made the release larger on later iterations, but they also made the release stiffer so they could still achieve the goal they were going for with the 3rd gen release design, which is being harder to press on accident.
I don't think there's any real reason for going less than 60 grams. I really do like my GPX1. All around solid mouse. I been working through different mice so I can keep this one alive for as long as I can. Come back to it now, n again. I just don't think the GPX2 is worth the money for the upgrade. More of a sidegrade, and if that's the case then might as well try new things. Right?
By the looks of it, for me Razer Viper V3 Pro is a better shape. Also quality wise I'm not fond of the Logitech G Pro X 2 Superlight. I had issues with 2 copies. 1 from release and 1 latest batch. It seems like Logitech's quality is on a downhill trend.
I use the superlight never used anything else 🤷♂️ dunno if there’s anything better?
If you don't use anything else you won't know brotha. But if that mouse works for you just fine, then no need.
I just need a large Superlight!
The Techne, Your thoughts on the death of Roccat(Rocket) Brand, and Replacement with Turtle Beach?
I know Turtle Beach has owned them for a while, and I know that TB will continue to use the same manufacturing Techniques that Roccat (Rocket) has developed over the Years.
But it just isn't the same and for me it's sad to see them go.
I f ucking LOVED the Tiger Logo & Name! If Turtle Beach had Sativa Leaves instead of Palm Trees, I would consider it a Fair Exchange 😅 🍻
I agree, sad to see them go away. But I totally understand it, as TB has a much much bigger name that Roccat on the store shelves. many of the console gamers moving over to PC will easily relate and recognize it
What do you think of the Ninjutso Sora v2?
Solid, been testing it for some time now
As a laptop user viper v3 is unusable due to them not using a normal dongle like every other wireless mouse in the world uses
I have a laptop and the dongles work fine??
The gpx is not a lot smaller than the viper
U notice the it being thinner, and the gpro hump
Logitech might need to catch up with the times but the techne is already with it
Love your videos but using the original superlight really makes this video worthless. I do think the viper v3 pro is better than the superlight 2 but this video is comparing a much older product.
This was a minor misstep, but please don't make it a habit to choose your favorite product and forget the market favorite ("best competitor") or your videos will lose a lot of value. If you want to compare all 3 that's fine.
I understand you don't like the optical switches on the superlight 2, many people love them and RTings shows they are slightly superior compared to the older version.
I see your point for sure, and appreciate the feedback. But at the core, they are the same. It’s really shape. Even in my gpro 2 vid, I said stick with the og Superlight.
PS: I also considered and thought about your exact point before making this vid.
And my final straw was, if I didn’t like and more importantly use the GPSL2, it would not be fair for me to compare them. I always prefer to cover products and especially comparisons to what I actually use and can truly speak on.
But again, seriously I truly do appreciate the constructive criticism ❤🤝
Vernier caliper
viper v3 vs deathadder V3 pro?
very diff mice, but a great combo
Logitech just make the damn g502 and g703 superlight already
I can't decide between these 2
Viper V3 Pro if u like slightly wider mice, gpro for thinner.
V3 pro is pretty mid not gona lie. The battery is bad. You have to open the app every time. You have to hold the button to turn off the mouse. The shape is pretty big making it a little less comfortable and I have pretty big hands. You're buying it for the best sensor but there is a micro lift problem with the mouse right now. Also, the sensor is only like 5 to 10 percent better than the superlight and superlight 2 but it's not really "working" like that 100% of the time.
i don't want either of these after getting the sora v2. i am good, endgame good😊
Im getting my sora v2 in a few days and can’t wait
@@arc4863 mine has been a pleasure so far. they weight on glass just feels so good.
Are you chinese? sora v2 is a copycat product
@@davshan8482 obviously i am the most german Chinese on the internet. what did they copycat?
@@michaelschwarz5907 The scroll wheel and side buttons of sora v2 are copied from Gpro wireless, and the shape is copied from Endgame Gear XM1.
And Ninjutso is a Chinese company, but "Ninjutso" and "sora" are Japanese words, they mean "ninja grass"(?) and "sky". Maybe they want people to think they are a Japanese company
It's 2024, the SL2 is out and you're comparing the V3PRO vs the original SL? Why?
I love my gpx
The GPX is SO over rated. I own all the top tier mice and the gpx is literally at the bottom of my list. The Viper v3 pro is literally better in every way. Shape button feel side buttons are 10x better no joke. Even the grips it comes with are better. lol
Gpx 2 has better switches than the razer. And its cheaper. The razer optical switches are really bad
Definition of talking out of one's ass

Why are optical switches a trend again? It’s like somewhere some reviewers wanted these things as the latest “it” thing and I don’t see the full point. Prevents double clicking? Sure. But listen to how awful that click sound is on the Razer. That’s loud as hell compared to a mechanical switch. That’s not even comparing how stiffer the clicks are.
I have mechanical mice like last few finalmouse and a couple optical like dav3 and this viper v3 pro. The clicks and feel of the opticals on these are nice, and the functionality of never having double clicks is the most important.
FIRST
Idk why Razer stopped making the Razer Mamba series. It was so much better than this in terms of design imo. The buttons continued seamlessly to the edges, the RGB strips with the glow logo really added to the aesthetics of the mouse, plus the DPI adjustment buttons were right at your fingertips at the top. It was their best design for a mouse so far imo.
Rgb in mices is a biggest dumb thing imo
@@paulino58 thanks for your opinion
Thanks for your too@@BelieveIt123
@@paulino58 In reality it is nonsense in almost everything, the only thing you see in the end is the screen or your setup from afar, perhaps the mouse does not cause a great visual impact if it does not have RGB but the rest does, but is the rest of rgb still necessary? It's more for external aesthetics, it's nice to see, nothing more than that, it seems to me that the only LED that is more useful than aesthetic is the one on the keyboard, in case you use it at night
The Mamba Elite box it came it was ELITE. Although fuck that mouse. I bought two of them and they both started double clicking within a year or two
thank you
