Sure no one is perfect but when you go to 9 SB in 24 years with a franchise and win 6 of those SBs on top of being a assistant for another Szb appearance in 96 with the Pat's! As well as winning 2 SBs while orchestrating the defenses behind 2 defenses that both can be considered in the top 10 defense of all time and that carried their teams to SB wins! Bill Parcells has even credited Belichick with being the master mind strategist that was behind the gameplans that shut down the 49ers Montana/Walsh and Redskins Joe Gibbs, Bills KGun offenses on their way to 2 SB runs! Everyone pretty much credits Parcells as beingba great motivator as a HC but behind every great run of success that Parcells had Belichick was the mastermind behind him! So ya that's extreme nitpicking if you ask me! A coach that played a major role in a total of 12 SBs and won 8! A coach that was behind the biggest SB upset of all time in 2001 SB vs the Rams! Built a defense and gameplan that held the Greatest Show on Turf to just 17 points! An Offense that was held to under 21 points only a total of 3 times in 3 years prior to that SB!
The documentary focused too much on Brady, Bill, and Kraft. It was team effort. I wanted them to talk about all the components that made those teams so special. Yes, there was tension. All great teams have tension. But so many voices were left out.
He intentionally sabotaged Super Bowl 52, that doesn't change the fact he's the greatest coach in NFL history.
It wasnt all brady, belichick was very resourceful for many years.....i will never forget what both of them did for my favorite team

what coach hasn’t made mistakes? don’t knock the fact that these new young players aren’t going to be coached and disciplined the way bill does it. a lot of these players are ego driven and bill isnt going to put that over the team.

A large majority of teams in the league would be happy with those records! None of which are bad seasons tho up until this last season! Also Bill wanted to bring back Patricia this season but it was the Krafts that stepped in and hired Bill O'Brian! All season long you could see the tension between Belichick and O'Brian as well as the disconnect between Belichick and the offense due to their issues with one another! Personally the Krafts lost me as a fan and as sad as it for me to say it but lost me as a Pat's fans as I can't support a team thats owned by people who couldn't have been any more unappreciative of a coach that won 6 SBs and went to 9 SBs! I was a Pat's fan before Bill, before Brady and after Brady but not after what they did to Bill! I still have a Beldsoe jersey i gotas a little kid remember watching the go the the SB in 96' and losing to Farve who I absolutely hated! Shit I don't even have a Brady jersey not saying that I'm not a Brady fan but everyone in my family has multiple Brady jerseys lol I have a Law jersey, Gronk jersey and Edleman jersey lol Point being is the extreme lack of appreciation and disrespect the Krafts had to throw Bill out to curb after just one bad season is insane! No one mentions the fact that they lost their no.1 CB, No.2 CB and no.1 pass rusher just 4 weeks into the season! Any team was to lose all that alone would end up being in the bottom 5-10 defenses in the league! That's not including the fact the offense was last in the league under OBrian and way worse then it even was with Patricia a year ago! The fact the defense was still 18th in the league is a testament to Belichick being an unreal mastermind of a coach!

If no one cares bout DC rings ect then why would Belichicks 90' SB gameplan he wrote up be on display in the Hall of Fame in Canton? The gameolan was to use nickel 2-4-5 and dime 2-3-6 schemes that they hadn't used that whole season to stopnthe Bills KGun offense! Had one the greatest pass rushers of all time dropping back in coverage! Everyone knows Oarcells as being a great motivational coach but knows the brain behind those giants defenses was Belichick! Everyone also knows that the Giants offenses throught those years was trash! Especially the offense that won the 90' SB with one the worst backup QBs I'm the league! Jeff Hostetler literally only start 4 regular season games in 5 seasons prior to the 90s playoffs! The Giants held the Bears to 3 points in divisional round, the 49ers Montana/Walsh to 13 points and the Bill Jim Kelly Kgun offense (that scored 44 vs Dolohins and 51 vs Raiders going into the SB) to just 19 points! Everywhere Parcells went in which he had success Belichick was behind him and Parcells never won a playoff game in the 7 seasins he coached without Belichick on his staff! Anyone who knows their football history knows Belichick was the reason behind Parcells and the Giants success!
Greatest coach ever. If you look at a lot of the super bowls we won, Belicheck's defense played stellar. Look at the most recent one we won against the Rams, we held them to 3. This whole "was it Brady or Belicheck?!?" Is so corny and over-stated. Its like listening to people who think Lebron actually has any rings. Lockout/allen shot/kyrie shot/bubble.
He's not the greatest coach ever. Anybody could have won with his teams. The greatest coach ever is Pete Carroll. He had the Patriots competitive in the late 90s with comparable talent to the teams that got Belichick fired. Also, Pete Carroll won at multiple levels. He brought USC back to greatness and turned them into the undisputed team of the 2000s in NCAA football. He won with the Seahawks in spite of Russell Wilson and his salary demands. There will never be another coach like Pete Carroll who wins with coaching ability in spite of mediocre players.

I think GMs dont want to attribute potential success to Bill. They wanna be able to say "look at this coach i hired, he's successful because i gave him a chance." Any success a team has with Bill is going to attribute that to Bill more than the GM.

No new ideas, no innovation. In my assessment Bill Belichick is one of the finest coaches in NFL history. You can't take that away from him. He is also did himself no favors by not allowing outside ideas or innovation. He shut himself in a closet and never adapted. He is now getting exactly what he deserves. Correct. Brady walked into a situation ar tampa tailor made for him. Prime mike evans, prime Chris godwin, Prime shaq barrett, prime Lavonte david, really good offensive line. All tampa needed was a qb and boom superbowl. Roster was already stacked. You seen what happened his last year in tampa. Sacked a million times, injuries, players getting older, and roster changes.
Bill has his fair share of problems and honestly thats ok. However, no one can sit here and tell me that bill isn’t the greatest coach ever. His resume speaks for itself. There are asterisks, but the overwhelming majority of people say that he is the greatest. Players as well.
