    I think people buy too much into the narrative that Belichick was more responsible for the Patriots' success in Brady's early years, and that Brady became the more important party as time went on. In Brady's 2nd through 6th years as a starter, he finished 1st ,10th, 6th, 3rd, and 4th in the league in TD passes. Then he got Randy Moss and threw 50. He was basically a top starting QB statistically right from the get, it's just that no one was putting up the gaudy QB numbers people do today, so it appears like he was some kind of game manager when that wasn't the case. He put up good numbers and won 3 super bowls in 4 years. From basically any perspective he was an elite NFL QB right away. I'm not saying Belichick wasn't important to the Pats' success in those early years, I just think people discount the importance of Brady's contribution by a ton.

    For years there were rumors about how badly Belichick treated Brady. Brady was said to have taken the abuse by Belichick and then ran the offense the best he could. Brady was the middle man between Belichick and the rest of the offense. Once Brady left, there wasn't anyone there to absorb the abuse and the team pretty much fell apart.
    I won't say that Belichick wasn't a great coach, you don't go that many years with success without having some sort of genius. I think Brady did way more than people think when it came to Belichick and the rest of the team.

I personally think he's just a disgruntled old man thinking he's entitled to everything because he has those 6 SBs even though without the GOAT he has a hard time even making the postseason. But after letting Brady walk away, all his bad decisions had terrible consequences and the team went right down the toilet. I sometimes think about how if Bill was better at drafting and finding offensive players, Brady could have been even better. He hit on Gronk, but Edleman was pretty much the only good WR he ever drafted, and he was drafted in the 7th as a QB. Brady only got to play with Moss for 2 seasons, if he had a top 10 or 20 WR to play with for a 5+ year stretch his numbers would have been even crazier

      1. In 2000, the Pats played ten games against teams against teams with a winning record. The defense was 17th in the NFL in points allowed and 20th in yards allowed. Also, Bledsoe had no running game to speak of. The next year, the Pats added Seymour, Matt Light, and several other key players like Antowain Smith (who ran for 1,157 yards), David Patten, Bryan Cox, and Mike Vrabel. They played in only six games against teams with a winning record, and they were sixth in the league in points allowed.
      2. Brady played against tougher playoff competition than Mahomes. However, what the Brady lovers don't bring up is his free pass to the playoffs almost every year in the AFC Least.
      3. I don't see the Pats winning another SB even if Brady stays. That roster was on the decline. Tampa had a stacked roster, and Gronk and AB joined him down there. That's why they won the SB.

    I’ve never seen someone glaze on someone as much as Keyshawn does to Bill. It’s crazy!

      @@manalone1330 why would Tom Brady get ALL the credit?

    • @manalone1330
      @manalone1330 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @cedricbeard4609 because coaches don't take snaps or make plays or set the tone on the field.

      @cedricbeard4609 granted he may have drew the play up but who executes the play, who makes adjustments on the field etc.
