    Nice video. Laos is, indeed, a hidden gem in SE Asia. We retired from the US and moved to Laos beginning of 2023. There’s lots to see and appreciate, but takes time to get to know the various areas. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences!

    That hotel is so beautiful, with a European retro atmosphere!
    Their sandwiches are very similar to Vietnamese French sandwiches!
    Thank you for introducing Laos, a country we are not familiar with, you did a super great job! 👍🥰🙏

    Totally reminds me of when I was in Ho Chi Minh City when I visited the American War Museum and the after effects of what the Vietnamese went through during and post war. Very sad. Enjoy your travels.

    The UXO situation is sad and It’s nice you want to donate to the cleanup but I find it a little ridiculous to feel guilty over something the leaders of your country did before you were even born. Just because you were born an American doesn’t mean you have to take on the guilt for every horrific crime the US committed. Be better than the last generation that’s all you can do

    Lao really preserve the forest vibe. there capital city is very from what Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Jakarta looks like. when i vbeen to vientiane i was shocked that it feels like your in a rural village. very quite, underdeveloped and, backward life even in paying they dont have credit cards the facilities are not upgradable.

    Lao is actually top 15 poorest countries in the world along with african countries which has only $1,000 below gdp per capita. i been to their capital called vientiane and was just stayed for only 1 day since it has nothing much to offer it looks like a small community in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia or Philippines coz i been to these countries and These countries are way more developed compared to the rest of South East Asia except Singapore which is in another level.

    • @vientianetv7384
      @vientianetv7384 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Laos gdp per capita (per person) is in 137th place out of 200 countries, not the 15 poorest ...and in asean laos is in 7th place out of 10 countries, that is , higher than vienam,cambodia and burma....gdp per capita in 2018 is $2760 per person per year...and from 2019 , the economic decline of laos begins with high inflation until 2024, and gdp per capita was reduced to $1976 per year per person in 2024 and, accordingly ,is already in 149th place in the world

    • @vientianetv7384
      @vientianetv7384 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Do you know when the gdp of laos is 1000 dollars per person per year in what year? This was 2000, apparently you were talking about 24 year ago? Although in 2000 laos was not the 15 poorest countrier in the world ....perhaps in 1975 after the war, laos war the 5th poorest country in the world....if i were you, i wouldn't write in a comment if i didn't have the exact information...because any person can check the exact information from the documents that are available both in laos news and in mirvoy, they are all there if you look, well, of course , if a person doesn't want to be a fool who believes fakes from others and doesn't check them

    • @nielk799
      @nielk799 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@vientianetv7384 i dont really care about what you are saying the one thing is for sure and the world knows laos is just a village of china without china that feeds laos it would be nothing🤣 the highest debt in china is laos. laos is the 2nd smallest economy in SOUTH EAST ASIA just above timor leste. and its cities are looks like a small community in THAILAND, MALAYSIA, PHILIPPINES, INDONESIA and Vietnam. less developed and lack of infrastructures.

    • @user-sr9dd4vb8g
      @user-sr9dd4vb8g 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Is that bothering you? And you know what Lao don't waste their time for your stupid comments @nielk799

    • @vientianetv7384
      @vientianetv7384 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@nielk799 my answer:
      1- The world knows that Laos is just a Chinese village, without China feeding Laos, it would be nothing?
      Yes, Laos has a debt to China, but Laos has an external debt of only 75% of Laos’ GDP....unlike America which has an external debt of 117% of America’s GDP (almost 30 trillion dollars) and China is the largest donor to America, which means in your opinion America too just a Chinese village, like many countries in the world, including your country?
      2- Laos is the second largest economy in SOUTHEAST ASIA, just above Timor-Leste?
      Yes, you are right, Laos has less GDP than other ASEAN countries, but you forgot one thing... how much is the population of Laos? 7 million against almost 100 million population of each ASEAN country?
      rich and prosperous countries are not determined by the sum of a country's GDP, but by GDP per capita per person per year is determined...India has the second largest amount of GDP in Europe (5th place in the world) after Germany and India 3 times more than the amount of GDP of Switzerland and do you think that India is the richest country in Europe and richer than Switzerland? Do you know the population of India and the population of Switzerland?
      it’s like this Например: family A has 10 people and has 10 dollars, and family B has 2 people and has 5 dollars... my question to you is which family will have a rich life?
