      Christian Zionism is the tool used by the Edomite State of 'Israel' to brainwash Christians.
      Edom has stolen His land, as the Bible prophesied !
      "a tenth part" = 10%
      The Bible says that only 10% of the Southern Kingdom "Jews" would not be deported by the Assyrians. Jerusalem itself was that 10% - the other 90% disappeared into history along with the 90% of the Northern Kingdom.
      Where are these "lost" 90% of combined Israel to be found today ?
      The remnant 10% of Jerusalem "Jews" later went into Babylonian captivity for 70 years, and then returned to Jerusalem.
      At the time of Christ, Galilee had the 10% remnant of the divorced Northern Kingdom of Israel, and Jerusalem surrounds had the 10% remnant of the still married Judah.
      The overwhelming population of Palestine were of Edomite and other non-Israelite people.
      These two 10% remnants of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms of Israel, and the two 90% portions of "lost"/"dispersed" Israel - these "two sticks" have long since been joined into one "Christian" stick in His hand - as prophesied !
      "‭So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19)
      “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it:
      it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble;
      but he shall be saved out of it.
      For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
      But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.” (Jeremiah 30:7-9)

      “And the house of Jacob shall be a fire,
      and the house of Joseph a flame,
      and the house of Esau for stubble,
      and they shall kindle in them, and devour them;
      and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau;
      for the LORD hath spoken it.” (Obadiah 1:18)
      Soon, after being burnt out of the West, the Edomite State of 'Israel' will persecute the Christian minority within Jerusalem, as prophesied in the Bible, and then Edom will unite the East in a military invasion of the West.
      The Bible prophesies that when approaching the terrified West, they are suddenly startled by a supernatural threat rising up from the very land of Edom itself, and turn south to meet in the battle of Armageddon.

    • @toddstevens9667
      @toddstevens9667 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That verse does not address this issue. It simply says that anyone who belongs to Christ is Abraham’s seed and heirs. It’s a verse that makes it clear that Gentile believers have been grafted into Abraham’s good olive tree (to use Paul’s metaphor from Romans 11). But it does not address “the natural branches.” It tells us nothing about ethnic Israel. Paul’s argument in Romans 11 is that “the natural branches” have been blinded “until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in” (11:25). After that happens, “all Israel shall be saved.” And he specifically clarifies ethnic Israel shall be saved by saying “There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob” (11:26). In case we didn’t get the point, Paul goes on to explain that ethnic Israel are “enemies for your sakes” (referring to the Gospel), but “beloved for the fathers’ sake” (11:28). So Paul makes it clear that faith in Christ makes you Abraham’s seed and heirs to the promises, but he is also clear that there are “natural branches” that will, in the future, be unblinded and come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. That does not mean that every Jew will be saved or that we turn blind eyes to the current nation of Israel. But it does mean that there is still some sort of role for the natural Jews in the future. It also means that “the natural branches” are beloved “for the fathers’ sake,” even though eternal life will only come to those who trust in the Lord Jesus. But NT Wright is definitely wrong about many of the issues he addresses in this video.

    • @toddstevens9667
      @toddstevens9667 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@liquidh5226 Interesting question. First, if you don’t believe that, then you just don’t believe the Bible because that’s just a direct quote from Romans 11. If you don’t agree, then just admit that you don’t believe the clear teaching of scripture, then we can move on. Second, Romans 11 gives a time element to the promise. Once the fullness of the Gentiles be brought in then all Israel will be saved. And third, just follow Paul’s argument. It’s his point, not mine. The conclusion of his argument that he started way back in Romans 9:6 is found in
      Romans 11:30-32 ESV:
      “For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, [31] so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. [32] For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.”
      So that’s Paul’s point. It’s the whole point of Romans 9-11.

    While studying scripture, I was shocked to realize the current state of Israel in the Middle East did not fulfill Isaiah 66.8 (a nation born in a day) as we’re always told, the context (vv15-16) is speaking about the day of the Lord which coincides with the physical resurrection of the dead (‘born’ out of the land) which is further elaborated in 26.19. This did not happen in 1948.
    So if the state in the middle east isn’t biblical Israel, what is it?

      Let's rephrase the question and ask 'who is that Israel?'. The answer is none other than Jesus Christ, the true Israel and the offspring upon whom all the promises given to patriarchs is fulfilled. Thus, anyone, Jew or Gentile who is in Christ shares in the promises too. As His body they are the Israel of God, the kingdom of God, a peculiar people of royal priesthood offering living sacrifices through their lives.

    The whole problem with Reformed theology deals with replacement theology. That is the church replaces the Jews who rejected their messiah. Scripture is clear that the Gentiles were grafted into the chosen people the Jews not the other way around. The Abrahamic and Davidic covenants are unconditional, meaning God’s purpose will be fulfilled in spite of our lack of faith. So to reject the majority of the promises and prophecies related to Israel is to say that a vast amount of scripture is no longer important. Christ is coming for His people,both Jew and Gentile. The Jews will come to Jesus and recognize that He is their messiah. And the prophecies related to Israel will all be fulfilled. This is not metaphorical but reality. The problem with Reformed theology also deals with their interpretation of scripture. Whenever a text seems to go against their theology they say that it is metaphorical not literal. Anyway, so much to say about this, which I have studied deeply for MANY years, that a short paragraph here will not do any justice to these issues. Sorry Dr. Wright, I still can’t come around to your way of thinking, it just doesn’t add up in so many ways. Peace and Blessings.

      Yes there is a remnant of believers numbered out of the 12 tribes as seen in Rev 7 who do not take the mark and believe in Christ. Some take ‘all Israel will be saved’ out of context of Rom 9.6 where Paul says not all Israel is of Israel, showing that there is a fleshly Israel vs spiritual Israel just as there is an earthly vs heavenly Jerusalem. You must be spiritually reborn to see the kingdom of God (Jn 3.3), flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1Cor 15.50); Rom 2.28-29.

      Dispensationalism is a theology, that at its heart, teaches that God deals with people differently at different periods of history ("dispensations"). It is a wretched heresy that deprives Christians of hope and condemns millions to hell. It is the root of much popular christian teaching, especially concerning the end times.

You must be spiritually reborn to see the kingdom of God (Jn 3.3) flesh and blood does not inherit the kingdom (1Cor 15.50).

    The first century Israelites and even most Christians throughout the centuries that followed understood the restoration of the promised land to Israel as the piece of real estate in the Middle East by an earthly Messiah or a physical return of Jesus in his second coming. The Scriptures actually say otherwise; the restored promise land to Israel is Mount Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem (the Kingdom of God), Hebrews 12:22-28. This was fulfilled by Jesus at His Parousia at the end of the age (the time of the fall of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70CE). Jesus did not return as a physical man as most people expected; He returned as Spirit from heaven to give resurrection to the righteous men, 1Corinthians 15, Romans 8. The Kingdom of God is not a physical entity; it is the Body of Christ comprising the spirits of righteous men through resurrection of the dead and the living. The restored Temple of God is spiritual, the city built by God. So why do we look to a piece of Middle East land and fight over it?
    If the Scriptures were properly understood we could have avoided the loss of millions of lives throughout the centuries and we could have avoided the disastrous Middle East conflicts of the recent decades.

      Spiritual metaphor stories are very malleable, and the danger is you can make Scripture say anything you want it to say. It was the churches that persecuted, displaced, killed the Jews for 1900 years using the spiritual method of tampering with the scriptures. And now the Replacement Theology churches continue to delegitimize the Jews who are returning to their ancestral homeland as the Prophets predicted. What a tragedy!

    This is replacement theology, but Romans 11:25-26; Rev. 7:4 suggest God still has a plan for Israel. 2 Thess. 2:4 prophesies of a future temple the “man of lawlessness” sets himself up in. Yes, these can all be “explained away” - but perhaps the arrival of Israel as a nation after almost 2000 years of not being a nation when no other people on earth have ever done anything similar could also justly be seen as an act of God.

      “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it:
      it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble;
      but he shall be saved out of it.

      “And the house of Jacob shall be a fire,
      and the house of Joseph a flame,
      and the house of Esau for stubble,
      and they shall kindle in them, and devour them;
      and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau;
      for the LORD hath spoken it.” (Obadiah 1:18)
      Soon, after being burnt out of the West, the Edomite State of 'Israel' will persecute the Christian minority within Jerusalem, as prophesied in the Bible, and then Edom will unite the East in a military invasion of the West.
      The Bible prophesies that when approaching the terrified West, they are suddenly startled by a supernatural threat rising up from the very land of Edom itself, and turn south to meet in the battle of Armageddon.

    0:20 “I take very seriously what Paul says in 2 Cor 1 [:20] that all the promises of God find their Yes in Christ”
    Dr. Wright in essence agrees with the NLT Translation that has this text "translated" as: “20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
    Bu that is not what the text says. Very literally: "for as many as are promises of God, in him are the Yes, and in him the Amen, for glory to God through us;"
    Let me give an analogy: This would be like saying that if a father promises to divided his inheritance to 10 children by giving each one of them 10% and then the executor giving 100% to the first born and argues “All the promises of the father find their Yes in the first born.” You can’t be serious.
    I am just going to leave David Stern’s commentary here:
    All God’s promises *find their “Yes” in connection with* Yeshua. Sometimes he fulfills them in his own person-“He has become wisdom for us” (1C 1:30); he is the last Adam, so that his resurrection guarantees ours (1 Corinthians 15, Ro 5:12-21). More than that, God fulfills all his other promises through him, because God does everything through him (Yn 1:1-5, Co 1:16-18, MJ 1:1-3).
    Replacement theologians, who teach the traditional but mistaken Christian doctrine that the Church has replaced the Jews as God’s people, misuse this verse in the following way: since God’s promises find their “yes” in connection with Yeshua, and Yeshua came two thousand years ago,
    “all the Old Testament promises have in some mystical sense been fulfilled in the Messiah already, so that none remain for the Jews. But the verse does not say or mean that all the promises have been fulfilled already, but that whenever God’s promises are fulfilled, they are fulfilled in, through or by Yeshua. He is the instrument through whom God the Father has fulfilled, is fulfilling and will fulfill every promise he has ever made to the Jewish people-including the promise that they will return from Exile to possess and live in the Land of Israel and the promise that the Kingdom will be restored, with the Son of David on the throne. A text which assures that God will fulfill every one of his promises to the Jews must not be turned into a pretext for cancelling them!” (from my Messianic Jewish Manifesto, pp. 111-112)
    Because, in the view of Replacement theologians, all the promises God made in the Tanakh to the Jews have already found their “yes” in Yeshua, they must necessarily regard as a fluke the existence of the State of Israel and the fact that a third of the world’s Jews now live here. For them this is a mere coincidence that has no connection with prophecy fulfillment.
    However, this verse, rightly understood, has exactly the opposite meaning. Because all God’s promises find their “yes” in Yeshua we can be confident that every one of God’s as yet unfulfilled prophecies will be fulfilled, including the national salvation of Israel and the return of the Jewish people to the Land. Yeshua the Messiah, who embodies “the fullness of all that God is” (Co 2:9), guarantees the fulfillment of every one of God’s promises. This is seen clearly in the relationship between Ro 8:28-39 and Romans 9-11

      The only problem is that God did away with the race of people called Jews by 70 AD. It is no accident that Jesus used that specific phrase in Revelations 2 and 3, 'Jews who are not Jews but are the synagogue of Satan'. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
      It is Dispensationalism that presents a Replacement Theology, that replaced the pre-eminence from Christ to a people who committed a serious identity theft!

    4:34 "irrespective if Jesus" nothing that has or will happen is irrespective of Jesus. Jesus will return to where? (Jerusalem). Paul says that God will have all Israel saved so Jesus will eventually save all who are left in Israel, "Jews". If God's chosen people were not to return to the promised land as they have then how is there to be a temple in which the Anti Christ will sit? You have to be hellbent on excluding the nation of Israel to follow this man's opinion. Also, what will Dr. Wright do about the return of the Jews to their ancient homeland and their becoming a nation of the world in one day as Isaiah predicted: Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? (May 14, 1948) for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. (May 14, 1948)

      “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain-if indeed it was in vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?- just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.” Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one. Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

    Luke 1:30 - 33: But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end."
    Sounds like Jesus is going to sit on King David's throne in Zion (Jerusalem), and rule over Jacob’s descendants, who are the nation Israel. Jesus hasn't done it yet, but Jacob’s descendants are gathering in Zion. The LORD will accomplish it.

      33 Then Pilate entered the 8Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
      34 Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”
      35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?”
      36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
      37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
      Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
      Yes, the Son of Mary will have a kingdom that will never end, but it sounds like Jesus' kingdom is NOT of this world.

[32] Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” [33] They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” [34] Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. [35] Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. [36] So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. [37] I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word. [38] I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father.” [39] “Abraham is our father,” they answered. “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. [40] As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. [41] You are doing the works of your own father.” “We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.” [42] Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. [43] Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. [44] You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. [45] Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! [46] Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? [47] Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

It is simply rebadging paganism and polluting the true gospel in the process. Yet in the Old Testament God clearly shows he hates his people merging foreign customs with Christianity. The RC Church is a mixture of the customs, traditions and idols of ancient Isreal, Babylon, Greece, Egypt and Rome and the CoE is a watered down version.

    If all spiritual promises and realities are fulfilled in Christ then how can Christ a human (God/man) become land? Is this an example of spiritualization of promises taken too far? If Christ is Israel and none other then what of the multitudes of Jews who have believed over the centuries and who are believing in increasing numbers today? If they are part of true Israel then how can Christ become all of them individually? If for instance one said, "Ronald Reagan is America," did that mean President Reagan was President Reagan and also every American? Saying and believing Christ is Israel can also be taken too far. Yes He is the consummate Israel in His obedience and sacrifice on behalf of others but that doesn't make Him all of Israel. Context must be considered.
    Where will Christ return to? He was born in Israel, ministered in Israel, died and rose again in Israel and ascended from Israel while promising to return to Israel. I'm assuming He meant what He said. How then can the against all odds reemergence of Israel as a nation be just because of an ill guided mandate or just a "happenstance" of history? Brother Wright, they returned to the LAND once occupied by their fathers. If God has brought them back in unbelief for the time being then any beef over this should be taken up with the Lord. Scripture says He is all wise and can not do any wrong or can be guilty of any injustice. He knew bringing them back was not going to bring peace but He is not through with them or the nations yet. Meanwhile, I am not a dispensationalist nor do I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. Yet I believe, if Christ ascended from Israel and promised to return to Israel then I believe that is what will occur. When Christ sets foot on the earth again at which geographical location will that be?
    Upon Christ's return, the Hebrew nation of that day will not be exalted out of order and made to unfairly stand above others. They will be a humble and contrite people (Zephaniah 3:11-13) known for their service to humanity and not lording it over the nations. In the day when the nations eat their swords into plowshares and Christ does not allow war anymore, Israel will become the chief servant to the nations as they follow His royal and divine example of servanthood. Israel will stoop and wash the feet of the nations.

    So, God chooses Israel to be His specific people and gives them the scriptures, the role of being a witness to His person, and bring the Messiah through Israel in the fulfillment of his promises. As a people Israel often failed to obey God and were regularly judged for their actions. They have been persecuted ruthlessly throughout history, driven from their land and murdered for millennia. somehow they miraculously manage to re-enter Israel and re-establish a new Israel against all odds. And is has no meaning biblically? Because some theologian believes
    Christ already returned and we are already living in the golden age?
    It is amazing to see such a generally good theologian be so reactionary, his theology or view of the end times is based on his reaction to the Left Behind Series, unfortunately in his overaction he has left behind many clear teachings in the Scriptures. it's rubbish

Forcing one's interpretations of prophecy onto historical events doesn't make your interpretations true. Also, dismissing someone's teaching as mere "rubbish" could possibly be construed as "reactionary".

    In one sense Israel is replaced: Matt 3:9-10 "And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire." In another sense Israel is reconstituted only under the New Covenant. The Mosaic Covenant has been abolished, and Abraham's seed is defined as Christ alone (Gal 3:16). Anyone outside of Christ and the New Covenant can not claim to be the Israel of God based on NT revelation. Anyone claiming privilege with God based on ethnicity is clinging to a relic of the past. Israel is determined by covenant, not ethnicity. Gal 3:28-29 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you be Christ's, then are you Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

    The Bible teaches that Jesus will return in the future to restore the kingdom to the nation Israel.
    "They asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or seasons, which the Father has put in his own power." (Acts 1:6-7 AV).
    The Disciples ask Jesus if he was going to restore the kingdom to Israel at that specific time. Notice that Jesus didn't correct the Disciples with regards to their view of the kingdom being restored to Israel, but said that it would happen as a future event - "It is not for you to know the times or seasons, which my Father has put in his own power (v7).

      Islam is fake, horses don't fly, and muhammad was a murder thief and pedophile. with that out of the way, If the return and thousand year reign is not in the future, that all the bible has to say is past tense (I've read it, it isn't) then what does humanity have to look forward to? The text says the return, thousand year reign, loosening of satan, then the eternal reign, happens at the end, after the trumpets, and the following tribulation. where is the huge jasper city cube in israel? Where is the third temple? also "Jerusalem shall dwell in safety" when has islam ever created "safety"? War amongst tribes, sunni, shia, bombing each other into oblivion, human slave trade, parading the enemy's captured children around town in the backs of trucks, Ieds, sewing bombs into children, women, and least of all goats of all things, mass beheadings, mass murder of christians, genocidal rhetoric, persecution of women, execution of gays, while also r****g small boys dressed as females in a disgusting ritual abuse called "bacha bazi" the "marrying" No age limits have been fixed by Islam for marriage so even an infant, and r***e of girls as young as six, as a widespread custom in the mideast. Yea the list keeps going and going, from the promise in the koran to genocide all jews and christians. to the inequality of women in sharia law, female genital mutilation, to arranged marriage, to the jizya tax, yea bro, this narrative sucks, Islam was invented by a catholic priest, and a medinan pagan priest coming together in a series of religious compromises, to bridge trade between the catholics, and medinan pagans, There are no references to islam from the time of muhammad, and pretty much every ancient record, save for in the claims in the fictional koran, which isn't all that old, describe him as a medinan pagan folk "hero" who was a bandit that led a gang of thieves that robbed caravans, killed a bunch of people, and etc. to the benefit of the pagan medinan tribe. He was recorded as being a pedophile and a devout pagan in the medinan faith. no archaeological connection to him regarding islam comes out until many centuries after his death right when the catholics and Islamic empires were settling down, and looking for means for open trade. Convenient.

      Not all old testament prophecies have been fulfilled and there's also new testament prophecies to be fulfilled. People need to humble themselves and be open to question their assumptions. There are Christian Jews and Arabs in Israel and in the Bible talks about how Jews would return to their land in wings like of birds and they would come to believe in the Messiah. We're living times of prophecy and if you don't believe the least you can do is sit back and watch because this thing is bigger than all of us on so many levels, from a Christian perspective and islamic too (which most people aren't paying attention to). It's a religious war, not of social justice.

      “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it:
      it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble;
      but he shall be saved out of it.

      “And the house of Jacob shall be a fire,
      and the house of Joseph a flame,
      and the house of Esau for stubble,
      and they shall kindle in them, and devour them;
      and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau;
      for the LORD hath spoken it.” (Obadiah 1:18)
      Soon, after being burnt out of the West, the Edomite State of 'Israel' will persecute the Christian minority within Jerusalem, as prophesied in the Bible, and then Edom will unite the East in a military invasion of the West.
      The Bible prophesies that when approaching the terrified West, they are suddenly startled by a supernatural threat rising up from the very land of Edom itself, and turn south to meet in the battle of Armageddon....

    Jesus Christ is the Yes for all God's promises.. so, how does God's promise below find its Yes in Jesus Christ?
    Amos 9:14 *I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel,*
    and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them;
    they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine,
    and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit.
    15 *I will plant them on their land,*
    *and they shall never again be uprooted*
    *out of the land that I have given them,”*
    says the LORD your God.
    I see it that Jesus Christ is the "I" in the promise above. His body, the Christian church has fulfilled its job in bringing back Israel to their land. Christian Zionism is the fulfillment of such promises. God promised to bring the children of Israel back to their land, many many many many times, and He fulfilled it through Jesus Christ's body working to achieve that. Christian Zionism, which preceded Jewish Zionism is the fulfillment.

      I believe what God is speaking here is in the future with Christ in the 1000 yr reign. Verse 9 Clearly States that House of Israel Is scattered among the nations, There are more Jews living worldwide than live in Israel. the passage also goes on to say that in verse 14 that That The lord will bring the captivity back, that still has not happened. starting from verse 8 of Amos God clearly states :
      8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.
      9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
      10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
      11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
      12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this.
      13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
      14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
      15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.
      The Church can not take any credit for this, {I } is the Lord himself, He will accomplish it. Furthermore there is no peace In Israel, National Israel Has rejected Jesus Christ.

    • @TogelTr
      @TogelTr 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Croiseeman Yes, that could be in the 1000 year reign OR before it started, because Jesus said:
      Lu 13:35 Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
      Which means that Jerusalem will have to be waiting for Him before He will return. That means, Israel will already have returned to Jerusalem, and at least some will have already believed and are waiting for His return for that return to take place.
      I tend to think that the Lord may use His body, us, the Church, to accomplish that. Remember, the first human Zionists were Christian Zionists, although the first ever Zionist was actually the LORD Himself, because He already declared Zionism (return of Israel to their homeland) from more than 2500 years ago.
      Ezekiel 36:24-29 talks about the LORD bringing the remnant of Israel from all nations, and only after that cleanse them with water, etc, essentially make them believers. That means, Israel will be returned in unbelief.
      What is quite interesting is perhaps that there are so many prophecies about the return of Israel from all nations, from the four corners of the earth in the Old Testaments (the prophets), whereas in those OT books (prophets and history) , Israel were exiled only to Assyria and Babylonia. The prophecy about the dispersing of Israel to all nations was in fact only spoken by Jesus (Luke 21:24).

    Jesus said, 'A time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem... True worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and truth.' (John 4:21-24 NIV). Christ's Kingdom is not geographical (nor institutional). Zionism is unrelated to God's message through Christ. To seek to apply the Kingdom agenda in geographical and political ways goes down entirely the wrong path and leads to deep trouble. Again, 'My Kingdom is not of this world.' (John 18:36).

    The rapture did not begin with Darby although he did popularise it. At the same time in church history there was also a growing awareness - from the Scriptures - regarding Israel and its return to their land. Since we’re quoting an external source like Darby, why not look way before him to several of the church fathers who spoke very clearly about the rapture. Some of them would use the idiom "taken out of the midst" - as used by Paul (in 2 Thes 2:7), and there are even extra biblical writings like the Dead Sea Scrolls and book of Gad (but mentioned in OT) that also use this idiom.
    In regard to the dividing of history the Bible clearly speaks of these distinct time periods. We even have this same principle in our secular history which is very clearly understood. Hebrews 1:2 speaks of this church period we are in "the last days". Verse one speaks that God at different time periods has spoken certain revelations to eventually form a big picture. Adam and Eve are the starting point. Then God calls Noah, brings a flood starting over with 8 (new beginnings) people. Then God gives the Law introducing the Old Covenant, another starting point. Jesus was born “under the law”.Paul then, following the resurrection and the coming of the Holy Spirit, refers to this period in a number of ways: The “ministry of the Spirit” (aka the church age); the “last days'' and then in Ephesians as “this age”. Paul, as does Jesus, refers to “the age to come (i.e. the Millennium) after which there is a new heavens and a new earth. So we can see there are many different time periods that have their own distinctions.
    The comment on so-called "Plan B". No such thing is taught among those who believe in distinct ages, because God has a plan - that is perfectly complimentary - for both Israel and the Church . It would seem that those who only believe in Israel in the past tense (as in the interview) are the ones who have actually moved from Plan A to Plan B.
    For Jesus to set forth on earth again at the end of the tribulation period His people have to be in the land and call out to Him for salvation (Matt 23:39). God does not violate human will and Israel rejected Him the first time (37b & John 1:11). A blindness during "this age" has come upon Israel "until the full number of Gentiles has come in" (Rom 11:25). Yet they are still loved on account of an unconditional covenant made with Abraham (Rom 11:28) because God's calling and gifts are without change (Rom 11:29).
    The reason there is nothing about Israel returning to the land in Romans 11 is simply because the subject matter of the book of Romans is salvation by grace. So chapters 9,10 and 11 deal with Israel’s “rejection” and Israel's salvation. The land issue is dealt with elsewhere.
    God says in Jeremiah (again Paul restates this in Romans) that He will never reject Israel (Jer 21:37).
    It is important to note that these issues are not salvation issues. However, by appreciating the distinction between the Church and Israel makes sense of many passages of Scripture so that they fit together beautifully as an integral whole.
    All Scripture is for us; but it is not always written directly to us.

      The "last days" is associated with the "end of the age" referenced by Jesus, and the biblical writers. The phrases are not difficult to understand if we took Jesus and the inspired word of God seriously. These phrases refer to the 1st century after the advent of the Messiah until the destruction of the 2nd Temple in Jerusalem when the Mosaic order and animal sacrifices are brought to an end. This marks the end of the Jewish age. God meant what He said and save the remnant that followed Christ, all other unbelieving ethnic Jews perished!
      The age to come was the times of the Gentiles and not some millennial age. There is no other dispensation foretold. The new earth and the new heavens are none other than the new covenant that we're living under. It is sad that Christians are missing out on this phenomenon just like the Jews of the 1st century who missed their Messiah's appearance. The world is now complete with Gentiles (fullness of Gentiles) because there is no such thing anymore as ethnic Jews. Rabbinic Judaism that converted Gentile proselytes into that religion and national Israel are not part of God's covenant people. If anything they must be akin to what Christ referred to as the 'Jews who are not Jews', 'the synagogue of Satan', or a part of the beast in the book of Revelation.

      “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it:
      it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble;
      but he shall be saved out of it.

      “And the house of Jacob shall be a fire,
      and the house of Joseph a flame,
      and the house of Esau for stubble,
      and they shall kindle in them, and devour them;
      and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau;

      It is not just naive. He clearly forgets that the British with their posh accent curtailed the immigration of Jews into their own land when they were "implementing" the Palestinian Mandate, while at the same time allowing uncontrolled and illegal immigration by Arabs, Turks and you name it because they wanted to be friends with the people that had the oil. So his argument that they didn't know how many "Palestinians" were living there is disingenuous. Mark Twain clearly showed that the land was empty but it was made to bloom again when the Jews started to work the land.
      Much of the blood of the Jews that were murdered in the Holocaust is on the hands of both Great Britain and the USA because they shut their eyes for the evil that was happening to them during the pogroms.
      People will shout that they should get to where they come from if the Jews live along them and when they live in their own country they say, go back to where you came from. They just can't win. The hatred is demonic.

    Dr. Wright uses the word "complicated" very often, and in this piece he does not engage any OT prophets and prophecies related to Israel. Dispensationalism is all wrong, but God is not done with His dealings with Israel. Jesus returns to Jerusalem after all, not to NY or London.

    This is the problem with Reformed theology... it over spiritualizes away clear promises to a literal Israel on earth that Christ will come back to and says that all those promises are now spiritually fulfilled in the Church, the Body of Christ. It's really sad to hear this teaching, no matter how 'articulate' the speaker is. This is really no different than the teaching of the prevailing Catholic church during the middle ages for over a thousand years. That the Church has replaced Israel. This is a huge subject but I would encourage anybody to mark off to the side, as they read through the O.T. scriptures, every verse that references God promising and/or giving the land to Israel. At last count I have noted over 250 verses that specifically say this. Now if God can't lie, and says that they'll inherit that land forever, then I believe what the Lord says. But if you spiritualize or allegorize all these verses to mean something else other than what they plainly say and mean... then as a friend used to say to me who was in the data/software world: If you torture the data long enough, it'll confess to anything. I really believe this teaching, of replacement theology, is what Paul talked about in Romans 11... the boasting of gentiles... the wild branches boasting over the natural branches. But God will once again reattach so to speak the natural branches... and bring in the Kingdom of God! PTL...Anyway, Lord bless you all but this teaching and mindset I cannot agree with Biblically.

      How do you explain Jesus conversation with the woman at the well then in John 4:21 or what he told Pilate in John 18:33-37? Jesus also admitted that certain descendants of Abraham were actually children of the Devil if they did not accept him in John 8:31-42. This earthly Israel is evil and there is a warning in Amos 5:18 to those "looking forward to the End Times". Sounds like some modern Christian churches today looking forward to 'the Rapture' performing their Christian Contemporary music, raising their hands, putting on a big show but ignoring Jesus' teachings.

    All of God's promises are Yes in Christ. But also according to Paul, Christ was Himself with Israel in the wilderness and throughout their history. Moreover, God's call and promises are irrevocable. And the Church is like a branch grafted into the vine until all Israel is saved. Note: None of that is dispensationalism.

    NT’s diatribe is both pompous and a gross misrepresentation of those who are dispensational in their conclusions. A grammatical and contextual hermeneutic is the only logical way to approach all Scripture. Wright’s supposedly Christological approach actually ignores Jesus’ own words on the topic in Matthew 24 where he treats the end events as real (Dan 9j and centred on Jerusalem. Romans 11 is a good chapter for him to reread again I would think.

    Christian Zionism may be viewed as an oxymoron. True Christianity teaches that God loves all people, all ethnicities, and does not play favorites. Zionism teaches the opposite, namely that God loves and protects one group against all others. God takes away land from one group and gives it to his special group. This idea is against modern norms. It comes out of a tribal antiquity in which most groups thought they were special and had a deity who would protect them. My ancestors, for example, were Vikings and believed that Odin, Thor, and Frey loved them especially and would protect them no matter what they did. Merciless barbarisms where carried out with the belief that these gods approved.

    Wright is an allegorizer. He sometimes makes nice points from the Scriptures but has the usual High Church blind spot about Israel. Israel was the branches broken off, not the Church. Any one who says otherwise can't read. Likewise Israel will be grafted in again (Romans 11:23-24). The Church was never broken off but was grafted in where Israel was broken off: "how much more will these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?" Paul continues his statement in Romans 11:26 and says "All Israel will be saved." The idea that God's promises to Israel have been scotched and allegorized/aggrandized to the Church is just old recycled RC concepts that were formed from a church that preferred an allegorical reading to the actual statements of Scripture. We are under no obligation to bow to these pronouncements that ignore obvious Scripture. I view Reformed/Covenant statements against Israel as simply a recrudescence of the same sorts of RC philosophies that labeled the Jews as Jesus' killers and used the Jews as political scapegoats. As a result the RC committed forced conversions of Jews, expulsions from England Spain, segregation into ghettoes, restrictions on professions Jews could work, the blood libel, the Inquisition, censorship of Jewish worship, and the Holocaust. The Gentile Romans killed Jesus Christ. The High Church has persecuted the Jews. We are in no way obligated to follow along with their support of the Gazans, Hezbollah, and Iran's effort to again slaughter the Jews. Christ is coming; the Jews will look up and be saved regardless of the allegorical opinions of N. T. Wright.

    Mr. Wright would spiritualize and allegorize huge portions of Scripture, portions which spring abundantly from Israel's literal history, and which predict a future that will resolve, just as literally, these ancient historical issues.
    Ezekiel 37:21-28
    Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
    And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
    Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
    And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
    And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
    Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
    My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

      The great city where the Lord was crucified is called Mystery Babylon (also S0dom and Egypt) at the end of the age ruling over the kings and great merchants (billionaires) of the earth:
      _And their dead bodies will lie on the street of _*_THE GREAT CITY_*_ which spiritually is called S0dom and Egypt, WHERE ALSO THEIR LORD WAS CRUCIFIED._ (Rev 11.8)
      _The woman [Babylon per 17.5] whom you saw is _*_THE GREAT CITY_*_ which reigns over the kings of the earth._ (Rev 17.18)
      _”And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth/land.”_ (Rev 18.24)
      _”Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!”_ (Mat 23.37)
      _for your [Babylon’s] merchants were the great men of the earth, for all the nations were deceived by your “PHARMAKEIA”_ (Rev 18.23)
      Is it a coincidence in Revelation the harlot comes riding on a red beast in the wilderness (the Temple Institute in Jerusalem is preparing a red heifer sacrifice to bring back the temple ministry, which in Torah was prescribed to be carried out in the wilderness/outside the camp like at Mt Olives) and dressed in the colors and jewels describing the high priestly garment from Exodus 28.4-11?
