The bible says that the wages of sin is death, Jesus raising from the dead gave victory over death, so without him rising, death still reigns and we would still be in our sins to suffer not only a physical death but a spiritual one. Though physically we still die, the resurrection by faith in Jesus gives us victory when we die physically and we then will be raised by his power to newness of life eternal with him in glory.

Because I've previously been approached for investing advice, my contact information is displayed on my profile. My life suddenly slowed down and was dull despite the fact that I am enthusiastic about what I do. Even how I recovered is beyond me. One day, I had the impression of seeing a bright light, and when I looked over at my partner, I saw that he was crying. Now that I'm back at work, I'm proud of myself. I pray for your continued healing according to the mercies of our Savior who died upon the cross for us sinners. May He be pleased to hear this prayer. Dear Lord, you have all power in heaven and earth. You are Lord, you are God, you are seated at the Father's right hand. You will come again to judge the living and the dead.
Hear this prayer for the restoration of full health to my precious sibling in Christ. May you be pleased to guard their household of faith, protect them with angels, return back twofold or better everything that has been lost. As you did for Job, so do for them. Grant them this same grace to pass it on to others who saved suffered, that "they may be comforted with the same comfort by which we are comforted."
Faithful are you to watch over your word to perform it. We ask this in your name, the one name given to men whereby they might be saved, the name of JESUS.
If this prayer is acceptable in your sight, may it be recorded in the Lamb's book, this day Monday February 20, the year of the Lord 2023. Amen.

God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” Exodus 3:14
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever Hebrews 13:8
I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” revelation 1;8
It has been 4 days since Lazarus died. Jesus came to the family of Mary and Martha, who were the family of Lazarus. Then Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died. Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” Marta said to Jesus "Yes, Lord,” , “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” (John 11:21-27)
What can we learn from this? Most of today's generation is divided into two groups: those who believe in resurrection and death in the future and those who say there is no resurrection. One thing we need to know is that what people say is their own opinion, but what Jesus said is 100% correct, appropriate and trustworthy. The reason Jesus did rise Lazarus from the grave was to answer those who have questions about the resurrection of the dead and when the Lord heard of Lazarus' illness, He delayed until Lazarus died.
This message is also for us today. In this day and age, Jesus is the resurrection and the life that answers for those who doubt the existence of the resurrection. Martha believes that the resurrection of the dead is after the end of the world. That is by looking ahead to many generations, But the Lord Jesus brought the future world before Martha and showed it to her and said to her: I am the life and the resurrection.
The resurrection of the dead is Jesus Christ because He is the Lord who established the thing called "death". When we read the account of creation, the first man transgressed God 'slaw. For this reason, the Lord set the law of death "death on life" because God is the law maker and law giver. During Christ Jesus' earthly time, Lazarus was raised from physical death by the power of the Lord. Now, many people are dead in their spiritual life.
What is needed is to believe and know that Jesus Christ is the "resurrection and the life." After whoever believed in Christ he will resurrected them from the spiritual dead.
The Bible says: "To know Christ is eternal life (John 17:3) and the day of salvation is now, not after many generations.
"Christ came to earth to" RE-SET the first human race" from a temporary "seed" to an eternal "seed", we need the seed of Christ, because he has a living seed of life. Martha believes that her dead brother will rise from the dead in the future and that she will rise also from the dead on the last day, but what the Lord Jesus said to us ? There is no future in him, he is resurrection and life. Because GOD IS "NOW AND NEW"
When the prophet Moses saw God appearing in the burning furnace, raised his voice and asked God, who are you? And God said to Moses, "I am who I am." Exodus 3:14 this means that everything is now..
Regardless of time, we are all in a slow or gradual process of change. For those who believe in Christ, the future is now, there is no tomorrow. Because Jesus Christ is " NOW" . Martha believed that Lazarus would rise from the dead, but her faith was that Lazarus would rise from the dead in the future, but the Lord Jesus changed Martha's faith from the belief that from future to now, what is Martha's point of view? . When we believe in Christ right now, the Lord will raise us from spiritual death. Here is what the Lord said: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; (John 11, 25) What it means is whoever believes in Christ now, he will be resurrected from the spiritual death. Believing means seeing a new thing in the spiritual realm.

The so-called "statements" of Jesus like the one about "I am the resurrection..." and all the other "I am ..." ones in John's gospel are made up ones by the anonymous author of that gospel. They differ so much from any others in the synoptic gospels that experts are convinced they are unhistorical (forged if you like). To take any statement supposed to be from Jesus is unwise as they are simply made up to try to convince people in a competitive first century that the Christian view is better than any others. Essentially, the gospels are either mythical or propagandist ( or both) which set out one view about god- men current in the first century CE.

If Jesus looked different post resurrection such that he was unrecognizable to his own disciples, then the 500 people who saw him had no visual reason to believe that it was Jesus who was speaking to them. Also, there was no photography back in the day, so 500 people had nothing to compare this different looking person to. Also, if less than 100% of these people were totally convinced that the person speaking to them post crucifixion was Jesus, we would never know it because the only recording of event doesn't mention any unconvinced people. Why would it? There is no forensic reason to suspect that resurrection took place, only theological reasons. And that's fine I guess.

A story that was written decades after it actually happened by unknown people so it was a story that was passed on at least two or three times but evidently it’s completely accurate? Not even to mention all the extreme similarities. It has two stories told centuries before of dying and rising gods, that are almost exactly like the Christian story of Jesus. I swear it’s like religion just makes people stop critical, thinking, and just turn on tunnel, vision, and believe. I realize there’s certain good and religion, but there’s also a lot of bad and that’s definitely one of them.

If Jesus had brothers born from the same mother, he wouldn't have asked John ("the disciple whom he loved") to look after his mother like a son; his brothers would have looked after her after his death. So, the word brothers eithter stands for stepbrothers, born from Joseph in a previous marriage, or cousins (other possible meaning of adelphos), or brothers in faith.
Jhon 20.26 Jesus therefore seeing his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing by, says to his mother: Woman, behold thy son.
27 Then he says to the disciple: Behold thy mother. And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

We're not in a position to assume what Jesus "wouldn't" do. We just have to deal with the known facts as recorded: Jesus had four brothers, and they thought Jesus was out of his mind. That's not a good set of chaps to comfort and support a grieving mother. (We know later they changed their minds after facing big brother alive again.) John, however, was a loyal close disciple, and apparently Jesus considered him a better one to look after Mary under the circumstances. It was his call. We don't know how long that arrangement lasted.

I have received several arrogantly negative replies to my statement of affirmation of the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin. Amazingly, those who comment act as though they are forensic experts, photographic analysts, physicians and chemists. None of you appear to know any facts about the relic other than sound bites and snippets from detractors. None of you have addressed why there is no pigment on the shroud, why it, unlike a photograph is 3D, why there is no sign of decay on the body, which occurs in about 42 hours of death. None of you have explained why after dousing it with water the image is not diluted or altered, nor have you explained why the body appears to be in motion. None of you have explained why pollen and minerals found in the area of Jerusalem are present in the cloth. Nor have you explained how a medieval forger was clever enough to implant such material or to place Roman coins of the period on the eyes and to find linen matching the type available in the area at the time of Christ when that particular linen was not available in Europe during the medieval period. There are many other unexplained attributes that I have not listed here for the sake of time and space. I think Barrie Schwortz, the original project photographic expert that spent 17 years attempting to explain away the image, is better informed than any of you that have posted your, pseudo intellectual comments to my statements.

People in those days were not surprised that 'hero's' walked among the living before they rose to 'heaven'.
It was a literary trope in Hellenistic literature. The translation fable was a typical mark of storytelling about hero's.
They faced adversity, a horrible death and rose from the dead to walk among the living before they exhalted to heaven.
Many hero's like Alexander the Great, Roman Emperors, etcetera, were all seen, by witnesses, to have risen.
People didn't ask themselves wether resurrection really happened or not. They expected no less that their hero's performed miracles, had divine powers, were resurrected, etcetera.
In that sense, the gospels don't differ from any contemporary hero tale. It followed the same literary form and used the same tropes.

"...the ancients knew people don't rise from the dead." Yet the ancients (Greeks and Romans) wrote mythologies that included resurrection tales. So the real question is what separates the gospels from these other mythologies and the answer to that is NOTHING. The gospels, starting with Mark bear all the trademarks and ancient mythologies. The gospels are not histories; they are mythology, demonstrably so. All religions start with sincerely held beliefs. So though Mr. Wright himself cannot figure out how xianity commenced unless everyone believed jesus rose from the dead (therefore he rose from the dead) I'd bet real money that he'd deny the sincerely held beliefs of Muslims, Mormons and other sects and cults regarding their sincerely, universally held beliefs. Jesus, if he existed at all, did not rise from the dead and therefore xianity, like all faiths, is false. Get over it.

THE RESURRECTION......The Savior was now (winter) deposited in his tomb. As the Sabbath (winter) was nearing its end, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre, bringing sweet spices (the spring flowers) with them. They found the stone rolled away, i.e., it was spring. Mary ran to Peter (Aries) and told him the Savior's body wasn't in the tomb (winter). Peter, of course, was badly scared, and ran off with another disciple (Pisces) but got outrun, the last passing the Sun first. However, both found the “linen clothes” = the Earth. All then went home, i.e., the two sets of constellations (winter and summer) came into position at the spring equinox. Meanwhile “the vail of the temple (intereaspansum templi = the plane of the solstices) was rent (scissum est = was divided) from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake (mota est = was moved, i.e., over the equinoctial line); and the rocks were rent” by the dissolving frosts. The graves were opened, i.e., the winter was past, and “many saints” (summer constellations) which slept (in the dark hemisphere) arose, and appeared to many, i.e., to such as understood the riddle.
Mary stood without, at the sepulchre,” weeping (the latter rain); and as she wept, she stooped down (went below the equator), and, looking, saw two angels in white (the light of spring), sitting, one (Aries) at the head, and the other (Pisces) at the feet (see your almanac), where the body of Jesus had lain. “Why weepest thou?” said the angels. Because, said Mary, I cannot find my Lord. Being a night constellation, she couldn't see the Sun. Turning back just then (Lot's wife looked back), she saw Jesus standing, but didn't know him. He addressed her, when, turning again, she knew him (but didn't see him), and exclaimed Rabboni (My great one). Jesus said, “touch me not;” for I am not ascended to my Father (the Holy Ghost). The Sun and Virgo don’t come in conjunction until the end of the summer. Hence in the spring Jesus said to her: “touch me not;” “but go and tell my brethren that I ascend unto my father, and your Father; and to my God and your God” (Sun entered Aries).

That women were "airbrushed" out of the account already makes it specious. On the other hand, does it matter if this was a corporeal resurrection and why isn't it enough that they didn't choose a new leader and Christ rising and walking again actually occurred through the disciples who came out of hiding and took up the mission and continued forth "into all nations?" That's what Christ actually wanted, not that anybody would believe He came out of a tomb himself. But that the faith He proclaimed would survive and circle the world. It makes no difference if His body rose and walked around. It makes an enormous difference if, seeing Him murdered his disciples didn't just cower and disappear. They revived Christ's spirit in themselves.

See Rev 9, where winter aka the five months that can harm man is led by the scorpion aka Scorpio constellation. The evil five are Scorpio thru Pisces. These are also the five sons of Shem (Pluto/Hades/Maha Bhaga).

Anyway the gospel Jesus said he would return with the Kingdom of God and Angels
and it is 2000 years later and apparently the lord delayed his coming......
Mark 9:1Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God arrive with power.”
Matt 16:28 Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

So now the spirit of Jesus wouldn't have been given eternal life if it was already eternal. Correct?

We have fasted for the required time and have observed the rituals of Baal, Tanit and Moloch.
Tonight we partake of the Mandrake root to bring us closer to our inner selves and the spirits we serve, our rituals invoke the spirit of our beloved Lord Ahriman and we introduce sacrifices to our God Moloch the Devourer.
Our offerings will ensure the harvest for the coming seasons will be plentiful. We renounce the false Prophet Jesus and all his teachings.
O Lord Ahriman accept the sacrifices of your devotees and take our offerings as a token of our love. Blessed be.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:22,23

To realize that we are locked into the physical, and in this sense evil and death, with the regretful confession of sin - and to seek redemption by Christ by following him, then the sins, the weaknesses will slowly lose control in our lives because Jesus comes to rescue and help when we begin carrying our own cross every day and setting foot on his path. It is a reflection (to a lesser degree) of Christ's resurrection from the dead that happens in us, when we decide to open to Him.

Forget the Resurrection of Jesus. From Matthew 27 verses 51-53 51 "And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."1. A miracle far greater than the Resurrection had occurred. The decomposed bodies of many saints (all men, no women) were restored to life. If these saints were already in heaven, why would they want to be restored to life?
    2. Did these resurrected bodies appear to astonished relatives in Jerusalem?
3.Did these saints go back to their graves afterwards and "go back to sleep"?
An author, Frank Morison, wrote a book about the Resurrection called " Who moved the stone".. It should have read "Who moved the stones".

Wow, did all those things "really" happen, about long-dead fokes jumping up outta their graves, and so forth at the time of the Resurrection? And yet the crazy Jewish authorities still refused to accept from that day to this that Jaycee indeed _was_ their Messiah? Wow, what does it take to persuade some fokes? Crazee!

    • @ji8044

Because in the Jewish concept of the Messiah, which is not the same as the Christian concept, the Messiah would first defeat the enemies of the Israelites and establish an earthly kingdom before the Final Judgement. Jesus was expressing surprise that it did not happen that way.
