She thought her English was not good enough, so she was nervous to be alone with me and speak badly with me. I knew her English was good enough for a good conversation. She also thought I was much younger than her. She was 29 at the time and I was 26. She thought I was around 18 or 19. On that first date, she learned my age and lowered her barrier. I asked her out a second time and that's when she knew I liked her. We saw each other one more time after that. Then, in November of that same year, I traveled back to Japan to spend a week with her. We had a great time together and have been together since.

I am very happy to see happy couples. I hope you never forget why you were attracted to each other. And yeah, having a positive outlook is everything. You really cannot control other people, only your thoughts, words, and actions.
Dead right about the Chinese wife not telling friends and neighbors about “the foreigner” my feelings were ruffled a little but I got over it when I met the family. 14 months married now and I’m happier than I ever thought I could be. Never thought I would find the love of my life 8,000 miles away in the middle Kingdom.
And besides ... having your own personal doctor to care for you is priceless. So you're a double and triple lucky guy. And to your wife: from what I (think I'd) "know" of him so far (from what I've seen on that channel), I think you made a pretty good pick. That guy has brains, manners, style and wisdom. That's pretty priceless too and really hard to find.
I can relate to you Winston. In 1965 I left France and landed in Montreal. I had a visa and got a job right away. I also spoke English having lived in England for a year as a nanny. I was planning to save money and apply to go to the States. Per chance I met a charming man and we married. It has been 52 years. I had to adapt, Remake a family. Five sons and 16 grandchildren later I am very happy with my fate. Your philosophy is mine. Growing spiritually through life's experiences. One thing I have gained through my choice of Canada has a home is becoming a citizen of the world. Ultimately I have chosen to follow christian principles. I think they make for a happier society. The first video I watched was about there being very few fat people in China. we had an American friend who was transferred by his company to China, in the manufacturing sector. He was maybe 400 lbs. his wife is a tiny thing. I was afraid for him. Did not say it of course! I am going to check Instagram to see some of the pictures. Another country like China is France. It's a criminal offence to be fat! I am joking but there is discrimination. It is not vocal. We have a native Indian saying: you need to wear my mocassins before you criticize me. Anyway I enjoyed listening to you. When we go to a Dim Sum place I am always going to wonder how they describe our couple: Old jewish guy with big nose and old fat wife! Its hilarious...

@@Mrbfgray sure, we can assume anything bad about her / them, I just don't see the point why? Besides, if she graduated at a decent university, soon she will be recognized as a US physician.
@@ReignOfdark My point is you are making broad assumptions based on what....a few minutes of video that they want to show us? We are not privy to their private lives. I've had GFs that everyone thought were great, and they were great half the time, they didn't see the insane toxic daily tirades that carried on for hr.s with no reason or purpose. My understanding is she will have to strive just to be a nurse in the US not remotely about to be a "doctor".
@@Mrbfgray All things come in due time. Believing and staying positive is how the world will get to a better place. Believing that things are negative and will only get worse is often a self fulfilling prophecy. Stay awesome!
@@Mrbfgray Look Bo, I come from a family of physicians and engineers. In my family, almost every male is an engineer and almost every woman is a physician, with some exceptions like me (I changed professions, and graduated as an MD a few years ago). My mother graduated in the Soviet Union, in the metropolis where Communism was born (Leningrad). She had no issues to naturalize her degree in Hungary, because we had the socialist system back then. Now an Ukranian nurse works at her department, because her MD is not IMMEDIATELY recognized / naturalized in Hungary. So yes, for a few years she had to complete task absolutely under her qualities, but it is a sacrifice she was willing to take to relocate and to live together with her husband. You know my family taught me that no work is derogatory as long as it is honest and I can perform it with dignity. Sacrifices we make for our loved ones are our choices and they are not humiliating. Sooner or later her degree will be naturalized in the US, there is little doubt about that. Eg. a lot of European universities immediately recognize a number of Chinese medical degrees, and a number of US universities immediately recognize these respective European universities' medical degrees. So even if it is a more complicated two-step process or just a prolonged one-step procedure, she will be recognized as an MD in the US.

A girl who wants to learn how to ride a (your) motorcycle is definitely of the right spirits. Says a passionate biker ... ;-) You guys are a great couple. Congrats and all the best!
Congratulations to both of you! I’m so happy to learn your story. I’m a Canadian American married to an Aussie, been here 30 years and was tickled to see the sky diving scene. You GO, girl! Interracial marriage is the best thing for children and the future world, this is how we will bring peace. Over come the barriers of nationalism, racism and culture. Think big and become a world citizen. Your children and humanity will only benefit. Now you’re in America, well done! I wish you and your kids a very happy life ahead 💚🌿💚
You are wrong, inter-racial marriage will not bring any peace to the world. still there will conflicts over the resources (land, petrol, sea, minerals , etc) and still there will be greedy people (of whatever race) that do not have a spiritual life and want to gain riches. On the other hand inter-racial marriages will do harm to the world, because the children of these marriages (most of the times, statistically, so do not bring me an exception as an example) will be exactly as you say : global citizens that will care only about themselves, and not bind to any location, or culture, they will only care to have a good job and make money and spent these money on stupid activities and luxury items. They will not , for example , care for the nearby forest or river, since they will not feel any connection to any place/land/city. They will be "mobile", and that means that they will not protest about anything, as long as they can move to another place/city and keep working and make money. They will not try to buy local products, but will by instead more imported products from far countries. They will be mostly ego-centric persons, with no sense of identity or belonging.

Teacher=Man=Leader I am married to a Thai woman who was vacationing in California with her mother. Started out as friends, and have now been together 13 years. I am very proud of her adventurous spirit, work ethic, honesty, and personal depth. She had a very, very interesting life in Thailand before coming here (she was a professional dancer, then singer, college graduate, then the right hand man for the wife of a prominent Thai legal, and political figure for almost thirty years). While here she earned her masters degree and is living a full, and actualized life as a quite normal American career woman. She has transitioned gracefully from a big fish in a small pond back in Thailand, to an exotic fish in an extremely large pond. It still amazes me how people from such different backgrounds, and genetic histories find each other, and so easily find mutual love in this diverse world of ours. I think that this openness, and respect given to diversity is what give America it's single greatest strength. We are the entire world here.
I don't usually comment on videos, so I hope you see this. I just read through the comment section and the blatant racism and shit talking here are discusting, I hope it doesn't get you down. Your videos are fantastic and I can't stop watching them. Also your wife is stunning and seems like a good person, good job and congratulations.
serpentza I'll admit I find you a bit of an odd guy, but your videos are interesting. But the comments here are disgusting. I think it's mostly people in China who are writing them because from a third person perspective it feels like a normal relationship. But these comments feel like they are in semi broken english with odd phrasing. I think it's just Chinese people that may not approve of foreigners dating in their country. Don't pay them any mind.

My wife is from Kuala Lumpur. Her dad said no. So we eloped, multi-national, trans Pacific. We have a 22 yr. old, and a 18 yr. old. Things changed. We were invited back to Malaysia for a big wedding/reception.
Yes,it is difficult for her to date a foreigner, like you (Winston)said, people would have a lot questions to her, so she has to keep it secret for a while, congratulations to your true love.
Well, China is a racist society if analyzed from our western eyes. People are indeed very racist in China, and not only the Han-Chinese. I know, for example, minorities in Yunnan that would never marry/date a Han-Chinese only due to the fact that they are "han" (even though they look pretty similar). People in Asia, in general, probably care more about race than people in "the west". Probably 98% of all Chinese parents would question the choice of their son/daughter if they chose to date a foreigner. In the west, probably only 10% would question such a relationship, probably even lower in Northern Europe. Most of the friends of the Chinese person would also tell the person to be careful and so on if they the person in question dated a foreigner. Imagine in the west if you told someone you knew who dated a person from, say, China (or any other foreign ocuntry=, to be careful only because he/she is a foreigner... Pretty stupid in my opinion as we are all individuals with different characters and traits. One cannot judge a person just because of their "race" or their nationality which is what often happens in China or any other Asian country for that matter. Maybe it is because these countries are very homogeneous and have not been exposed to many different types of people for very long.
I am Chinese, naturalized American, my parents fled communist China in 1949, I was born 3 months earlier before they board the ship to Taiwan, very lucky .Coiiege educated in Taiwan and finished graduate school in the U.S.
Doesn't matter if she's a doctor, nor anything else for that matter.. The most important thing is the “love” that you feel for each other, for that in itself is the ultimate prize and blessing in life.

Congrats, man. Happy for u. Wish i may find my soulmate too. Maybe in China. Anyhow, you surely deserve it as you have a good heart and treat women well.
I'm Caucasian, living in the US, and my wife is Chinese from the Philippines. I've known her for 38 years and we've been married for 36 years. She had a green card and was going to become a citizen in about six months when we met. We got engaged after dating for about three weeks (didn't want to rush things :0) and I began to visit her house regularly and take her out on dates. She didn't tell her family that we were in a serious relationship. On day, I was having lunch at her house (cooked by her mom who made incredible Chinese dishes ). My fiance went upstairs to get something and my future mother-in-law looked me in the eyes. "Are you engaged?", she asked in broken English. I wasn't sure what to say to her but decided to tell her the truth. "Yes, we are", I said. "No, cannot be" she said. When my fiance came back to the table, the two women started to talk in Amoy (my wife speaks four languages, but her native dialect is Hokkien/Amoy). My mother in law had wanted her to marry a Chinese guy. My parents were more open about who I would marry. My fiance and I wound up marrying about a year later. My mother in law was always kind to me, cooked incredible food, and helped to watch my children. She lived with us for many years until her Alzheimer's Disease became too advanced. She was always kind to me but I wish that I could have spoken Chinese with her. My wife is a very good mix of traditional and modern, which your wife seems to be as well. My wife is a very strong person, loves her family, and is very loyal. I'm very fortunate to have met her.
Omni Yambot and what’s your problem with that? Their population can’t cope with their fast growing economy and for all I know these two countries has a workforce that can speak and understand english, it would be stupid to hire someone from mainland china! Jealous?

She also thought I was much younger than her. She was 29 at the time and I was 26. She thought I was around 18 or 19. On that first date, she learned my age and lowered her barrier. I asked her out a second time and that's when she knew I liked her. We saw each other one more time after that. Then, in November of that same year, I traveled back to Japan to spend a week with her. We had a great time together and have been together since.

Beurk.
I would also add integrity as his characteristic. Winston is a good man.
Thank you for explaining your future children how you met their mother in 12 minutes and not in 9 years
I can relate to you Winston.

She is absolutely one of the best looking Chinese I've ever seen. Like a model. And a physician! You hit the jackpot, dude! :)
She *was* but no longer a "doctor", not in the USA. Anyway you don't know her she might be misreble to live with for all we know.

You guys are a great couple.
Never knew Australian,Canadian and American are race...most of them are white European Caucasian

Yes,it is difficult for her to date a foreigner, like you (Winston)said, people would have a lot questions to her, so she has to keep it secret for a while, congratulations to your true love.
Frank Liu are you french or chinese ?
Yellow fever?
