1:53 I feel like Silas is considering turning the gun on himself, but suicide is a huge no-no in Christianity, so he points the gun at the police (limply, with clearly no intent to actually fire) so that they'll put him down.
Imagine Conan O'Brien playing the role of Silas.... Police: Suspect has albinism aka white as a ghost, red hair, tall, lanky, clean shaven and 90% legs. May have a slight resemblance to actress Tilda Swinton.
Most of the comments here are about Silas and Aringarosa, but Professor Teabing had strong flexes here too. He manipulated an entire council of Catholic secret societies, then double-crossed them in grandiose fashion. Then proceeded to (almost) reveal to the world that Catholicism was fraudulent, which would destroy said council completely. Ian McKellan played an absolute mastermind in this movie.
Excuse me? Silas was mistreated by his alcoholic father, rejected by everyone else and the only person who had any compassion for him was an ambitious priest.
he was a fanatic member of the opus dei, the penitence scene says it all. Every religion has someone like him, the sad part was that he has no choice in everything as he was raised to be like this. A truly tragic figure
I love how Fauche had honor in the end to stop chasing Landon when finding out he was innocent and that the The Bishop lied and used him.
No one normal will like being manipulated with...

He was used by everyone but he kept his core beliefs to the end
He couldn't have turned the gun on himself, if you look closely, he was out of ammo b/c the slide was locked back. Suicide by cop.
I think the gun was actually out of bullets because the slide is all the way back, which usually means it's empty.
I'm sure god will be fooled by that technicality.
You can see in 1:56 that his gun ran out od bullets. He wouldnt be able to shoot neither himself or the cops
Dr. Octopus and Vision. Ain't that a powerful tag team.
You are forgetting the most dangerous one. Leon the Professional.
Hahahahhaha that was funny statement
You forgot old Maneto there too.. this after he was shot with vaccine that lost his powers. From Xmen last stand
While Do and Vision is not yet discovered
Magneto as always thr master mind
Wow... Silas turned into John Wick... 😂😂😂His accuracy like 80% also the police are completely incompetent... 😂😂😂
One of the most underrated films of all time.
Underrated? This was like the biggest movie of the year when it came out!

10 years on, this role would have gone to Steve Merchant.
If he's an albino, he can't have red hair.

Nah, you’re seeing things.
Yeah that is Alfred Molina. The one who played doc Octavius
The soundtrack in this movie was so good!
He was out of ammo anyway.
“Mankind can finally be set free”
Vision, Doctor Octopus, Magneto
Silas is the most badass Christian there is. We need more Silases!
No more christians, please.
that sentiment is about as unChristian as you can get. Thanks for exposing your falseness.
So all Christians should be criminals and terrorists? Is that what you’re saying?
Excuse me? Silas was mistreated by his alcoholic father, rejected by everyone else and the only person who had any compassion for him was an ambitious priest.
Kevin Hart played Silas Epic movie
“God uses us all.”

Why didn't god flew down and stopped the bullets that killed Silas? Or at least turn them into sand or something else
