Hair came out lovely as usual. I was actually going to recommend you try it instead of the Jerri Curls stuff. This line was actually the upgrade to jerri curls back in the day. My mom used to use the whole system for more of a dry curl effect (moisturize but not dripping 😂). She used this finishing lotion as a moisturizer also when she went natural before I did and it was so good. I used to use it over my organic products to lock in moisture plus it did pop my curls too. I actually was thinking of going back to it last week because I am having a hard time retaining moisture without frizz. I had stopped using it because of the ingredients, but it’s still better than using the popular gels. It also made my wash days easier because of the moisture it makes your hair retain (less tangles). The mousse is nice too. But yes, you will definitely get any drying effect from the gels not the lotion as you said. It’s an OG product for older persons like myself. It doesn’t make your hair feel gross like the Jerri Curls products 😊. It’s definitely not a new concept 😉...as they say “nothing new under the sun”. Design essentials has a similar lotion, but it causes flake city with natural hair products...not as moisturizing either.
We are over here mixing some of the old with the new haha after using this I will not be using the s-curl one again (I dont need to). This one is so much better and my hair responded to it well. Like you said the ingredients are not the best but the ingredients in wetline aren't either sooooo..... hahaha thanks for sharing your experience. Since I don't do wash and gos often I don't mind pulling this out every now and then

I'm not sure if you saw my video where i used s-curl but I wasnt feeling the pink lotion. I think it was too heavy for my hair for a wash and go. If. I try it I will let you know
If you just use the curl activator like I used it doesn’t have an effect on your hair. It’s just like a leave in conditioner but has no chemicals so you’ll still be natural. Just make sure you are buying curl activator and not the actual texturizer (I have the product I used linked in the description box)
Please be careful this is a serious system It’s called wave nu-vo that’s how to pronounce the product.. it’s not an s’curl.. it’s part of a perm >system < which is acid balance ( short for permanent wave) A perm is different from a relaxer and is acid balanced the hair Must stay wet, moisturized or your hair will break off since it’s acid (the perm is the left numbers) relaxers are on the right alkaline side it’s worn dry (right numbers) for example showing the PH scale.. acid-0-alkaline 1234567-0-891011121314… relaxer is alkaline and a perm is acid ( short for permanent wave using this perm >system < you must keep your hair moisturized… Caucasian type hair is already straight so there is no need to straighten the hair… Afro type hair has a wave nu-vo straightener with a processing time, then rinse after that time then use a wrap lotion with end papers and perm rods rinse after that time. Neutralize after that time rinse take rods out . care free curl is a perm just like wave nuvo.. perms are different from relaxers .. please take heed to this warning.. peace

A lot of people confuse the “jeri curl juice” for the jeri curl system whereas the jeri curl activator is only just a product that is used in conjunction with those who got the Jeri curl process to provide moisture to their hair. Like for example The scurl product does not have anything in it that perms the hair. It’s just a moisturizer. I took a look at the product you used, and it’s just a moisturizer for those who actually got the chemical process done.but will not perm your hair. It even says on the bottle that it can be applied to natural and permanent waves hair. However, please feel free to research for to confirm for yourself.
