      There was a glitch with expansion drives where the console would go to sleep but you had to restart it to power it back on and then it would have to rebuild the database. Happened a few times until Sony released a patch to fix it.

    Hey man, just a question a year later, are you still using the same SSD? And if so did you keep the same heat sink or did you buy a different one?
    It’s currently on sale and I never seen this brand before and was wondering if I should pick it up along side a bigger heat sink or just use it with the one included

    • @PunchNpie
      @PunchNpie  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Still using the exact same SSD with the same heat sink. But yeah, I saw they were really cheap right now, like $65. That’s a hell of a deal for this drive. If only these guys would make expansion SSD’s for the Xbox too.

    Great video. I don't like that crappy little heatsink. I got the 2TB for $250 and bought the Sabrent PS5 Heatsink for $20. I couldn't be happier.
    Also, don't get caught up in the reported speed after formatting. I did it 5 times with the same drive and got very different speeds every time. From 5800MB to 6500MB. And no drive will read at Max speed for any real length of time.

    QUESTION!!! I purchased the s70 blade and installed it with the SABRENT M.2 NVMe PS5 heatsink. (The one that looks like a surfboard) Once I started to install a game it, it would start strong for several seconds and then slow way down. I am currently trying to install the new star wars. Copying is halfway done with about 15 hours to go and then 99+ hours to finish the update files and other data needed to fully enjoy the game. Why is it running fast and then slow? I am thinking maybe it's over heating and I need to install another heatsink...Anyone have an answer for me?

    • @SamuelNeely
      @SamuelNeely ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks for reaching out. I'm still having some issues. However I haven't tried installing another game yet after installing star wars. It took a very long time and the ssd card never kicked in again after the 30gb or however much it was. but the game is finished. It's is a 4TB, I used the MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heatsink with it and a GRAUGEAR Metal Heat Dissipation Cover. I do have slow internet, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. On a side note, I have been playing ffxvi and on a few occasions my ps5 would start to run loud and hot and then shut off, in all about 5 seconds. So frustrating when that happens.
      Anyways, I'll try playing star wars first, and if that goes smoothly, then I'll try installing another game

      According to Sony this is correct. If you leave the cover off the m.2 bay it throws off the airflow of the console. It need to be sealed for the console fan to move the air as intended.

      Mine worked for months then stopped my ps5 from booting up. Might’ve been a PS five update that rendered this unusable. I even sent my PS five back thinking something was wrong with it turns out whenever I put this back into my SSD slot I cannot boot up my console. Take it out and it works fine. I would avoid this brand until they figure out what happened.

You can pick them up for about $20 on Amazon. The drive is probably corrupted and the system doesn’t know what to do with it.

Just gives the option to turn off. Also when I opened it the heat sink was already on and it also has an extra identical heat sink which I don’t understand why it has and extra one if this video shows it only comes with one and it’s Not attached.
